It even says 1/4 Mile in this photo.

Where did you get this? The main photo circulating around is in meters...

Edit: Never mind, just copied the site address and found it myself.

Better have online play. Even if it doesn't I will tune here and then race at Indy. More than likely it will have a tree though. But yes were did you get that photo, the one I saw was in meters. 400, and 402 is that actual 1/4 mile according to the NHRA.

Doubt it, Nissan is King on GT or should I say GTR haha. Depends on the tune....

It will be 920hp with all parts and break in and weigh more than SV, WATCH.

stock aventador weights 1575kg SV 1664kg. it will weigh less.

You mean, more than likely it will NOT have a tree, right?

And fyi a 1/4 mile is exactly 402.336 meters.

Yes I said 402, whats's .336 going to make any bit of difference when you are going 200mph. No, I meant what I said. I'm sure there will be a tree for 1/4 mile runs.

I'm sure no car in GT5 will trap 200 mph in the 1/4 lol except the X1

Maybe so but how are we going to know when to go to time the 400M and 1000M, a 321 countdown? From what it looks like, it's 2 lane.

I got the image from this website. :)

What!? :dunce:

Of course it will be a "3, 2, 1, Go!" countdown. That's what we've always had.

It's easily a 3 lane track not including the shoulders. Also it could start the timer once you start to move from the start..

Does anyone else feel like this might turn out to be a version of forza? Or is it just me.....

Theres possibly going to be a tree. Forza has a tree and we know how useful that thing is...
On another note 3,2,1 go...I hope not. Forza done it like this and in the heart of racing where reaction time means ALOT here....they made it obsolete with the countdown. It was more along the lines of hold the gas down until the computer let you go.

I see 3 options
One. The tree doesn't work and they use a countdown system
Two. The tree lights up but still use a countdown system
Or in distant third. They don't use a countdown system and go by an actual staging and lights but that seems like alot of checkpoints to make a tree work like that
Just my 2 cents

A workable tree would be EXTREMELY difficult to implement, as would be support for multiple car races.

I'm happy enough just to have a consistent timing method... Having a way to test max lateral Gs is nice too.

Can't wait to race on this track.

What I'm even more excited about is the Lamborghini Aventador. 3472lbs and AWD. That's close to 500lbs lighter than the 2012 GTR. The car will do 1/4th mile in 10.5 seconds in stock form. I really hope this car will give the GTRs a run for their money in GT5.

Why is that?

I think it would be EXTREMELY easy to implement for a developer such as PD. It's not gonna happen 'til they include a real drag strip though.

Why all the fuss about the tree? We still have the 321 with false start check...
Yeah, but I doubt we'll be able to use that. We will probably not be able to race the 1/4 mile online, and if we two cars race the oval they will probably not be standing beside each other, but rather one in front of the other.
