Well the rain's not letting up here in MI, so I'll take up any challenging rivals in a rain-race at SSR7 until 8-ish EST
Let's get this season going!

EDIT*
Rival 1: Kurei (mcluvin93hatch)(600pp) Toyota SUPRA RZ '97
Rival 2: sporkface69 (SPORKFACE69)(600pp) Chevrolet CORVETTE ZR1 '09

Winner: sporkface69 (SPORKFACE69)
2nd place: Kurei (mcluvin93hatch)
Rating: 4/5
After some practice and other things, me and spork agreed to run in dry conditions instead of wet, started great, kept close enough to hear that supercharged V8 until we broke 160+, a ZR1 wasn't what I wanted to face right out of the gate, but sometimes you gotta 'Climb the biggest hill first', and managed to stick with him maintaining my lines and speed through some of the tighter curves, we got a little skittish in some of the S-curves but managed not to kill each other out-right, entering the 1st or 2nd tunnel (whichever is uphill) I managed show some fangs I didn't think I had, spork had draft-passed me and tapered out at 235~mph towards the tunnel end, and not straight-line drafting (which spork can confirm) I ended up pulling on him by a few mph and re-passed him as we left the tunnel heading to the 2nd S-curve, but he would re-pass me again through the final right-hander leading to the start/finish.
(afterwords he mentioned he had not tuned the gears yet, could be why my 2JZ pulled slightly on a LS9)
On the second lap, he continued to lead while I stuck to his speed, coming back out onto the highway from the first corner, I eventually passed by him clean from draft before the 1st S-curve, which would be my un-doing, entering into it under the highway-sign banner, I saw my brake-marker and smashed the brakes, slowed down and saw him still close by, and in my own over-eagerness to build distance, I entered the second bend 10-11mph over, overloading the tires, felt the front give followed by the rear, once the Supra's a$s was sliding out, even though I tried to save it (and probably gave spork quite a scare in the process with the speed loss) it was game over, the left-rear smacked the wall, and my steering-angle at the time caused the front to follow-suit quite violently, after those 2 contacts I went into a spin that there was no recovery from, and just held on until it stopped.
Spork found a gap in that chaos and passed-through un-harmed I believe, and left me, I tried to limp-on but busted suspension in 3 of 4 corners left me messed up pretty bad, and that was it, not long after the auto-timer started/finished the first race of my season.
I was the only one to experience it first-hand, and I'm just using a DFGT, but that crash was pretty eye opening. Adrenaline, GT being a simulator, w/e, it showed me all the pre-season testing and prep still can't get me ready for actual race conditions, lesson learned and hopefully next race I'll be able to post better results 👍
