This is gonna sound strange, but the X2010 is too good. I can't steer the thong the right amount. I always oversteer. I don't have a wheel and I don't have any friends, and I don't have money so... How can I make this easier?
 
Turn down the power thru the engine settings (power limiter), practice and gradually add the power. Takes a while my friend...

Well I can't limit the power. Like I said it's the Vettel challenge.
 
I found that upping the steering sensitivity higher than the default helps. I put mine at 3, but quite a few people have done it at 7 or higher, even managing gold. Turn off everything too (ABS, Traction, etc.) as you won't need it. The car is literally glued to the ground. You should get used to braking later than usual too.


But the best advice is practice, practice, practice. And lots of patience. Learning the track(s) helps tremendously.

Just to make one thing clear here, I golded all my Vettel challenges in an honest way
I used my DFGT for that and don't get me wrong cause
I understand for you DS3 guys this is mission impossible

Working on the other 2 in the vettel challenge , but this is in most cases is frowned upon here . There's lots of tracks with exits out but I don't like to encourage it . So in answer to your question , at the moment no unless somebody knows otherwise ;)
 
For the Vettel challenge put the controller sensitivity on 7, and it'll be easier. And the only way to win the X1 challenge without cheating is to keep going, not giving up, as well as watching some replays, and watching your own replays when you do a good lap.

Try setting "Active Steering" setting to Mild. Will help with oversteer.

Indeed, for 99% of the DS3 users Vettel gold is impossible. Wasted time. :banghead:

Monza is doable with a DS3, I know it because I've done it. :)👍

Glitches for the Vettel challenge:

Nürburgring GP:



Monza:



Suzuka:




But they have patched a lot, so you basically need to deinstall GT5 first (before do a complete backup to a external HDD if you want to keep your replays & pics, and a backup of your gamesave) glitch to gold,
save your gamesave to your USB stick, restore your complete backup & overwrite your gamesave with the gold one from your USB.

When I have time I am going to test it out. But I am really wondering what happens to my gears when I load my gamesave with GT5 v1.0.
Hopefully I don't loose all gears, because for GT5 v1.0 racing gear items would be "unknown item". Not in mood to send again 1350 racing gear items. :scared:

Ok , managed to get out on Nurburgring , only thing is you need to be quick on your exit out of track , you need to do it under 45 seconds . Check ZeGerman's post to see which angle you need to be facing for fastest exit , ;)

I know you can get out of the track, I just tested it and while its slightly harder than suzuka, it works.

But tell me, have you achieved to complete a lap without getting auto-reseted back on the track?

If yes, how?

Cause the GT-TV my GT5 game data was over 25gb and the HDD was strangling to load the game, so i've decided to deleted the game data and everything is in place, except replays, fotos and tracks.
Also all the settings are intact.
The only problem is that a lot of cars and i do mean "A LOT" doesnt have thumbnails.
The Helmets and the suits in the items list are listed as
DRIVER_BODY
DRIVER_HEAD
Sorry for the capital letter but they are listed that way.

***Note*** If you try to enter in any of these 2 folders the game will freeze.

If you know how the lap pattern works for the money glitch on Nurburgring , I would presume this is the same sequence , if you don't know the sequence then enter a lobby which is on nurburgring doing a money glitch 25-50 laps and just watch the race and copy their lap pattern , make sure you don't go over the track line opposite start/finish to much , the lap pattern is hard to explain , kinda a figure of 8 , anyway check out glitch lobby's , get to know the lap , then try the challenge , but you have to get out of track fast . I'll try it again shortly and post back ;)

I've managed it too, multiple times. But it's much harder as Suzuka & I wasn't able to complete a lap. I've got very fast rebooted to the track, looks impossible. :yuck:

Seems like if you want to glitch the Nürburgring GP you need to downgrade to v1.0. Haven't tested Monza, but I guess it's the same here. :sly:

Are the gear names back after updating to v1.10? Broken thumbnails is not a big deal (fixable), even if all 2000 thumbnails are broken I would still do it. :)

I've managed to leave the track on both Monza and Nurburgring (on 1.10) but I always get resetted back to the track.

Turn on stability assist or something like that that in the description says for beginners. I immediately golded Suzuka by 7 tenths after being stuck 2 tenths slower for ages and with a messy lap, easily got gold on Nurburgring 1.4 seconds faster then gold and Monza I'd already done. You'd be surprised how much it improves your lap time!

I had the same thing happen to me, It doesn't make sense to me why I can leave in the newer fixed version but not the original unfixed game.
 
@599GT: are you sure? :confused:

It doesn't make sense. With the "stock" GT5 (v1.00) it should be possible, because their are all holes unpatched & you don't get rebooted to the track.

Or have PD opend the hole at Suzuka in v1.10 on purpose, for us frustrated DS3 players? :lol:

Yeap everything is back.

I have 2 things to add...1 bad and 1 good/odd...
The bad 1st,
The car thumbnails arent missing in "just a lot of cars" ....none of the cars have thumbnails :banghead: ...it looks like they have thumbnails but if you change the display in extra large thumbnails (i have about 1060 cars) not even 1 have thumbnail....

Now the good/odd thing
The good thing (and that is really interesting)...i'll do an intro to say exactly how it happened.
I deleted the Game data via XMB, i disabled the Internet via XMB, i've started the game just to have a look to see how things looks and if everything is in place....Quited the game enabled Internet on the PS3, (i havent signed in to PSN) updated GT5 and when i got to the Home Screen, i got 2 tickets :eek: .
I am not joking, it gave me the CLK-LM Race Car for completing something in the AMG event...but i have golden the AMG before 6 months or so??? :odd:
and the other ticket is.....sorry i cant recall the ticket now i am in the middle of glitching the 24h nurburgring Endurance and i cant check.
Anyway...
When i saw the pop-ups saying "you got the ticket blah blah blah" ...i though, ok the game gone nuts, it wont actually give me the tickets....well it did!
I had 6 tickets and now i have 8, i checked, rechecked, quited/reboot the game, sign in/out to psn, and the tickets are still there...
Something is terribly wrong with this games, i wonder if i delete the game data again, will it give same 2 tickets again ????
 
Has anyone been able to use the glitch on Monza/Numbering to get under the track and gold the event running 1.10 yet?

As I only have a DS3 I had given up on getting gold on these to platinum the game a while ago but after seeing the Suzuka video I tried it last night and it worked. If I went too far away from the track or tried to follow under the track then game would reset me back on top. However if I followed a number eight pattern like in video I was able to stay underneath the track and trigger the lap timers to gold with a total time of 1'17.xx

Sorry mate i dont know, i havent tried it.
But i have 2 ps3's, i'll fire up the old multi-YLOD'ed one with the hope that it will last long enough so i can test if the glitches works and hopefully i will not have to reflow it again to get the disc out :nervous:.

In about 8 hours the endurance ends, i'll post as soon as i test it out.
