VCRC *'79 Hatchbacks Team Enduro @ Cape Ring Inside* Complete!

Sorry guys I think I'm going to withdraw. The real interest for me in this race initially was being able to run with Zorrin as Team Canada and with Zorrin out, I just don't have the same zest for the race. Sorry...maybe next time...:indiff:

heavy damage is realy bloody annoying lost a whole race because someone in a civic was so slow and thought it was fun to race me eventhough it was not for points positions :( And that turn!!!! everyone was cutting it!?

I am sorry to my team mate the I lead the abarths and messed it up for him

It's all good. We'll get 'em next time!

YEah, thanks Watermelon for a good event though, I hope we do more like this (just 1 class though)

Good racing thanks all!

@ Geeky30 : heavy damage is indeed an acquired taste.
But I daresay it makes it seem more like racing to me... with pit stops & such.
As always, one must take the bad with the good. lol

I really enjoyed the race, it was really good, hope I didn't cut anyone up.

The bad thing is I didn't pit, so you might have to alter the score table.

Ive been watching bike racing all day and they don't pit.

Think it would have been more close racing if it was only one classe.

Thank you watermelonpunch for the great event. Good mix of cars and good driving from I could see. I had a couple of drivers come up behind me which caught me off guard so I hope I didn't impede them too much. One extra pit stop for to repair damage.

Thank you to Gazelle68 for having me as a teammate.

Watermelon - thanks again for yet another evening of fun racing.

Cobrius - again, please accept my sincearest apologies for taking you out on turn 1 and ruining the race for both of us :nervous:. i could see i was gaining on you - probably just traffic - and i flapped a bit and out braked myself...should have shown some patience, so sorry.

Saint - thanks to you too mate, just sorry i let the team down :banghead:

I agree, it was great just me getting frustrated after the one moment with the civic, :)
and I understand where your coming from with bad with good :dopey:

like coribus just said 'its only a game' ... just a very addictive game though

It's like we went to some kind of motivational seminar where everyone makes the podium!

Congrats all. Literally. :D

Open for suggestions about a race for next month. 2 class, low power. Pair suggestions & track suggestions. I'm all ears. :D

everyone's a winner :D

if only i had the technical know-how to insert a comical picture of an overcrowded podium.....

@anyone else, feel free :lol:

Interesting race there, only two braking points per lap which meant that the lines had to be dead on. The long sweeping left hander was surprisingly vital to a good lap, I was losing over a second on the corner in qualifying.

I was a bit befuddled as to why everyone was in front by miles, didn't realise the cars were so far apart in performance. Well done Team Merlin and everyone else for a podium finish.

I tried :P We all now have dogs too.

And dogs... ha ha ha

Yes that sweeping left-hander was definitely vital, particularly in the Abarth - as it was very good with that part of the track (if one gets it right).
cc570 had me beat, as usual, with that... Seems no matter what cars we are in on Cape Ring Inside... cc570 always does better on that left hander than me!~
I often try following his lines through there... only to wind up not being able to be consistent in that area.

I really enjoyed the "two-class" racing, and I hope we do it again.

Mazda 110s/cosmo sport and 2nd generation Miata (nb)

Autozam and Beats!

Spitfires and Alfa spider duetto

Toyota MR2 First gen and spyder.

Thanks very much Tyrrell for Team Merlin win:cheers:

Thanks again Melon for agreat event:tup:

oooh autozam & beats... that would make it very difficult for me to decide between them. LOL

Toyota MR2 First gen and spyder

How close are those have you taken them for a spin?
Any track suggestions?

Mazda 110s/cosmo sport and 2nd generation Miata (nb)

Spitfires and Alfa spider duetto.

These two have my vote, the latter especially. Maybe on Rome or Rome reverse?

I tried them at Tsukuba and they are about 2-3 sec a lap apart. The Trueno fits neatly between the two. FWIW the MR2 1600 g is ~352 pp the MR2 Spyder is 383 pp and the Trueno is 364 pp.
ps I just picked Tsukuba randomly to test on not because I think its the best track.

Would be nice.:)

Dangit dangit dangit! I'm sorry that I missed out, I was really looking forward to this.

I do support the Alfa vs Spitfire race, would the Nissan Fairlady work as well?

No love for the MR2s:(

The mr2 spyder is pretty much my fav car in the game.

Perhaps a Lotus Elan and a Honda S800 would be fun.

Or even the S800 and the Toyota Sports 800. They were basically rivals back in the day, though they might be too similar for the race.
