Ok, I am good for this Sunday. Actually I am going to the Indy Car race in Sonoma/Infineon Raceway but should be home with plenty of time.

Sign me up!

Cool, I added you. I hope everyone can make it Sunday night! I know that are friends here from the U.K. probably won't be able to join because its pretty late for them, sorry guys. But please join us if any of you decide to stay up real late.

Well, we have 14 sign-ups with at least 4 members overseas. So that leaves 10 guys who said they can make it. But I only have 5 of them comfirmed! If only 5 show up then we will run this as an exhibition. But if 10 guys do race we will spend sometime practicing, and maybe run a 1 lap practice race. After a little bit of that we will go right to the main event of 5 laps and call it the prize race. Thanks guys! Hope to see you all there this Sunday @ 8pm cdt!

P.S. - Loosen your car up, limit the aero and raise the h3LL out of the transmission because you will be going approximatly 200+ by yourself & near 250+ in draft(Trans will be set 249 - 280). Remember to take it easy coming of the start into the first few turns. Stay tight & clean!!! If you bump someone into the sand YOU MUST WAIT FOR THEM!!! I know I don't need to tell anyone this but if you loose the draft going into the long straight on lap 1 you will have a long race and will need someone to spin-out to gain any position. Now spinning yourself out here is very likely, this is anyones race. When you spinout you loose 20sec :(
But the way to stay on top of all that is too have a drafting partner, remember there are no chicanes as we will be running 2005 (No Chicanes) configuration. Just like the good ole' days. So race clean, take it easy & stay together going to long straight away on lap 1, keep a drafting buddy, remember good sportsmanship & don't cut the chicanes at the end of your laps!! Thanks guys, see you on the track Sunday Night!

Also the regulations are:

Fuel/Tire Wear ON, Penalties OFF, Boost OFF, No False Start, Grip Reduction Real
No ASM, No Active Steering, No Skid Recovery Force

ABS, Driving Line & TCS are allowed

Tuning & Tire Wear is Unlimited!!!

I will save the race and watch to make sure everyone played fair!!

Last set of double chicanes before end of lap - Rule

DON'T CUT

But you don't have to slow down all the way and take it properly. Just let off the gas and stay real tight on the line. If you cut something due to driver error or mechanical problems that's fine but if you gain position please give it back. I will be watching the replay and will know what is fair.

All final Friend Requests will be made tonite and tomorrow. If I haven't sent one to you yet please don't hesitate to send me one. Thanks!

:ouch:Yea I'll knock a few names off my friends list that I haven't seen in awhile later tonite when I can get on. Sorry about the delay:dopey:

Couldn't show up. Power was out due to hurricane. Anyone show up? Too late for me to get on now.

Sorry I could not make it. The races ran a bit late due to bad morning weather. My wife also decided that she really wanted to stay for the world championship series race, which I didn't even know was happening.

Had every intention of making the race but the wife gets what the wife wants :)

It was an amazing race as well, so I am glad to have seen it.

How did it go?

Had only 3 show up lol and one kept getting dropped. I'll hold online lobbies like this late at night when I can and I'll send invites. But I was thinking of re-scheduling this for a week or two from now. And was thinking of changing to afternoons if that still doesn't work out.

I'm going to have to fix my sleep time soon because my vacation is coming to an end, so I would probably be able to join you guys if you schedule to your afternoons.

Last night's (morning for me) race was very educational, did an oil change and got the XJ to 688 bhp ... would probably get more if I get the engine broken in properly. :D

I'm also pretty sure I will add a performance point level to this of 640pp. This helps to tighten the field. Also it gets rid of overkill in hp and aero.

In testing I found the Ferrari P4 had a big advantage over the 2D and I would assume at least some of the others in the prototype class (on Sarthe). Did anyone get a chance to try it? Setting PP might help with that.

I actually have 2 Ferraris (from tickets) so I could put one on share if someone wanted to try/run it.

That would be cool except you can't use borrowed cars in online races.

Yea malloc you are totally right that some cars destroy others here. I have tested them all but a 2D. The 2J, Ferrari & Cobra kill here. So setting the pp down will help limit HP. Maybe even 620pp so every car just about has to adjust down and the underdogs can max out and add aero if needed.

I'd like to get into this too, Ken.

Are you planning on having all classes on track together or having separate races?

On track together, they all hit over 200mph with the majority at 220mph, so if the gt cars stay in draft on the long straight they have a great chance at winning the race. The prototypes are hitting 230+ mph solo. But I decided on a pp limit of 620 so the cars all should b maxing around 225mph solo, making it much more competitive.

I added you and will send a FR tonite. Yes all classes will be on track together, see above post/reply from me.

Sorry Crazy, it was just too late the other night, and after the epic Camaro race (hats off to your pushing by the way - a big orange Camaro constantly in my rear view mirror for 10 laps before pitstop - nice) it was just too long to wait and keep my eyes open.

Am still interested though mate 👍

Its no problem, maybe I will run this on a sunday afternoon once along with the scheduled night time so i can race with my british buddys

I added a few more guys to the list, I have 17 signed up but only expect 8 to show. So please prove me wrong guys!
