the yen rate today is 107 yen to the dollar


cars in okinawa are cheap as dirt, a 93 rx7 no frills will go for 3000 american
a r32 (not gts-t, gts, gts-t-25) goes for 2400 american. and anything before 1990 will sell for like 300 bucks ANYTHING.

I wonder how hard it would be to legalize an imported FD rx7. Essentially, it's the same car that they sold in America (except with the steering wheel on the other side and probably a few other minor differences).

I'd have to convert it over to LHD though. There's no way I'd drive a RHD car here....unless it was a Skyline or an S15. It'd be way too much of a hassle.

Seeing as how I'm closer to Japan where I live. Wonder how much it would cost? I know someone who can ship 'em disassembled. Not sure if he'd go for it though.
