used civic Si

in the used cars showroom 1 there are honda civic si's being sold. one is from year 92, another from year 93 and from year 95. i think there is no difference in the cars between those years, why include such repetitive cars in the list?

A common question, my friend and one that used to cause much ire here on the fora.

The least contentious answer is that it allows players to have more chance of getting a car in-game that is exactly like the one they have in real-life.

Good job you didn't see the '91 one as well. :D

There's mild power/weight differences, but nothing to really trouble the scorers.

Why? Dunno. Ask PD (if you could, which you can't).

Meh.... I think it was for the car count. I mean what do they really NEED to change for it other than the year? Kinda like the bazillion or so Skylines.

like everyone else, onbly pd can really answer this and we all know we'd LOVE to get ahold of that team who created this game...too many things wrong...not the thread to list them...multiple cars is one of them...example, several skylines

Why is multiple cars a bad thing? The more the merrier. In real life, there isn't just one make of the Skyline or Civic, why should there only be one make in GT4? After all, it is a racing simulation. Meaning, a simulation of real life.

I got the 95, but, it was the cheapest for some reason. I breezed through the sunday cup without mods. Lupo almost cinched the first race but got screwed on the uphill.

Well the skylines i agree with ...i have one rb20det,rb25det and of course the rb26dett....also in rwd and awd configs...fun stuff

not to be a car snob, but the rb's are the engine codes.....the chassis codes for skylines are the bnrXXX.

correction: to be a car snob.....

sorry about that.....

I think one of the main reasons for such repetive cars is because they advertised they have 650+ cars in the game. So each one counts as a different car :sly:

What really sucks is that i own a Civic HB SI '92 (1992 but a 4th gen though) and they aren't in GT. From GT1 till GT4 you can choose a gen1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 from multiple years but no 4.

The closest to my car would be the CRX from '92 or The Si Motul racecar (the motul is exactly the same as mine but since its a raceversion i'm not satisfied).

CJ350 my first car was a civic hb to, not ingame but in real life. The reason was the same though :D

My first was a 68 Karman Ghia, tomato red, 1100 cc engine. Bought , repaired , painted, and sold it before I turned 15. And it was real cheap when I bought it too. My first car ( that I was old enough to drive ) was a '69 Nova. My first high school ride.

There is nothing wrong with that, except there is also more than one version of the Jetta and the Golf, more than one color for the Zonda, and so on. I just don't agree with the millions of Japanese cars, but only one verion of the Jetta?:indiff: PLus there are five gerations of the Jetta as well! Come on! Same goes for a lot of other cars to.

A lot of that repitition is because they could use the same model, and skin it for the different variations, adds to the car count, but saves massive amounts of memory room in the game.
