We need a mountain pass track

A great way to add a mountain pass in GT5 is to put some environments in the course maker and let us have a ball. It shouldn't necessarily be just one track, but if we could create our own and share them, it would create an awesome experience

A copy and paste of Initial D experience would do it for me. Add Akina and I would be in love. Also a little freestyle course like the docks from GRID!

A free roam course from GRID would be amazing. But GT5 isn't as drifting focused as GRID is

If we were to get mountain tracks i think we should get Initial D mountains. I remember playing Tokyo extreme racer drift 2 and they had all the beast mountains in that game. But like DoriPanda ideas.

I don't know what the US would have against drifting when so many of it's inhabitants are obsessed with some of the most dull and dreary sports ever created.

Please don't be ignorant about that,we already discuss that. If you want to get down to the grit. Drifting just boomed in 2000-ish and it is still rising. From what I hear(in California), if you get caught street racing or some form of it. They crush your car in front of you and you still have to pay the fines.

Whats the chances of Actually getting a Touge this wouldve had to of been the biggest let down of gt 5.
GT5 has the most realistic physics but cannot keep up with the times i still feel like im playing the exact same game i was 10 years ago same tracks like cmon PD u cant even put rims on standard cars its just stupid i couldnt give a darn about taking pictures in pretty places they have wasted alot of time and effort on this Game in places that dont matter just feels like gt4 but in hd Sorry about the rant but not having a touge really upsets me

My thoughts on this subject are that PD should expand the course maker so we can make our own unique course and then let us be able to share files such as the file share on halo....also i would like a premium S14... thats all :)

Erm, coz the game is simply Gran Turismo 4, but newer? More cars, better graphics, physics and all- it's still Gran Turismo, not Killzone or any shooter- what do you expect from a driving simulator- that they gonna throw zombies in the track?

If you don't see the spirit of GT, maybe it just isn't the game for you?

Remember that for each track they need RIGHTS to use it in-game. And theese cost, and it's never 100% that you will get them! Maybe Japanese goverments don't want any of their road tracks to be associated with drifting, which is as far as I know illegal in Japan?

How about actually saying "Thanks PD! We have quite many tracks to drift on, we have tons of cars which we can use, tune to our likes, we have drift mode which lets us test our skills and we have online to compete and tandem with other drifters"?

As for the Photo mode you seem to be rabbling about - maybe you don't like it, but heck, this game was sold in MILIONS. Not one copy which you bought.

Just a friendly reminder,

You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

Japan rants about freedom of speech and expression as much as the US. Digital entertainment is no exception. It's extremely offensive and beyond the borders of our imagination to release a touge pass? Yet its okay to release yakuza series & grand theft auto where you commit larceny, homicide, arson, terrorism, conspiracy, espionage, street racing, prostitution, extortion, and many other misdemeanors & felonies... Don't think so, Timmy. If Japanese government truly didn't want it that way then you can take a knock on many other games like wangan maximum tune, initial d, battle kaido, and any other obscure street racing games from japan.

What PD really needs to do is step it up a notch. Buying their game for $60~$100, an unfinished product at that, is big enough of an "appreciation".

If you feel the hippie spirit and feel lovey dovey about this world, by all means go ahead. Also, there's a thread for that at main GT5 board - you should go there instead of trying to embarrass yourself here.

i'm trully sad when i think about enthusia's dragon range or more recently fujimi kaido...those where so fun to grip, drift or whatever...just virtual motorsport fun !!

PD could "just" let us have an option in the track creator to choose elevation and A to B roads like in Vrally 2 did back then...

Where did you get Zombies from dude i know exactly what im playing you obviously dont know what the difference between drifting on a circuit track compared to a mountain road is otherwise you would share the views and the points this thread is trying to make. As for licene rights to roads why are japanese games still making exact replicas of these roads and it dos'nt have to be one of these roads whats wrong with making a new road like dragon range in enthusia and mt fujimi kaido in forza 3. GT5 might have sold millions but not everbody is as wrapped in it as you might be. If you cant understand the point people are trying to make on this thread then dont bother posting in it. I do appreciate the work PD has done but sorry for being a driving simulator enthusiast and expressing my feelings for what i like about driving.

Fujimi was boring as watching paint dry.

So true, I mean seriously that track sucked big time!
When T10 announced they will be putting a touge I was like "wow cool, can't wait to paly the game"::
Then the game came out and I saw that POS track that is nowhere near what a Touge really is! I mean come on, track is as wide as an Highway on some parts, and elevation changes are totally fkd up!
Even the scenery is unrealistic! If you want a real touge exemple take the Kaido battle games or Enthusia on PS2 but that Fujimi kaido is just a big joke!

As for having a real touge in GT5, I'm all for it (or atleast the Gunsai touge if there is law issues with street drifting being illegal)

Is it just me but when i try to create an great touge course all my hairpins and good corners end up on the top of a hill and they are blind so you can barely see the entry into them i know how the topographic map works but i cant seem to get this builder to land the good stuff in the right positions im using mt asio if any knows how to set up a good track let me know please.

LMFAO hows that dude wearing racing gloves just another thing i have come to notice why cant pd give us proper turbo sounds the only time you can hear the turbo in gt5 is on the bonnet view and its so cheesey its not funny. I want to hear the turbo spool up and come out an external waste gate like a real modified car would have and half the tuned cars in the game would have.

I know its not exactly what were looking for but i just ran the nurburgring nordschlief in pitch black darkness and it was awesome i was using a 400hp rx7 with comfort hard tyres and it is extremely challanging braking is crucial as you cant see very far in front of you but i feel this is gpoing to be the closest thing we are going to get have a try and let me know i would love to race someone in this way.
