I'm interested! if it's on sundays 6 pm i might join, fill me in on the specs please! You got a website? im on the east coast.

I'm defiantly loving the sound of this. Weekdays would work best for me if if was in the afternoon. Sundays might work for me but my work schedule varies week to week.

You know me, I'd love to join and commit to the series, but seeing as my schedule in life changes constantly for a number of reasons, GT5 would obviously have less priority over other things.. That being said, I'm very interested as a race like this sounds just right for me, so put me down, but please, don't hold it against me if I can't make it for any reason.

I agree with weekday nights, but that will cut off a lot of the Europeans form the season.

I also have a slot available at your 3:00pm PST time if that's the time you end up choosing?

huh, interest starting to roll in nicely :)

The times I'm seeing wont work for me at the moment. The best time I can do it is anytime Friday after 1pm MST. Saturday Morning or Sunday morning. The other days I work. I may take off Thursday's soon or possibly monday but leaning more toward Thurs.

Thanks for the interest guys.

The thing about the schedule is that I will not be running any more series outside FMSC that are in the middle of the day. So this leaves one of three choices:

- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday after 9pm EST (7pm MST)
- Saturday night after 6pm EST (4pm MST)
- Sunday night before 7pm EST (5pm MST)

We're at the time of year that I will be getting up early on the weekends to go hiking, so mornings won't work.

Also, my schedule in the near future is not 100% set in stone, so at the moment I would really like to get a bunch of you together for a small practice race or two. That way everyone has their say on any changes to the cars and to make sure everyone is happy before we just into a mini championship.

For Europe it means...
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday after 2am GMT
- Saturday night after 11pm GMT
- Sunday night before 12am GMT

I'm ok for Saturday and Sunday schedules ;)

Sound like Friday is winning out going back through all the posts. I'll get everything set up for a practice race this Friday. 👍

Friday could work for me, I will be testing and will be present for the practice.
Will you be racing RT?

Nothing required, but you can do whatever you wish. I'm getting the practice race thread put together right now.

As I said in the spot race thread I'm in as long as it's a weeknight at 9pm.

Would you guys prefer we follow the actual V8 Supercars qualifying/race format, or should we do our own thing?

Keep it simple and stick with our own thing, to be honest.

Successful pre-season race. Let's continue our discussion here for the upcoming season.

I should have a full fledged thread open next week. I also thought of something tonight that might be an issue. Daylight Savings Time is Sunday morning, so our start time will have to stay the same for me, but will move back one hour for everyone else. Meaning the east coast guys would be racing at 11pm. :nervous:

Let me know if this is going to be an issue for everyone. We could possibly move the races to another day/time, but my personal schedule is pretty limited at the moment.

Some questions for everyone:

1) I will be changing the race format from one single qualifying session and 35 minute race, to two qualifying sessions and two 20 minute races. This good with everyone?

2) Even though we are not using tire wear, I would like to implement a mandatory pit stop for each race. Any objections?

Also some notes:

1) Since the cars make around 650hp fully broken in, I will be reducing their power to around ~625hp for the full season.

2) Regarding the 7th gear issues, I will take a look at the replay tomorrow. Since this was basically a practice race, a time penalty might be issued depending on how severe it was. In the full season, penalties may include loss of championship points.

If I come up with more I will let you know.

Good racing out there today guys. :)👍

Im in whatever format... (as long as the races dont start much later than the one whe had last night)

Sorry I bailed last night. I was exhausted from being up til 2am Friday morning on iRacing and since I had fallen so far back thought trying to finish would be pointless.
