I was running 542hp 930kg, no turbos on the 908. I didn't setup a special tune so maybe 2:04s which is a little slow compared to the real life pace of <2:02s the R18 did last year.

The upshot of tonight's test is that on a dry track, qualifying speed laps are about a low 2.03 in an LMP and a low to mid 2.15 in GTE.

If you are unable to get within a second of these times there will be another practice session at some point next week we suggest you attend to help balance your cars.

Thanks for all who turned up, had some good tussels even if Dave was on the wrong tyres ;p

I have to ask some things :)

1. How many laps will be the race?
2. The rolling start procedure - how is going to be - a full lap?
3. Can I have 10bhp more in my BMW V12? To keep up with the Bentley and the Toyota on the straight?

👍

The Bentley is the best lmp imo. So easy to drive. I was slow with the 908 for a reason. Needed oil change. Still doing around low 2:04s compared to 2:03s with the Bentley though.

Since memto and myself and both driven the Peugeot at 950kg (him Oreca 542hp, me Total 532hp) and achieved low 2.04s to mid 2.03s, I don't think there's anything wrong with the spec.

Especially since you have proven to be on the pace in other races I've seen you in, I would suggest that it's a case of set-up fiddling.

If you still feel the car isn't quick enough, please attend the next test, which will take place before next round, so we can determine the best course of action.

I did a private test earlier at Spa and managed a 2:20.178 on Racing Softs. I got about 6-8 laps on 1/4 tank, but the tires were wearing out way too fast. At Monza, I barely used up half a tank before having to pit for new tires. What compound are we using for Spa?

@Gippone: Our current thought process is leading us towards slowing Plux, Dave and Memto down rather then speeding the rest of the field up. Moving the lap times towards 2.03.5 at the lowest.

@Braun: GTE pace should be closer to 2.15/2.16. As for tyre wear, it is always very high as Spa. I've yet to do any true long runs so can't comment on the stint length, but getting the car balanced will be the defining point.

I'm glad i got some practice in with you guys last night. I'm not as far off the pace as I thought I would be.

I don't think you can use that car :( I asked Dave if I could before I joined. He said no :(

So Yesterday there was no problem, answer me - why not?

Or tell me of which range I can choose my car?

My Qualify and race times was between 1:15,5 to over 1:16,XXX.

It's alright Plotnik since Dave didn't have any objections yesterday I assume it was just that at the start of the season it wasn't spec'd.

My setup is fine thanks. The car lags in top speed. I don't test low fuel runs to see qualifying pace. I run 10 laps and go for average time. Why do I have to go to your test sessions when they aren't even on the OP? Not to mention they're at some random time when I am not available. Also are you allowing turbos on lmp's or not?

Test sessions are not mandatory, they are arranged spare of the moment when people have free time, if you are struggling with the peugeot then this will be dealt with eventually, not when you throw a fit, there are several other drivers further away then 2-4 tenths on qualifying times, hence they are our primary focus,

be it by quelling the cars that are faster or boosting the slower ones, yes it is unfair that those who can attend get sorted prior to the ones who can't, but usually the ones who do attend are the ones who need help,

As for the Bentley, It is not spec'd to you and your capabilities so forget it, you have proven in many events you have the skills, use them and we will try to adjust accordingly, remember the R10 stealth? that was almost according to you and your times, we banned it for the same reason you didn't use it, it was region locked therefore not available to everyone, therefore we couldn't genuinely spec it ourselves,

This is a statement not anarguement, I refuse to argue about car spec's that have nothing to do with your individual skills, as of the "to do" list, you will get your turn, please have patience and we will get around to it,

Anything other then a positive reaction to this other then an "ok" 👍 thanks, or "no problem" will result in something I have never done before to anyone, except James, which is ban from an event or series, I've had enough of your constant moans and complaints and comparisons between everything, Its bringing this thread into disrepute, and it wastes my time and everyone elses to the point where we a tired of it and are starting to not enjoy the racing because of it, coming to the third round now and there is now 19 potential drivers to fill cars, a full grid isn't what we are after either, we had 7 people show for the first event and we had no issues,

@plotnik, The GTR R35 TC was not listed due it being 4wd, the only reason it is now allowed is I gave John the job of stewarding the GTE field, This usually wouldn't happen, but due to work commitments I had to divide the work load where possible, hence this miscommunication,

EVERYONE ELSE, we are currentlly in talks over shifting the race weekends around, this is too allow fellow CRAPper's to run in the gt300 series without worrying about overlap, seeing as we now have potentially 5 of you, this will hopefully work in everyones favour, the part we are unsure on is having a double header next week or ISCC having one next fortnight, please bare with us while we iron out the details,

Dave - I'll run the double weekend so now the schedule will be:
Saturday 4th May: ISCC
Saturday 11th May: WEC
Saturday 18th May: ISCC
Saturday 25th May: ISCC + GT300
Saturday 1st June: WEC
etc...

Whoa. Theres major reaching there bud. Throwing a fit? So when people ask legitimate questions thats how you label it? Your base specs are off imo and thats what i brought to attention. I can go lower than 2:04 with the 908. But I can go lower than 2:03 with other cars. And you didnt answer my question about turbos. ;)

Only standard turbo's,

The cut off time is 2.03.7, obviously there is going to be qually laps faster, and laps faster during the race, (fresh tires low fuel) But that is racing, If we all finished at the same time then it would just be another boring Daytona oval race,

I think my Nomad Diablo could manage that sort of time on fresh tires and a light fuel load.

OK, I understand i must starts only in RWD car.
When I could new car and get guidance on the specification?

There is a list on the OP, though looks like the M3 GTR is what's left, if you'd like I'll swap that for my Viper and you can use that?

I have to test it first.

Maybe I look for other car, I think about RX-8 LM or RX-7.

There are also BMW F1 McLaren and Panoz Esperante GT-1.

McLaren and Panoz are definite nos. You'll have to run the Mazdas by TDZdave; since there are still some available, it would be a lot easier for us if you use the already spec'd cars.

Hey Dave, can you tell us the number of laps that we'll face at SPA? I have to do my maths for fuel :)
