Maybe some day my son (who is now 1½ years old) will want to learn "from the master" as you are. I can hope ....Easy$$Vicious: Yeah...having a dad who's been a graphic designer for as long as Ive been alive kinda helps. Hes like a walking PS book.
the "Editor".E$ did a great job of utilizing a so-so pic. The vector treatment was one of the best possibilities for an image of this quality, and the resulting image is outstanding. The overall design is very commercial and could easily be used.
I have no comments on how the image could be improved upon for it's intended use.
the "Editor".I think that the billboard idea, especially with the car over-hang, is a great idea. I also like the fact that the wheels were changed to a better fit for the car as well as the recoloring.
I do feel that there is a problem with the text: it needs to be tapered on the right side on order to show proper perspective. The text is also to "clean" for the image. It should of had a small amount of blur added in order to give the effect of the viewers distance from the sign.
Also, in a billboard of this size, you should have a small seam at the points where the car overhangs the original billboard. That is a small issue, but I feel that it need ed to be pointed out.
the "Editor".What stands out the most about this ad is how clean it is, as well as the duo-tone color background. Very nice. I also like the mountain in the distance, it gives a good illusion of depth in the picture.
I do have an issue, however, with the placement of the cars. I feel that the Nike car should be in the foreground and a bit smaller. After all, it is quite a lot smaller in "reality" then the S7. In this image, it looks to seat a family of 4 and has 30" wheels.
On the S7 it's self: a bit more attention to the bad coloring on the door could have made a large difference in it's overall appearance.
The only other semi-major issue I see is: that there seems to be three suns in the sky. One for the S7. One for the Nike One. And one for the text. Each of the three shows a different position for the light source. It is not a huge thing, but your mind still sees it as "something is not quite right here".
