Here you go Patrick. After much effort I've managed to extract a slightly enhanced image. Still not too clear though. :)
Thanks Paul, because of you I can see again!!! 👍

Cheers!

@Aaroh007 & @JockeP22 I just watched your battles from Monday at Monaco. Yeah! very well fought guys!!! 👍👍👍
Hey Aaroh, that was such a fun. I'm really looking forward to race again next Monday! :D
I only hope there will be much more entrants...

:gtpflag: VW BEETLE CLUB :gtpflag:

 JOIN IN GUYS!!!

Thanks mate, that was a very close battle! I'm glad that the specs were fine and no changes had to be made. Are you guys fine with the race agenda or some changes should be made? I'm not going with the way its mentioned in the OP as I'm now thinking one track for so many races might get boring.

Coming monday will be the first ever OFFICIAL event of the Beetle Club. I too hope more people join us.

I'm now thinking one track for so many races might get boring.

I realise this is a purely personal opinion Aaroh, but I quite like having a few races at one circuit. I can get into a comfortable rhythm and make fewer mistakes than if we're chopping and changing from track to track. It's the close racing and personality of the car which makes it interesting, not the scenery.

Is the specs maxed at 155 bhp, or maxed at 444pp?

It's both 155bhp max, and 444pp max BB. To get up to both you have to use the mid range turbo instead of the high range. This allows the bhp to come up without pushing the pp past 444.

It had me foxed too, I only picked up on it when I heard someone else mention their turbo.

Cheers, Zo.

Gives you an idea about what the upcoming special event will be:)
I just wondered whether or not the Beetle could be fitted with Dirt and Snow tyres. Now I know.

Great track. Great opponent.

Just give it some time.

My only suggestion would be to have visual damage set to on. I really like seeing those battle scars and scratches as opposed to a perfectly clean and unharmed car after a race.
Set up my beetle last night, feels good, got 155 bhp and 750kg but is only sitting at 437pp?
I have the right BHP and WT but am 1 PP short. Granted I haven't changed the oil though.

Oh, and..

I know you're a fan of the damage and it does look good, but a lot of rooms leave it off because it appears to have an effect on performance.

I believe its because when you damage your car, your system has to not only display it on the car but also transmit the damage information over the network to every other PS3. Then those systems have the task of adding it to your car on their screen when they see it. This of course works both ways. The more damage added on all cars and the more the data has to be constantly updated to be transmitted between all machines and then rendered to be displayed on screen. So there's both a machine and network hit.

That's my take on it anyway. I'm not sure how you'd test out my hypothesis.

I could be wrong - It wouldn't be the first time. :dunce: :)

This was the reason I kept damage off.

Can I add multiple polls?
I was under the impression we can but looking at my thread it seems that is not the case.
I'm not able to delete it, only edit the questions.

It didn't cross my blissfully unaware mind.
now that I'm Premium:cool:
Oh, a "welcome to the club" seems to be in order. Welcome to the club. 👍

It's amazing how many sacrifices we must do. No voice chats, no visual damage, no 'full room quality'.
I've only been DC:ed once or twice but I can understand the frustration among those who get DC:ed day after day.

The trouble is that it seems very random. If there was one thing that you could point to and say that always DC's people so we wont use it. But there isn't so it's a matter of lightening the network load and hoping for the best.
I suppose if you look at it that we are all scattered around the world on the ends of bits of wire/cable, it doesn't do too bad. The problems can be annoying but we maybe expect more than the infrastructure can at times achieve.

And yet, mankind has walked on the moon and sent stuff to Mars.
But adequate racing lobbies is apparently still a no-no.

Getting to the Moon cost America about 10% GDP, I understand Jocke, and the Mars Rover missions have breached one billion dollars. I think the service we get is pretty spectacular value for money, to be honest. Not to say that I would mind paying £50 a year for even better service, fewer DCs perhaps. Maybe, just maybe, fewer DCs would lead to bigger grids. Who knows.

Cheers, Zo.

I agree, that's why I've always left it off too. :)
