Kind of interested depending on time/day. The Alfa hasn't got a chance of competing with the others though, same with the camaro.

Well, I feel sorry for the guy that takes those cars out for this race then, lol. I just didn't want to limit anyone who is interested to only a few cars. More options for everyone. But once there is more interest in this we will get a time/date sorted out.
 
Sounds cool, tried planning a Le Mans Classic but interest failed, so I'm working on a second. I'm interested 👍
 
Lol to b honest I've tried a few events similiar before n they always fail but I was hoping with such a strong repuitoire between these groups on gtp nowadays that maybe something like this could actually happen, especially since summer is winding down
 
Think I might enter with the jag after coming to the conclusion the Alfa will have absolutely no chance with all the straight bits of road here, or maybe the Challenger...

in BST timezone? I'd try a weeknight but my college starts soon, so planning for me is way up in the air.
 
I'll probably join with the XJ13 as it's a great car and I like the way it handles and the awesome noise it makes. :)
 
Planning is always way up in the air but I'm trying to figure something out.

I think Nights will be the way to go since 2/3 of the guys here are on the Western Hemisphere. But are these same guys really going to agree to do a Weekend at noon? Because that would be good but almost impossible to actually make happen. So I'm leaning towards a Weekday night or Sunday night (which seems to hold the most fortune for this series) or even Sunday at noon (which also seems good but has a lot US guys missing football )

ughh.......too tough to decide.

Sunday night seems to be best, but idk. I will let this brew in here for another few days.
 
You're the organizer, you should just make one final decision and set a time and date where anyone interested and can play will join.

If you leave up to each participant of course there will many different choices and confusion.

I know dude, i just would like a full field. But i am almost certain it will be on a sunday night.

Lol ...... next weekend is good too, just thought it might be to early. The following two weekends after that r booked for me.
 
I don't mind planning ahead. Gives me time to prepare and be ready for whatever time works best. I'd love to drive the Alfa as well in case there is enough of a field for it.

If there is a full (enough) field for next weekend I'm still game. (Aug 27-28 that is. Weekend after that I am way).

I'd have to be honest and say that a vintage race should not be unrestricted tires though. Personally I would scale that way back - but again just personal opinion.

If it is a weekday then i can't do it because of school,
and if if it is September 25th I can't because it is a bad day in my family and we usually do something together
 
Well, I think next Sunday (9/4) at 8pm cdt is going to be the time for this race. Is 5 laps enough? That's around 17 minutes of racing. We could go up to 10 laps?? That will make most drivers pit for new tires. And as for using Racing Hards on these cars all maxed out is insane, you can't touch the gas in any turn with those tires. I know it would be more realistic but I ran a series similar to this and tried the hard tires and everyone hought I was nuts so I had to agree the Softs handle way better. But your opinion and suggestions are welcome. And anyone elses too.
 
I was thinking more of the Alfa but I see your point on the tires. I'll be away 9/4 - but I am sure there is no good date/time for everyone. Have fun.

Well, I really would like you to race this event. How about we hold a Exhibition Race this Sunday night (8/28 @ 8pm cdt) to see who all joins and to see how all the cars fare on track in-race. And maybe then we can set an official date (like 9/4 or 9/11) for this proze event. I'm using this event as an exhibition / preseason race for my Vintage Muscle Series, for any of you interested in that, here's what that schedule looks like:

Series will start 9/25 @ 9pm cdt / Preseason this Sunday @ 8pm cdt

Vintage LeMans pre-season race #1 (Exhibition Race) 8/28 @ 8pm cdt (this Sunday)

Vintage LeMans pre-season race #2 (Prize Race) 9/4 or 9/11 @ 8pm cdt

Speed Week #1 9/12 - 9/17 - Look for me online tuning at Daytona or hosting a lobby at various road courses

Off - 9/18 (my Anniversary) - Tune your cars and keep up with the thread!!!
