Cool, I added you. I hope everyone can make it Sunday night! I know that are friends here from the U.K. probably won't be able to join because its pretty late for them, sorry guys. But please join us if any of you decide to stay up real late.
Well, we have 14 sign-ups with at least 4 members overseas. So that leaves 10 guys who said they can make it. But I only have 5 of them comfirmed! If only 5 show up then we will run this as an exhibition. But if 10 guys do race we will spend sometime practicing, and maybe run a 1 lap practice race. After a little bit of that we will go right to the main event of 5 laps and call it the prize race. Thanks guys! Hope to see you all there this Sunday @ 8pm cdt!
P.S. - Loosen your car up, limit the aero and raise the h3LL out of the transmission because you will be going approximatly 200+ by yourself & near 250+ in draft(Trans will be set 249 - 280). Remember to take it easy coming of the start into the first few turns. Stay tight & clean!!! If you bump someone into the sand YOU MUST WAIT FOR THEM!!! I know I don't need to tell anyone this but if you loose the draft going into the long straight on lap 1 you will have a long race and will need someone to spin-out to gain any position. Now spinning yourself out here is very likely, this is anyones race. When you spinout you loose 20sec
But the way to stay on top of all that is too have a drafting partner, remember there are no chicanes as we will be running 2005 (No Chicanes) configuration. Just like the good ole' days. So race clean, take it easy & stay together going to long straight away on lap 1, keep a drafting buddy, remember good sportsmanship & don't cut the chicanes at the end of your laps!! Thanks guys, see you on the track Sunday Night!
Also the regulations are:
Fuel/Tire Wear ON, Penalties OFF, Boost OFF, No False Start, Grip Reduction Real
No ASM, No Active Steering, No Skid Recovery Force
ABS, Driving Line & TCS are allowed
Tuning & Tire Wear is Unlimited!!!
I will save the race and watch to make sure everyone played fair!!
Last set of double chicanes before end of lap - Rule
DON'T CUT
But you don't have to slow down all the way and take it properly. Just let off the gas and stay real tight on the line. If you cut something due to driver error or mechanical problems that's fine but if you gain position please give it back. I will be watching the replay and will know what is fair.
