Session is open. 1472-6118-4259-7711-7864.

The session has ended, with Snow taking the win in both races. I had fun in the first race, with MSTER applying pressure throughout the entire race. However, I simply could not match Snow's pace.
For the 2nd race, I was way too tired. I couldn't remain focused, and it wasn't long before both MattieM and Snow was out of reach for me.

On another note. Due to failure in adjusting to numerous warnings, MSTER has been banned from future events. He can still participate in small events like Track Days and the like, if he so chooses. I just want to emphasize that breaking the rules is not okay, and will have consequences at some point.

Hopefully, he'll still wish to partake in small events.

Goodnight everyone.

Well done Snow. Can he make it 5 out of 5 tonight. Also what did MSTER do? :embarrassed:

I think its going to be a 5 out of 5 victory for SnowCrash.

The race at Lacuna Seca was not a succes for me. In the first few laps MSTER, Andy and i were close together. A few **** ups on my side and got lost of them, SnowCrash already way out front in the lead. Being in second to last place, i had difficulties to focus and started to make more mistakes. One resulted in a crash and had to pit. It is highly recommended to brake hard if you decide to pit here, i didn't do that at the first time so the auto-pilot slammed into the wall. It took some time before the auto-pilot figured out how to get back in the pit.

The race at Spa went better, i started at 2nd position and had a better start than John who started in first place. I saw my gap on the no. 2 growing at each interval, and i had luck that SnowCrash needed to pit due to damage. Half way in the race i had a gap of 40 seconds on SnowCrash and i thought i definitely would take the win this time. But as the laps passed by, the gap became smaller and still got overtaken by SnowCrash in the last lap. SnowCrash' pace in the Aston is simply amazing, well done mate!

Put it this way; all good things must come to an end. But it's not your fault and you shouldn't worry about it.

Well done Snow for last nights wins you really are quick:bowdown:

My were quite good no crashs, no damage not like Rome:nervous: That pit lane is quite tight, sometimes auto pilot makes it very hard.

There have been quite a few changes to Lacuna Seca, which PD have not included for this game. The were brought in for Moto GP on safety. PD have just copied the track from GT4 thats why it looks bit wash out Andy.

Spa was good to other than start, I was also getting tired towards the end, but when I passed Andy in the pits, putting me up to 3rd. I started to push was able get a gap. But I knew you would catch me sometime soon and you did:)

Sorry about Mster ban hes a good racer.

I won't go into detail, but what I will say, is that this did not come out of the blue. MSTER has been warned several times as a result of failure to show/notify as well as rage quitting. Both are rule breakers. He has recieved two last warnings, and the 2nd race last night was the last straw. And yes, driving into the pits and staying there throughout the race is also rage quitting. Unless of course one had a crisis of some sort that required you elsewhere.

I've enjoyed racing with MSTER, and I don't like to see him go, which is why I hope to at least see him in future small events. But I have to enforce the rules. Otherwise, what's the point in having them?

MSTEr is not the only one under the hammer though. There's two other people who are most likely going to be suspended from future events. They should know who they are, not that I expect them to still be reading the thread, as they've been absent for some time now.

Race lobby for our final race is up. 1472-6118-4216-8214-7078.
This is a long race, so be sure to have water close by, and take a trip to the bathroom before race start.
I'll start the race in 35 minutes.

The rule set is slightly more complicated for this race, so I'll repost the race description here.

"This will be a big one. Expected to last at around 3 hours, the race lobby will be opened at 17.30GMT on September 1st, and the race will start at 18.30GMT. The in-game start time will be 18.40 with 1X time progression, and weather will be enabled. It's possible that we'll see rain, so Racing Intermediates and Rain tires are allowed. However, the surface has to reach 25% before you're allowed to switch to either of the tires. If the surface goes below 25%, you then have to switch back. Participants will also have access to two sets of Sport Medium tires, along with an unlimited amount of Sport Hard tires.

Damage will be enabled, so careful driving is of the utmost importance here. It is up to each driver when he wants to make use of his two sets of SM tires. Do NOT use more than two sets of SM tires (A set equals 4 tires).

As always, you aren't allowed to cut the track in any way. If you go off track, it is extremely important that you make sure you don't re-enter in front of others. This is a long track to drive on while damaged.

On top of all this. If you've had a less than amazing scoring so far in the events, this event gives double points.
"

Hope that's not me :scared: but I wish MSTER luck in future races he attend elsewhere and I hope I race against him again some point.

I did intend to try and join yesterday but my GT5 wouldn't do the full load up because it just has to be connected to the internet 100% 24/7, please change that PD for GT6, and then when I signed out to try signing in and back on I couldn't get back on. :(

My internet's been worse today so I'm not even going to try :(

So what's the chances of you upgrading your net in the near future? btw, do you run by a cord, or wireless? Wired internet is much more stable.

It depends, I still live at home with my parents due to being at college for 2 extra years after compulsory schooling and I am yet to find a job, therefore I can't pay for the internet so I only get the free one with Sky + HD. If I found a job then I'd pay and switch. Along with getting a provisional driving license it would be one of the first things I can do.

Edit: I think the main problem is that it keeps cutting out on me. The speed has always been that low but I can't have high demand on it for more than 10-15 minutes without it having a hissy fit and cutting me off.

Sadly, our last race had to end earlier than intended. It was actually really fun, dispite only being 3 racers. We were continuesly catching up to one another. But on our 8th lap, Snow turned invisible, and could no longer see us. He had to leave to the lobby, and the rest of us followed as we had lost focus. A key element on the Ring, as night was falling.

The overall race results are as follows.

Overall Race results:
1st. GTP_SnowCrash - Aston Martin DB9 - 1st. 1st. 1st. 1st - 60 points
2nd. MattieM - Jaguar XKR - 2nd. 3rd. 4th. 2nd - 46 points
3rd. Andy-Macnab - Aston Martin DB9 - 4th. 2nd. 2nd. 3rd - 46 points
4th. Johnwells69 - Aston Martin DB9 - 5th. 4th. 5th. 4th - 32 points
5th. MSTER232 - Aston Martin DB9 - 3rd. DQ. 3rd. DQ - 22 points

I'm evaluating whether or not I'm going to keep hosting these events, as the interest and number of no shows, has seemed to remain at a steady number since I started doing this last year. I do, however, have plenty of ideas for more VS races, so it would almost be a shame to not see them through. The next race is likely to feature modern American Muscle cars on American tracks. Perhaps I'll even pick more than just 2 cars for the event.

Hopefully I can get the internet sorted out and attend again soon. I'll be more than willing to participate providing a suitable internet connection is available :)

I like the sound of American Muscle Cars, Chevrolet Camaro SS

It is really a shame that yesterdays race had to end early. For a race with only 3 participants it was actually a great race so far. In the 8 laps we raced, i crashed once :( and spun once too, miraculously avoiding the barriers. I really wanted to finish this race because i never did such a long race on this track, it would be a great achievement for me.

Congratulations to SnowCrash for winning this event, his pace in the Aston was simply amazing.

Seem you all had a good race, even though there was only 3. Racing the Ring in the dark and wet. Would have cause lots of problems, for me, would have driven round slowly:nervous:

I know there are rules people should follow them, after all you put lots of time to try and do it Andy. Have raced against Mster in a couple of race clubs on here.

M8 I think thats your problem that your using Skys basic internet package, try to up grade to Sky anytime, I have not had any problems like your having. Mine is wired to my computer, PS3 is up stairs and its wireless. The only problems I get is more severside which gets me disconnected. I only really play 3 games but I get good use out of it:)

What about using Dodge Charger as well Andy or Corvette or standard Muscles:idea:

Where were you yesterday John?

About the Muscle cars. I'm looking into the Dodge Viper's, the Corvette's and the Camaro. The Charger is also a possibility.

Sorry Andy I said last week I was going to a party and couldn't attend, was no way out of it, had the invite a few months before race.:nervous:

Ahh okay. Must've forgot. I'll take your word for it, as I really don't have any reason to not believe you. :)

Now that sounds appealing. Also I think my internet is ok now, same speed obviously :( but it doesn't cut me off all the time :D

It is quite here, i hope Andy didn't die at the military training exercises :).

I'm still here. I'm sorry about the lack of updates, but I just don't have the time to update the thread... We have a 60 hour field excercise next week, and most of our days end at 17-18.00. :scared: :(

I hope to update the thread with the new race info this weekend. I'm looking so much forward to being done with the Army.

Like john said, don't be sorry mate. What do you mean with being done with the army? the training only or the whole duty at the army?

The whole thing. Once these 4 months are done, I'm out.

I'm sorry guys, but it doesn't look like the thread will be updated today either. Metal Gear Solid 4 has gotten its hooks in me again. :guilty:
Trying to get as many trophies and emblems as I can in the game. :)

I promise to update the thread next weekend. Perhaps I'll even host a track day on saturday or sunday if any of you are interested.

I can't join upcoming weekend if an track day will be held. See you another time i hope.

Mattie

I've just finished 3 and a half hours of testing and photo shooting, and I'll update the thread tomorrow with all the new race info.

This VS event will feature 3 cars, on 3 different track. All American.

 this is like a teaser :dopey:

I like American Muscle cars so this sounds quite delightful. :D

And the thread OP has FINALLY been updated. Sorry for the long wait guys.
The annoying thing is, I actually have numerous ideas floating in my head for more VS races that I'd really like to do right now. :D

We definately need another Ferrari VS Lamborghini race. Perhaps the Aventador VS the Enzo? Mitsubishi VS Subaru is also a must. And I wonder if the Corvette 60 and Transcammer would make for good races? Gah!
