May I be the first to say it's great to be back to a single lap challenge. Looks interesting with the constraints added too 👍

This combo confuses the hell out of me ... I have no idea what I'm meant to be driving and what "adjustable top speed" is ... I thought that they *ALL* had an adjustable top speed.

You can drive any road car which doesn't have an adjustable top speed and has < 400hp & weighs > 1200kg. Not all cars have adjustable top speeds in arcade mode.

Arcade mode is the key to this...

Remember that. 👍

In arc mode you can't adjust top speed in the quick tune menu on any car that is a normal production car.
Many of the tuner cars also fall into this category of not being "top speed adjustable."

The base idea here is this...

Pick a car you reall like, then quick tune it to meet the race requirements.
Many cars can meet this standard and many more can come close to it.

Good luck in selecting a car. :D

If no one comes up with a great car before the end of the day I will post some suggestions. 👍

Till then,

Arcade Mode Junkie - :sly: You runing this weeks WRS?

Funny i also thought all cars had adjustable trannys except the "Bird" from a couple of races ago.

Can choose "any" car w/ no adjustable tranny, hhhhmmmmm looks like testing is in order. :yuck:

Heh - just a quick thought, get a gt40 detune it and work the weight, still will own all  i think it will work

Car: Lotus Esprit V8
Power: 398bhp
Weight: 1242kg
T1: 32.832
T2: 1'12.098

Woohoo, top of the board :P

Very scruffy though

I'm gonna give this one a go. It will be interesting running both the JGTC series and the WRS at the same time! I'm gonna start looking at cars, and I'm going to run some laps now.

Changes have been made...

After looking into the race setup a bit more I have found that 1200kg is a weight limit that many great cars have a hard time getting down to.

The change has been made from 1200kg to 1250kg.

Please take note of this... Even though it is early in the week, I am sure atleast one of you have already started testing.

Sorry about the confusion. :guilty:

:(

That puts the Tuscan Speed 6 out then. Would have been near-perfect, spec-wise...400bhp/1210kg

Sorry for sounding blond ... but if I come up with a car that can have it's stats adjusted in the quick-tune options to meet the specs, is that okay? Or does it have to meet specs with no tuning?

And I haven't tested this, but am I to understand that certain cars (in the quick tune screen) do not have a "top speed" slider adjustment at all? Or they do, but we're not allowed to use it?

You can use the quick tune to get the car to meet the requirements. Say you want to use a car but it's a bit too light, just increase the weight so that it becomes eligible for the race. As far as top speed setting, all street cars are not adjustable in Arcade mode. If there is a slider for top speed setting in Quick Tune, the car cannot be used.

With the slight change to minimum weight, this car is a bit under now, so you'll have to increase the weight 8kg so that it is at least 1250kg. Sorry about that.:ouch:

Woo, looks like I've found the perfect car :D Weighing (sp?) in at 1250 kg and 388hp. 👍 Yet to be unfolded :D

Used cars are allowed ? Or price cars ?

This is Arcade mode cars. So anything that is available in Arcade Mode and meets the requirements is OK. If there is a used car that you'd like to try, simply purchase it in Simulation mode and it will become unlocked in Arcade mode. Use the Quick tune settings to get the car to meet the requirements if needed.

LOL CFM thnx for answer - AFAICS i cant read :P i thought that its GT mode and we have to buy car that has max 400 hp and min 1250kg and tune those cars.. Uff its good that i asked before running ;)

I've already found two very quick cars. One requires a special driving style, and is very close spec wise (397hp, 1250kg). I can run well into the 1'11s for my T2 with it. The other car, is also excellent as far as the specs go (400hp, 1255kg), and I've lapped T2s as fast as 1'10.6xx with it. I think I'm going to run both cars for a while, as I believe the first one has plenty of performance to be unleashed once I get used to driving it.

wow!!
i think this should've been a two weeker. its gonna take a no nothing like me ages to find a car i like that fits the specs.

i do love this track tho, so hopefully no moaning from me this week! :)

aint making any promises tho! 👍

I'm going to be a blonde myself. I understand the power and weight and the fact that NO race cars are permitted. We must use street cars. That means vehicles off the dealer lot. What about Tuner cars (ie. Spoon Civic, Mine's EVO VI, and such)?

Wow, CFM. 👍

Great job.
You're getting some major work done already and with a race you didn't come up with none the less!

CFM, please get on AIM for me, you know how to contact me (forgot to write that in my pm) :dunce:

For everyone else...
CFM got all the answers right.

Stick to what he said, experiment with different cars.
I'm sure there are a few that you will enjoy.

I have found the Nissan R390 GT1 Road car

EXACTLY 1250Kg and 400 Bhp
sports softs

Handles great,looks great, is mid-rear!

The game says that it is a normal car,it has no max-speed setting, it is not a race car.
Hope it qualifies?

Yes it does qualify and yes it will be the "winner" this week.

Chance are... The R390 GT1 road car is the fastest car availible.

Finding something with that much grip and such a perfect gearing for this track will be impossible.

Now, with that out of the way...
Let's see who goes for the winners and who goes for the odd-ball picks!

2 cars I will enjoy driving this week are the nismo Z-tune and the BTR.
Neither have the grip or gears of the R390, but shoot, I'm gonna have some fun with the other cars first! :sly:

Thanx for that Kent! 👍

It just happened to be the first car i picked, not even a carefully concidered choice.

Will look at others too, but this will be the one for the fastest laps i think.

Neil

thanks to you both.
people like myself who have no idea where to start will be using your ideas to just have a go at the race!

theres just sooo many to choose from.
