Wallbanger's 2nd Annual FF Summer Shootout

Edited the Test Driver listing in second post and added links to their Test Results.👍👍

SO I need to do some hardcore tuning Saturday to make it in on time. :nervous: I've been so wrapped up on Motegi I haven't even looked at my car in a long while.

Thanks to Harvey and ACSR I have an A2 that I will be entering, hopefully. Currently I have it doing mid 47s on LS with CS tires. Once I get it to turn it should run well faster. :embarrassed: I think I may have even figured out the transmission. :D Again, hoping to have that up by Saturday night. I will go through and made sure all the group B testers are on my PSN list tonight.

Started testing group B class 1 today.

I need friend requests from
C-ZETA//V16T91
NEWDRIVER2//OTS_NEWDRIVER2ted

Also need Jack to add some dirt tires to his CRX:crazy:

EDIT: Glad you liked the Kusabi Niku 👍👍

Still in the 1:45' at laguna seca........NOT HAPPY!!! :grumpy:

EDIT: 405pp class A
Well 1:45 at Laguna Seca is either a very good time or a bit slow depending on your car choice and tune since I know your still a faster driver than me despite having spent so much time the past few months not turning.:lol:

Sign me up to test class A group 2 please. (I already have them all as friends :dopey: )

Maybe more, but that is all for now.

Done:tup:👍

Starting to think its the driver and not the car as seemingly regardless of what I try I'm still stuck in the low 1:43s at Laguna Seca been up on my best lap by nearly a second through the corkscrew only to mess up on the last 3 turns.:banghead:
Going to try a couple more tweaks then call it good I guess. Don't seem to be fighting the car as much now so do think the tune is better even if the times aren't.

Once, a fluke. Twice, especially with that epic bit of driving from both of you on the last lap, there's definitely something in ya, I'd say. :P

It was fun, and I still maintain that my driving is poor at best (nice looking TVR though huh?)

Thanks.

In all the shootouts I've entered I think I may have "overtuned" the car to find the perfect mix of speed and ease. The last one was two tunes I had tuned for me amd my enjoyment, and one was almost the fastest and the other got some love from the testers. Sometimes keeping it simple might work... but what do I know, I'm Clueless :dopey:...<<<<see what I did there?:P

Well my Honda CR-Z '10, "Katana" is ready for battle and ready with a razor edge to carve some Rainbow Chickens of the Clueless variety.

On share now.👍👍

Just broke in a potential class A car in the bspec Laguna enduro. Only 47 minutes down on the leading corvette. I think my BOB hates me though. :D

Oh I went with the leader of the pack, but I know that he is pretty darn busy managing this event. I think I would give him mad respect! He helped me that was really nice!

Found a new overall fastest in Class A for my testing, just. Thing is, it wasn't the fastest I tested on either of the tracks! It was slower on track at Laguna but a whole lot better on dirt and that's what got it the top overall. Yet it was still just barely slower than my best on dirt

I reckon I could have done better with it on Laguna as well. I probably could have found another 4-5 tenths out of it but I took it too slow on my last test lap. But regardless, at least it looks more well-rounded than anything else yet.

This is fun, and very entertaining 👍.

Outlaws, you putting up the G4 trophy as well? :sly::dopey:
Of course the "Holy Handgrenade" is on the line, this is a legitimate challenge after all.

Any and all.
Great! Will add you to the list in a few minutes.
By the way which PSN account will you use for testing?

Also I've started to send participation bonuses to people, if you've entered as tuner in both classes I'm sending you 10 random gear and 5 random paints if you also sign on as a tester I'm sending 5 random horns. If your only signed up as a tuner for one class and not testing send me a PM telling me which you want, gears, paint or horns. If your only test driving but doing groups in both classes you'll get 10 random gears and 5 random paints. If only test driving one class PM me and let me know what you want. Test Drivers also need to send me PMs with what premium car/s they want. Remember test drivers you get up to Cr100,000 for each group tested. That can be combined for more expensive cars or used for several cheaper cars. (maximum one car per group tested)
Also currently starting to send out a surprise bonus for those who participated in last years 1st annual FF Summer Shootout. Will post a picture of that later as well.
It's not tuned but does have all the upgrades on it!:D

GTP_Ronald is my only active account. I no longer use Ronald657 since I got my wheel.

I just borrowed your CRZ and am hitting Toscana now.

I'm unfamiliar with Toscana and don't 'appreciate' Seca much. Don't expect any record times from me. But it should be fun nevertheless.

Edit:
Harvey, what time are you running with your CRZ on Toscana?

Lol, I really need yo put some time in on this track then. After 4 laps i got 2:04.453.

Yeah! My family has left the building. I think its been over a year since I had the house to myself on Saturday. My a$$ isn't leaving this seat till they pry my hands from the wheel.

My DFGT doesn't like the gravel, but at least its not trying to break my thumbs like my Subby did.

Added you to the list of test drivers and don't worry you'll get plenty of practice on both tracks.:lol:

I've seen you drive on gravel irl, I'm just going to assume you can do it in the game too.

Got a 2:01.218 after two more laps and have plenty of room for improvement. I just have to keep reminding myself "It's a FF, it's a FF."

Edit:
I'm usually not one to swear but, "Rotate Mother*&!, rotate!"

Ease into the brakes a little early, release brakes as your turning in, then get back on the power as the car swings around and let the front pull you through. Remember these are tail draggers so as long as the front wheels are pointed where you want to go the rest will follow.
