For the WMMT side, there will be an OCM that will start from May 5 to 6. The opponent car is an Evo 6.

For players of Initial D 8, a similar OCM-ish event will also take place, in Irohazaka. But the cars are restricted to the ones that also appear in WMMT.




Both games offer custom nameplates as rewards.

New WMMT5 JP update coming soon, details:

1. Dress-Up level bar returns, instead of unlocking one part, it will be used to upgrade your Maxi Shop grade to unlock more content in the Maxi Shop. Maxi G currency stays, and is first awarded before the dress-up bar is displayed.

2. Each Maxi Shop upgrade will award you 1 free gift part you can redeem.
(Note: No.1&2 will change the Maxi Shop unlocking conditions.)

4. New "Custom GT Wing" feature in Maxi Shop, you can now customise your own spoiler and change the height, width, pillar position, and colour.

6. "Friend's List" option in the Ghost Battle menu will be removed, no explanation given.

7. "Japan Challenge" option is rearranged to appear as the last option on the right. The first option is now "Select by Level", then "Get Revenge", then "Search for Ghost", and now "Japan Challenge".

But the Japanese version has way more new features, especially when it comes to JDMs. The recent additions were the Subaru Levorg and the Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech Version. There is already a video of them here in this thread, a 4-way brawl consisting of station wagons.


The Japanese version also has BMW and Mercedes cars.

BMW: M3 (E92) and Z4 sDrive35is

Mercedes-Benz: SLK 350 BlueEfficiency


Both versions also have RUFs, but the only difference is that the Japanese version has the RT-35 which the International version doesn't. But the good news is, Tatsuya Shima drives a RUF CTR as the Blackbird in both versions.

Just my trip in Japan last year:

It was quite an enjoyable cruise along the Wangan (since we came from Disney Sea along with some family members), until we entered the New Belt Line...

Only the Subaru R2 can squeeze through effortlessly.

Thankfully, traffic got cleared by the moment we entered C1 Inner. This is the Kasumigaseki tunnel.

Once I find someone to trade discarded car cards with I'm gonna get myself a Corolla sedan and possibly a R2/Pajero Evo to complete my troll collection.

My Hiace is up to 740hp/D at the moment. Still a while to go yet.
