Wallbanger's "Tons of Fun"(Final Round Underway)

Got your whale uploaded now. đź‘Ť

TUNERS! Please check here and be sure the photo I have is the right one. Once the polls go up I will have limited access to be able to edit the choices so let me know before tomorrow if I have the wrong photo of your car.

And the photos are being voted for based on the car's appearance itself and not the quality of the photo, correct?
Just wondering if the photomode junkies have the self control to not pick some of those really nice photos over what's clearly the prettiest car. :P

Â…Â…which, of course, isn't your Viper. :D The prettiest cars here are the Maseratis (Praiano's seems better, less carbon fibery bits = better), the cars with the most presence are the SL65s, Tris' one being more serious looking with no wingÂ…Then, of course, is my killer Blue, though it sort of looks like an elongated CLK55 in the picturesÂ…

That's close to a full list of what I find the ugliest cars.
I do like the Maserati's though.

The best pictures, however - Ferrari California, BMW M3, Audi R8, Praiano's Maserati, GTR, and then either mine or sheephead's Merc.
I've been posting in the GT5 forum again, do I need to state what is or isn't opinion in here or are we smart enough to figure these things out without tears? :P Just a cheap shot at the GT5 forum.

Oi, I find the SLs to be just fine, thank you very much. At least they are proper GT cars, unlike your Viper, which is more a track weapon, to be honest.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Onboy. One of the reasons I chose the '04 is that that was the last year before Mercedes turned them into cockroaches.

(just my opinion.......:sly:)

You're all wrong. Like the guy who submitted it, the Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag is the only one here with any real class ... best photo by a country mile too ...

YeaÂ…the '04 SLs looked betterÂ…I wish we could have the Brabus SL thoughÂ…800hp of mentality.

NahÂ…yours is too green. GT cars are supposed to burn the planet while croozin' along the coast, then shred some tyres when it gets there. :D

How anyone thinks they stand a chance with "Isabella's" perfect combination of sexy curves, attention grabbing paint job and aggressive stance I don't know.

Not to mention that super stud Harvey Wallbanger making his appearance in the photo should get every female vote out there!:gtpflag:

Just a couple things so far. nomis3613 where do I send a FR to test your car? Tris_73 you don't have your car on share. Thanks đź‘Ť

Not a dream since no one saw fit to enter a Tank Car, Land Rover or 8C.

They were the only ones that could have given "Isabella" and the Wallbanger real competition!

You wish. The Veyrons will do a burnout on your Challenger. :D

Sorry moparisgod. Could have sworn it was on share. I'll check as soon as I'm out of this online room.

The Veyron looks like a bloated Beetle, where as the Challenger is so sexy it should be band from the photo competition to be fair. :D

But at least the Veyron has some credentials under its belt, whereas the Challenger is, effectively, a V8 powered brick. And I don't actually like its looksÂ…I prefer the swoops of an Italian car over simplistic straight linesÂ…though it does fit the Challenger in that respect. Good in a straight line, not too fond of bends. :D

Meanwhile I have a matt black German monster, with carbon fibre bits, and a serious hate of rear tyres :D you cannot deny it has style, sideways on the first corner at the Nordschleife one early morning :sly:

HmmÂ…?? SoÂ…does that mean it has style or it hasn't?

And Nomis' PSN is uebersteuern, for those of you who need to know.

I was halfway through editing that! :dopey: I blame this train...and of course it has style, just not a style anyone else will like ;)

Style like the Grim Reaper, yes! :sly:

I should have time to test another group. You can throw me on group A or B, either one is fine. If you want me to pick then group A just because it has one more car.

Added you for Group A.đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

I'm starting to regret my colour choice for my photo entry. Already had someone outside the contest ask if it was gold chrome ....:yuck:

For the record it's not chrome, it's some other gold like Sage or Riverside Gold Metallic or something like that (I'll look it up later), it just turned out the at certain angles it takes on a real shine and I thought it reflected the curbing a bit in that photo.

This is where I will be posting my reviews.
DS3 driver, with a very heavy thumb :D
10 laps on each track

I'm testing group C
TIMES final

London

tris_73 - Mercedes Benz, SL 65 AMG (R230) '04 - 0:55.622
Nice easy ride. feels good here.

ACSR421 - Lamborghini Murcialago LP670-4 SV '09 "Bodacious" - 0:52.880
Speed of this car on city streets is scary, yet easy to handle. Doesn't get too upset over curbs. Only develops a slight understear at the tight esses before the start/finish

krenkme - Nissan GT-R SpecV '09 - 0:52.380
I'm sure this car is trying to kill me :scared:. On the edge every lap, but VERY fast. I need a drink.

Motor City Hami - Maserati GranTurismo S '08 - 0:56.483
Very easy car to drive. No real overstear, unless the driver is an idiot. Great brakes. Handles the curbs well. Feels really good driving around the streets of London

Shmogt - Bugatti Veyron 16.4 2009 Car shared by XDesperado67 - 0:55.876
Wow!! Too much power to control on these city steets. Out of the 10 laps I dove only 3 were "green". Not a fun car to drive here.

nomis3613 - SL 65 AMG '04 - 0:55.014
Good car to take to the streets. Over curbs, and low speed corners very good.

Monza

tris_73 - Mercedes Benz, SL 65 AMG (R230) '04 - 1:44.786
Not as fast as I would have thought. Still a good drive, but I felt like there was more "driving" to be had.

ACSR421 - Lamborghini Murcialago LP670-4 SV '09 "Bodacious" - 1:39.505
Very fast car for a very fast track. Gearing is good, and so are the brakes.

krenkme - Nissan GT-R SpecV '09 - 1:37.565
My God it this thing fast! Very stable, and easy to drive. Good brakes as well.

Motor City Hami - Maserati GranTurismo S '08 - 1:44.980
Grip, Grip, Grip đź‘Ť. Very smooth ride with not alot of stress. Great brakes and great feel.

Shmogt - Bugatti Veyron 16.4 2009 Car shared by XDesperado67 - 1:36.889
Now this feels like home for this car. Still hard to turn, but the speed will make up for it.

nomis3613 - SL 65 AMG '04- 1:43.896
I like the ride. Very relaxing, just wish it was faster.

Final Notes
tris_73 - Mercedes Benz, SL 65 AMG (R230) '04 - I like this car. Easy to drive, and a great setup, just not fast enough to keep up with the big boys on speed.
ACSR421 - Lamborghini Murcialago LP670-4 SV '09 "Bodacious" - I'm not a Lambo fan, but this car did all it could to change my mind, and I might make one excaption. Fast, great handling. Great car.
krenkme - Nissan GT-R SpecV '09 - Fast. A little on the loose side, which I like, but could be a little more calm. Fast!
Motor City Hami - Maserati GranTurismo S '08 - Great looking car and a good driving one as well. Felt heavy, because it is. Good car.
Shmogt - Bugatti Veyron 16.4 2009 Car shared by XDesperado67 - I'm sorry but this car was no fun to drive. Very fast, which I love, but no handling. I could not get consistant laps in at London, and at Monza, I had to slow down to craw speed just to make the corners. I love the speed, and it is a tune that is one million times better then most, but I could not enjoy it.
nomis3613 - SL 65 AMG '04 - Grip is good, very smooth. Felt like a true GT car.

Drivers Choice
