Twin Motegi Preview

As the WEC paddock prepares to travel to Japan for the 3 hours of Motegi next weekend, we look back at the last few races, and a look at the circuit that we'll be racing on next weekend.

The circuit

jonnyb1990 the form man in the last few races.
Jonnyb1990 has endured plenty of success in the last 3 races, taking the 10points at Laguna Seca, Spa and the recent Daytona race with pole and fastest lap,along with 2nd places from the first 2 rounds, he leads the LMP standings by a massive 15points from his 908 counterpart memto89 who won at Suzuka and on the road at Laguna Seca before he was docked 1min, put up a stern fight at Daytona, and was leading the late stages of the race, when jonnyb1990 found a way round on the last lap with the gap of victory just a mere 8 hundreths, will memto put one over his rival this weekend?


Nothing between i-was-ere and RichyB28.
As the LMP standings look relatively relaxed, GTE has provided a fantastic battle in the standings, with 1 point seperating RichyB28 and i-was-ere at the head of the standings, with stand in jammyozzy taking maximum points with a runaway victory, the battle for 1st in the standings raged on behind him, Pluxtheduck who won the GTE class at Spa, failed to finish at daytona falling 19 points off the championship leader, with i-was-ere failing to finish at Spa put Richy into the lead of standings, but with i-was-ere out scoring him by 2 points at Daytona, the gap decreased to 1 point, who will have the upper hand at Motegi?

Can chozza break his duck?
Chozza hasn't had a great last few races, Daytona was another nightmare, he was running in the top 4 when he disconnected, Spa he was involved in incidents and eventually retired, with lacklustre results at the 2 races before, can Chozza make it stick at Motegi, if he translate his speed into results he will be someone to look out for, can Chozza break his duck?

Predictions for Motegi from Ninners perspective.
''I think that the 908s will have another strong chance of victory here, my BMW is pretty good in the low speed corners, never count out Chozza either because that Toyota is always up there even though he doesn't get the results that reflect his speed, but my money is on the 908s to take victory.''

I'm working at night this week, So I will not be on the practice sessions.

Drivers Briefing

Track: Motegi
Weather: Sunny
Laps: 105 (incudes pace lap)


Thankfully there was nothing unusual to follow on from Dayona Road, but there is still to much rage quitting, This is an endurance racing series guys, you knew when you signed up the races are 2-3 hours long, it will not be taken lightly anymore,

Pit rule, You must brake on entry and the AI should be able to keep it on the pit lane, if you are found to be entering to fast and the AI cannot control it you will receive a penalty,
Pit exit, there is no pit line on exit so the same rule is carried over from Daytona, You must keep to the right until you require to turn for the corner, any impeding of other vehicles maybe viewed as malicious blocking and penalties will be given,
