We need a mountain pass track

@doripanda: those are good looking Rfactor tracks !!

i don't see PD creating a new dragon range but imo, it doesn't seem "too hard" to put a new map and a few options in the track editor, hope this will come one day :nervous:

That's because people hate what's good for them. As soon as you start talking about touge, they rain down on you like angry hornets as if you just hit their soft spot lol. Its mostly euros and americanos that hate "toe gay" because they don't really know what it is and think they're the top #1 **** just cuz they can run a decent time on a circuit. Words can't express the arrogance and ignorance of those people, especially when they add on "DRIFTING SHOULDNT EVEN BY CONSIDERED A MOTORSPORT". Most of them seem to take it personal because they cant drift, so they decide to smack talk about it instead.
That's all im gonna say before my boiling blood pressure of rage kills me.

hey dude i know how you feel. most of the guys at my school think all drifting is is the gymkhana vids. they don't know what it's all about. In fact one of the idiots at my school actually said that it's really easy to drift a FF car. GT5 needs a mountain pass track!!!

Okay, so for those who threw a bucket of crap at me:

The post I refered to (as in "@up") got deleted, and thus kinda lost it's sense if you can't see it aswell.

To make my point a bit more clear.

Someone was ranting about the lack of exact track from Initial D, and that "they expected more from GT5" and that they think Photomode is useless, and they should make more drift tracks instead. My point is, that the exact track may be a bit hard to get because of the rights from Japanese Goverments, as it will be probably used strictly as a drift track, however I nowhere stated that I don't want a mountain pass track! I like drifting in GT5, tho in real life my car sucks at it (FF, Fiat Seicento) and find it quite interesting. Also your point of bringing up GTA and yakuza is wrong- from what I know Japanese Goverments and people of that rank aren't very happy about the gangs in japan (if they don't belong of it of course...), but simply can't do very much about it. and none of maps in GTA ever mentioned any real japanese city, nor I can remember any game of this kind mentioning any actual city name in Japan as the place where the game takes place.

And please, don't start ranting at people, because I'm not yelling at you, pointing you with finger and poking your eyes out. Argue in a bit more polite manner, because I'm not flaming you.

i don't really get was the goverment of japan has to do with a video game, i mean we don't need the exact same place that exist here or there...we just need a tight mountain road out of PD imagination.

Fujimi was boring as watching paint dry.

Somebody get this guy a cookie. 👍

Although something like Mt. Akina would be nice within this game, it's highly unlikely that it'll happen. To be honest, all GT5 needs now is Ebisu and/or Nikko and it will be undoubtedly the best game that I have ever played in my life.

I agree. how hard would it be to model some of the touge from Initial D, or to create an original one? Several games have featured the "actual" touge from the series in the past.

Not to mention, the Gran Turismo series has long had ties with Initial D. For those of you who didn't know, the Trueno SS/Shuichi Shigeno version is named after the creator of Initial D. The car is based on one evolution of the same car in the series, minus the advertisements on the sides of course.

i agree that it would be nice for PD to put some initial D or Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift style tracks... the cool thing is that most initial D and TXRD tracks are based on real life togue's in japan. however i do not see a reason to be mad at them. if they put it later on then that would be great but i believe there is no reason to hold a grudge just because they do not cater to your every wish. i personally drive the mountains here in california every time i go to work and back home and its so fun and exciting. i drive a FF 4 door sedan and even with that car its fun. hoping to get a good FR car like a 240sx aka s13 silvia to really have fun carving up the mountains =)

Gunsai Touge is a good match for that. It's Narrow, not that much barriers and traffic isn't that much though. :)

The Gunsai touge is originally a bicycle track.
Gunsai being the abreviation of Gunma Cycle Sports Center, so theres no traffic on it.

Featuring the longest circuit in Japan dedicated to bicycles, Gunma CSC offers a full array of cycling machines for providing maximum cycling fun.

The words you speak make me happy, We need the full EBISU complex, Nikko, DEC Sekia Hills, etc. Pretty much every D1SL/MSC track ever used.

How about you guys stop complaining and use the course maker on Mt.Aso? HERP DERP.That's why Kaz put it in there in the first place, but it obviously hasn't done its job.
