Hi there
Are there already any experiences with the used car cycles for the PAL version? I had seen an FAQ, which stated that the Audi S4 (98) will be on sale in week three. This is the car, which I wanted to use for the Beginner Series. So I spent the first two weeks doing licenses and when I checked the dealer, there was no S4 at all.
Now I am doing a lot of silly stuff, like specal condition racing, licenses etc., but I would really like to start racing with the old S4. Can anybody give me some guidance, when it will be available?

Here in Switzerland, GT4 PAL is officially available since March 3. Most mail order shops have sent it to their customers already on march 2, so that they can play it starting March 3.
So I have bought a completely legit copy.
No piracy, no modded PS2, just 89 Swiss Francs.

I have started one in preparation for updating the QRG to an NA version. I have gotten through the first seven rotations (in about a 2 days), and so far I have seen 212 unique used vehicles.
I am recording all the given data and then buying the cars to get their actual garage HP. In the end, all the data will be displayed in a Car Detail screen that will replace the simple screenshots.

That is pretty impressive work. How long does it take you to do a cycle? I'm doing a bare minimum list and it still takes my about half an hour per cycle

I would think it is probably taking me about 30-45 minutes per cycle. Unfortunately, I have not had much time to work on this in the last few days. Below is the Excel attachment with info in for the first 8 rotations.
You will notice that not very many cars have there garage power yet. That is due to the advance of the date with every car purchase. I can only purchase 7 cars per rotation.

The power and torque details on the used car's "buy" screen is identical to that when they arrive in the garage. Thus you don't need to actually purchase the cars.
You and I need to get our heads together, BTW. I've noted some drastic power and weight differences in the PAL release compared to the NTSC/J. Have you found anything like that in NTSC/NA? Many of the Eunos Roadsters/Miatas/MX-5s have different weights and the Primera 2.0 Te has a 40kg difference between the two versions.
(I'm on Week 3 of the PAL list now).

we need a list for wheels too, maybe a master list that shows an onging history with opened tracks, second hand cars and wheels etc... what else changes by date?

dbarrade - I'm not doing colours yet. It would be easy, I guess, to write "white", "blue", "yellow" and suchlike, but many cars come with a wide variety of, for example, blues. On the second pass I'll have enough money to buy the cars and put the colour names on the list. Until then, I'm not bothering.

on my PAL version the first time it appeared was day 226ish, year 1, november 12 i purchased it. its a busy week for rare and 10km(6.2miles) cars becuase these are all available:
late 90s:
sprinter treuno gt-apex shuichi shigeno version
subaru 22b
r34 gt-r vspec (10km)
honda civic type r EP (10km)

Last I saw you were on the 8th week - one of my save files is on the 22nd week or so, so I'm going to start work on that in the morning (about 8 hours from now).

Thanks for the offer, but I'm one of those weird people that doesn't believe anything unless I've seen it myself. I'm doing the list to satisfy my own curiousity, although kamikazekoala is filling in the colours for me.
