We need a mountain pass track

I dont know what your talking about that was the best drifting track evar. it taught me how to drift. i think it would be a great addition to the game and you could have up and down hill races

Thank you i dont know why every one hates mountain passes

That's because people hate what's good for them. As soon as you start talking about touge, they rain down on you like angry hornets as if you just hit their soft spot lol. Its mostly euros and americanos that hate "toe gay" because they don't really know what it is and think they're the top #1 **** just cuz they can run a decent time on a circuit. Words can't express the arrogance and ignorance of those people, especially when they add on "DRIFTING SHOULDNT EVEN BY CONSIDERED A MOTORSPORT". Most of them seem to take it personal because they cant drift, so they decide to smack talk about it instead.
That's all im gonna say before my boiling blood pressure of rage kills me.

fixed that for you.
when you enter the link all you need to enter is the letters/numbers after the( = ) like so KFPI8htS2sk

i AGREE. Fujimi Kaido in Forza 3 was an excellent addition. even for just racing/time-attack it took a lot of skill to keep a good driving line and speed. As for drifting, ohh man it was awesome. It takes a skilled driver to get up/down fast and loads of fun keeping the car sideways and connecting corners. COMMON PD, we need a mountain/touge course!!!! :)👍

That was their major selling point for that installment. You can imagine how much it affected all those "import tuner" lovers who are obsessed with everything Japanese. I mean damn, they dont have to add a million touge courses, atleast a few good ones would do the magic.

If it was anything like Kaido...Mt. Haruna would of possibly been PD's choice. You can rally in the snow and it is big enough for a challenge race. American's say toe-gay because Touge is literally translated into "pass" and its part of the JDM market; to my belief.... Though it is commonly referred to a mountain pass.

To the people who hate on mountain passes, have you ever driven on one? Its rare for a track to have all those different turns and elevation changes. Fujimi Kaido was kinda wide but it was fun trying to connect all those corners

Dude, calm down. Yes, there are people who think that drifting isn't a motorsport, but if you think that those people are just confined to America and Europe then you're the ignorant one.

Like Biggy once said, can't we just all get along? I respect someone who can drive fast round a track just as much as I respect someone who can drift it. Each disipline takes a lot of skill, some similar, some different, both difficult to master.

And just for the record, if I were an important figure in motorsport and came across a 'drifter' with veiws such as yours, too right I wouldn't want to be associated.

As for the topic being discussed, I'd love a mountain pass :)

Majority comes from those two. Undeniable fact. You're the ignorant one for not realizing that.

Because that's just the way it is, not just motorsports but also everything else in life.

I'm not sure if you're just trying to argue or being sincere.. but I'm on the defensive side for drifters. Never the less, you've had no experience in being attacked by a mob of grip-racers condescending your passion so I don't expect you to have an ounce of understanding. Maybe you just took the whole statement very personally because you were one of them :)

Maybe that's because most of the drift media, apart from Japan, comes from those two areas, so it's more widely documented that there is this tension. You only have to take an average of the population here and I'm pretty sure it'd be the same ratios anywhere in the world. Humans are all pretty similar.

Because that's just the way it is, not just motorsports but also everything else in life.

Only because people make it that way. The other big dispute I can think of is skiers and snowboarders, but now a lot of people from both sides are changing this for the positive.

Okay, that's your veiw. But why get defensive? Drifting should be something you do to please yourself, not to please others (In general, not competions, but that's different) What does it matter if others think that what you're doing isn't a proper motorsport? And after a certain period of time, people will start to see that it is good fun and it does take a lot of skill and they'll start to warm to it. This happens with everything, like snowboarding and BMX'ing. It just takes time for 'new' concepts to get accepted. Getting all defensive and judgemental won't help anything though.

And no, strangely I'm not a grip-racer intent on bringing down the evil that is drifting.

erm...drifting is actually pretty popular in the states now, dunno where you're getting your info from... granted most people are still rocking 240s and old rx-7s but hey we're playing catch up with the sport atm

Drift to drift man, who cares what people think :) I like drifting just as much as time attacking, different skill set and different approach. Every type of driving is fun in its own way.

A mountain pass would be pretty cool honestly. As much as I love Iroha, I'm not sure it'd be a great choice if it were going to be the ONLY one, it really doesn't have much variety to it. Rokko and Akagi would both be good candidates. Haruna is the super obvious choice, so I'm not going to go with that one :P

I love the Akagi downhill, there's an amazing set of corners near the bottom with ridiculous rhythm, so much fun.

I thought this exact same thing lastnite. I used the course creator to build a beautiful mountain pass like track and was going to make a vid of it ask others to join me. Alas while testing the track my poor 80gig first gen ps3 crocked and bit the dust.... sad times. should have a new one soon enough.

we also need a skid pad like in Enthusia and Forza. Enthusia also had a touge track it was pretty good. I still think physics in Enthusia are better than GT.

I personally find that if i'm on a mountain track on a tight winding road with someone, I end up wanting to seriously race instead of drift around...much like nurburgring...maybe its because I cant drift tight roads properly haha...and also, on a free roam, what happens at the end of the mountain track? o_O

A copy and paste of Initial D experience would do it for me. Add Akina and I would be in love. Also a little freestyle course like the docks from GRID!

irohazaka.jpg

Imagine drifting through all those hairpins lol...

personaly i would love to have a track like that concidering i like the realism in street drifting other than closed track drifting. if you watch some of the osaka drifting you can get a kind of a understanding on why some people would want a down/up (touge) track. You will also have those people who would do touge and bring a whole other driving community to the gt5 era.

On a slightly off topic note, I just got my girlfriend hooked on ID. She just sat at my house for the past week watching 1s-3rd stage. 4th hasn't gotten her too excited though.

A mountain pass would be cool and, I think, possible as they have point to point races in the Rally challenges in special events.

I think with Course Maker, you can make something like Iro or a mountain pass.

If there was more customizing - but there isn't. You just let the random tracks pop up and that's it.
