OMG I love this car!!!!:D

I'll definitely be in for this one:D although I rarely play Tokyo Reverse:irked:

Nice choice again Kents:tup:

You had me all excited looking at the thread title but then i see tokyo reverse.... :( Oh well, i will still try to get some runs in :)

I'm in, but i'll probably come last again thoough :( damn you guys are good. (Mind you, I only managed about 10 laps on the last one and took my best of those)

GoKents...wht is it with you and FR race cars..hahaha. Give me a MR race car (preferably an Italian one, wink wink) and Apricot Hill ...hahaha!

I can't say I have ever driven a s2000 anything other than a vague memory of one being in the license or time trials in arcade mode, otherwise I've never bothered with one. Tokyo is also a circuit I rarely go to and I think the reverse version I have only driven on to complete the arcade mode (I think).

I did a few laps this morning with the DS2. The AI is no problem here, you are clear of them within 10ses and you never see them again. The car is ok to drive, you gotta stay SMOOTH and ease on the throttle with this one....

I seem to do better with cars/circuits I have no experience with...I should learn alot this week...

I don´t like these races with AI. Count me out.

The AI shouldn't bother you on this one. It's a long straightaway at the starting line so you should be able to take the AI before the first turn.

Of course, I haven't run it yet to find out.

you drop the lead AI car within 10secs....never see them again and even with a really bd lap you finish 10+ secs ahead of the pack. if i can do that half asleep at 7:30am with my DS2 then it should be no problem when you really sit down to race...

Alright, :D

As for the ai... it has already been mentioned, but this car gets past all of the ai before the first turn.

As for the car/track, I hope you all enjoy it, and if you didn't ... sorry. ;)

I haven't gotten the chance to do anything more than a quick test run, but this week should give me some time to run, so until then...
Later. :D

I've noticed a lot of shorter races like this using the arcade mode. Does anyone do 10 lap 'Professional' races? Seems like that could be a bit more fun. With the addition of tire wear it could get really neat.

I'd always like to hear more about this, and will give my opinion on it later today when I get back from school.

In the suggestions thread of this forum. ;)

Good luck racers.

If I can get the car, definitley count me in! Good excuse for me to get rid of the Trial Mtn enduro, so I'll do that on Thursday, when I have some time on my hands.

These races are generally problematic in the weekly seris, because you can't touch the other cars as a general rule. Since the AI is pretty crappy in GT3, you can't do a AI professional race in online competitions.

People don't allways get the same pack of cars, and the AI hits you even if you have right of way.

Hotlap (or Cherry picking) is the most fair way to go. This 2 lap easy arcade mode is effectively just that, because the s2000 is WAY faster than the AI cars. It's only a trick of Kent to be able to do a two lap race, in stead of a single hotlap.

Ok, got some laps, nothing clean yet, it's quite difficult for me to achieve success in the fast paced section b4 the T1, but I think for a good first lap a mid 36 is quite fast :)

Holy christ this is a fun car to drive!!!!!!!!!

Still in free run at this point but running the following almost ever lap;

T1 30.589
T2 1'05.505

I still running the car straight out of the box, no tuning at all...sweet drive!!!!!! this is the first car I've never driven before but have to in the weekly that I think will find a fulltime home in my sim garage!

off the the 2 lapper now....

EDIT: 3 2 lap races best T1s below;
opening lap
T1 37.458
seocnd lap
T1 30.941

Yup, this is one of my favorite cars in the game to drive. I need some more practice with it, though. Looks like I'll get a chance this week. :)

I thought I had this car but I only have the spoon race car. Ill have to try and win it tonight.

I'll be running this week - I like the car and the track.

Someone earlier mentioned a 10 lapper with tyre wear. A couple of years ago I ran a 10 lapper at ssr5 in a 787B and thoroughly enjoyed it so I think it would be a good idea to try.

Apologies for my absence over the past two weeks.

Well, I would say on the longer races that everyone would need to include the competition cars in their time submission data. There would also be a greater forgiveness for wall and car bumping. And besides, if you run the race a few times you're bound to run one magnificently clean and maybe pick up a good draft or two off of the competition.

I think it would also possibly make it more competetive among members as some people are really consistant and can run slightly slower laps regularly but others can run blindingly fast laps intermittently between a bunch of spin outs and misshaps.

Maybe after this one I'll start a spot race using the Professional mode.

This is my take on it as well, though I find that the distance between me and the guys with the real skill on the board just increases. The reason people like ODP get such fast laps is because they're consistent. They run laps that are consistently faster than mine and then when they have a brilliant lap, it's that much faster than my brilliant lap.

Anyway, I like the longer races better than the shorter ones because I think it's more realistic.

Greetings to all you fellow Racers....I'm new to this site (member @ Gt3Times for 2 1/2 years) but not a newbie.

I'm warmed up for this race although it's not one of my best tracks, since I'm running a Lotus in Daan's "King of the Street 5" challenge at Tokyo II also.

So I'll back this puppy out of my garage and 'get to racin':banghead:

I realized last night I only have one S2000 LM in my garage. !!! And I'm the guy who likes S2000s so much. I'll supe that one up and turn in some times, but I really need to get back to building up my garage.

Oooh, my favourite track :D

I've got 29.2, 1'03.3 so far in free run.

:( I'm tired of being the 'fire hydrant' to the Mr. P's of the world....tired of playing 'the Cool hand Luke' working in the chain gang, watching my reflection in the mirrored sunglasses of the 'Hugo Boss's.....tired of being 'Min E.' to 'Max E.'.....

Well, I guess I'd better get used to it, that's the way it is! :) :banghead:

Just a little humorous whining.... :)

Running this S2000 LM is like night and day to the stock Lotus V8 SE I've been running here all week.
