For all your referencesises...

GT3Emperor MAY have a silly, ostentatious username, but that's what happens when you let kids pick it. Don't be fooled into thinking he's all show and no go... If he IS Min E to Max E, it's not by much - and how many of us can say that?

 :D

Yeah, heard about gt3 emp from some of the other members and word is, don't be fooled, he is fast.

Hopefully he will get the challenge he/you are looking for in the weekly.

I always want more participants and I always like to see how I match up to others.

Im not that fast, but I will put in what work I can. Actually, I'm just hoping that you don't totally out-class the pack when odp isn't around.

Good luck.
btw, at the moment, I don't have any good laps, but I am currently running free runs in the 1'03 range. (high 1'03s)

Later. :D

  :) Thanks for the kind words Famine......I need all the help I can get....I was trying to get away from some of these fast guys, but it looks like they are everywhere!

I haven't driven a fully boosted car in ages.....Man, what a rush! I was strugglin' to just keep this thing on the road. Still searching for the right set-up, but running in early stages of Free Run practice:

T-1 = 29.394

T-2 = 1:03.723

I can see this is going to get really tough.....I see you over there Daan! :mischievous:

I remember how well you ran here a while back in Lotus 350's hot lap challenge in a Mazda RX-7 LM.:)

Dont get her too excited though, I hear she gets really.... really wet

:D

I noticed in 2 nights of not playing much at all I've already put 207miles on this car. I think I have the suspension tuned in almost (mild understeer in the front, not bad but it won't stick) and the gear ratios are dialed...

best sectors tonight

first lap
T1 36.8 (but I run 37.1s almost every lap now)
T2 I saw a 1'11.xxx go by but that seems slow, didn't really look here)

second lap
T1 29.847 (but run 30.3xxs almost every lap)
T2 1'04.2xx (again seems slow but i didn't pay close attention here, just watched if it was blue or red)

off the bed....I really like this car!

Well, I'm sure glad I don't have to pay for damages. I've knocked umpteen bodies clean off of this car. Starting to get in some clean laps:

1:14.6 and 1:07.4 for T2s in best clean save.

Now I just need to get a bit more agressive, and not worry so much about the rails.

Spent the day cruising the "Corduroy" in glorious 60°F. sunshine.

I've just had a decent session, which uncovered some unexpected times. I like this car and it's fast. Now, if I could only go fast without scraping the car.

When I get something clean, I post the splits.

I hope this post doesn't double. The site is acting up.

Gah. Stupid amatuer dream car championship. Its not giving me the s2000. I dunno now if I'm going to make it this week.

Viper, make the save trick...win the 1st 5 races and skip the other two, you should have enough points to do this and place first..oh and when you finish skipping the 6th race...save the game right there...if the S2000 doesnt appear, you can load the game again and appear at the 6th race and try to have it again.

Also, if you want the S2000, look for its siluete when the 4 cars are shown, when that circle is on the S2000, quickly press X, or square or something, and you'll get it :)

Well if you already know all of this, I'm just trying to help :D

I'm out this week. I don't have any more time to race and I'm only running 29.5's and 1'04.0's. I've seen how it gets down to 1'03 but it will take me too long to put it there.

Maybe next week.

Oh! another one of those, "Im not doing well so Im out weeks" huh?

Weak!

Anyway, I finally got some settings in that are pushing my times into the mid 1'03's in free run.

As for the race itself, first laps are going better than seconds. On second lap attempts I can't seem to come close to matching my free run so at the moment my race runs are in the 1'04 range.

Oh well. Just keep at it fellas. (and ladies. ;) )

Sorry I don't have more time for it Kents.

I didn't do well with the viper at laguna but I posted a time. I didn't do well at the swiss alps but I posted a time. That's because I had time to work on it. I had enough time to do what I felt I was capable of.

Edit: I don't even like to think about midfield.

Right on bud.

I hear you and feel the same way.

Not to worry, I didn't mean to rag on you... just doing it to make sure I put in some effort to keep everyone with us.

Look forward to you running next week.

I will be back later today or tonight with some in-race splits... till then... later. :D

I already knew that stuff. I'm not doing the first option cuz I'm tryin to keep my 100% win ratio. ;) :D I've tried the second option but it doesnt work. :irked:

Buy an X-Port and/or another memcard.
With the X-Port, you could DL CarbonFiberMan's garage.
With another memcard, you could have a game save for the WRS and a pristine save.
IMHO, the X-Port is the better value, as it does much more for a little more money.

:) Man, that's a pain...having to win a car, then go race with it. I've done that a few times in the past.

Well, my eyes are starting to get used to the speed ratio of this car compared to the stock stuff I've been driving lately. It still looks like 'warp' speed though.

My set-up is still producing a little to much understeer, so far I've just been trying to get some complete laps with all 3 sectors decent.

Free Run Times are: T-1=29.1's.....T-2's 103.2'.....

To run close to that in the race would be a miracle, I'm sure. Well, let me get back to more head banging.:banghead:

Aaah, so it's your S2000 that's 0.1 secs ahead of me, getting in my road! :mischievous:

well i must say i think this is a killer combo. i dont remember the last wrs that was this fun for me, even though im a little behind here i think

Lap
T1: 37.8
Lap 2
T1: 30.6
T2: 1:06.5

Mixed bag.
I had high hopes, but it's degenerated into frustration. (typical)

Best clean save:
35.647
69.500

29.040
62.915

It's OK. :embarrassed: But, I've a dirty race, which is .598sec. faster.
I'm finding it very hard to repeat or to even get close.

PB race splits:
35.598
69.133

28.895
62.580

PB splits:
28.895
62.462 This is going into the database.

Aww, crap. I've lost my train of thought.
Oh yeah. I hope to have the weekend free. Maybe I can get a fast, clean race.

:embarrassed: Yeah, Daan.....I'd rather be in your windshield than in your mirrors... .....especially knowing how quick your S2000 LM is here. Even if it's by one silly millimeter!:P  :)

I'm about to head out of the pits now for the morning warm-up.....I had to polish my classic gold BBS wheels, and get my red and black racing livery shiney for today's session.

Let's see if I can stay in front of you today.......:D :D :D

Morning Warmup:T-1=29.150....T-2=1:03.050

Damn i used to think i was fast till i met with you guys....

decided to go and spend the entire weekend setting the quickest time i can in the S2000LM.

best so far is T1 30.103...T2 1.05.372

still a bit to go to catch u boys

havent had soooo much fun in a long time

I'll just give you a friendly "nudge" as we go into the first corner... :mischievous: The mechanics are taking the dust sheets of my Black and Gold S2000 as I speak (type).

:) That's what I don't need is 'a nudge'......I have no trouble doing bad all by myself!

We tried a couple trial races to see what would break.....keeping this thing off the walls for two fast laps is asking for a miracle....you end up backing-off a little just to get through clean. That leaves about 2 seconds on the table compared to what may be possible.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Afternoon Practice: T1 = 28.985.....T2 = 1:03.043....:mischievous:

Can't really say I'm enjoying this. I'm not a fan of pray-that-it-stays-off-the-walls races :irked: So far, I've seen:

36.8 / 1.11.xxx
30.0 / 1.04.2

But not a clean save in the bunch (I think I've run one, yes one, clean lap in free run so far).

I think this race would have been way more fun with the stock S2000 LM. 1000hp is so fast that you're not learning much along the way.
