Week 101: RCNG-101 Beginner's Racing

Hopefully I'll have time for this this week. A buddy of mine got the Japanese version of GT4, been playing a lot at his house, so I didn't even get to improve on my time for week 100.

Looks like a good race though, so I'll make some time somewhere.

Looks like I'm losing .500 from T1 to T2 compared to Small_Fryz. If I can figure that out, my total should be getting pretty close to where I want to be.

Best T2 was a 1'02.042 but for trying to go at warp speed on the S turn(which I just love to do that), hit the wall with the tail of the car. I think this week will be very tight on the finish line

Have improved my lap time with well over a second and at the same time my T1 time is getting slower and slower..

CFM can you drive T1 for me and i will drive T2 and T3

very quick T1, ive seen 35.8xx, what gear do you guys take the 2nd turn after you come out of the tunnel? I kick back to 2nd. and for the final s bends i kick back to 3rd for the first one then go a bit slower in 3rd for the last one, then its flat all the way to finish.

For that 2nd turn after the corner I go in 3rd gear at about 60-64 mph, and for the S turns I think it's 3rd gear also at 80 mph if my memory is good and that last turn of that S I take it also at 3rd about at 60 mph.

For me, key points on this track are the 2nd turn after the tunnel, right turn after the T1 mark and the last right turn of the S turn.

i also think a key point is the hairpin after the s bends just after T1.

Kinda yeah, but, I am pretty much consistent on that turn, so no probs for me, although...there are several lines that work pretty fast on that turn, others you lose like 0.1 to 0.2

a little while ago a fast racer who i cant remeber his name created a new account and claimed to be a 12 year old. This racer ended up wining the wrs and causeing a lot of doubt as he was as fast as record holding racers.

By what ive seen of your times you would be quick enough to post decent times at the gt3 databases around the net.

Thats what i thought kent ment, though once he comes in he might be able to explain better.

Im not claiming to be a 12 year old, Im just a normal guy in his 20s that likes to race with his friends alot (and beat them alot too). I also do "alittle" autocrossing

Sigh I see a lot of improvement options for me... I'll have to work harder

Just out of curiosity... you really fast guys here, do you use TCS, ASM, both, or neither? And do you choose "Racing" or "Drifting" mode?
Also, what speed do you all get at the finish line?
I only managed to get 128 - 129 mph right at the finish line... I am guessing the last "S" is killing me

Like HeinrichII said, I think my "problem" spots are going to be the second turn after the tunnel, the "S" after T2 and the "S" before the last right turn...

EDIT: Obviously I meant the "S" after the T1 sector, as the "S" after T2 and the "S" before the last right turn are the same thing...
