Small update...

18.3/57.6

Still not too many laps run yet, and not much break in milage, but now that the weekend is here, I'll be sure to put some more seat time in ;)

I had the advantage of already having a MSE in the garage with about 300 kays on the clock, no break in for me :D

wow, I feel really out-leagued (I've been gone for what, 2 months?). Already I'm posting crap times because of it (my best T2 so far is a 1'01.7, so I'm probably going to enter the beginner division this week just so I don't embarass the crap outa myself in amateur class).

Actually, the original division was the Sharkport was made for NTSC and the X-Port was made for PAL.

When the Sharkport was discontinued, the X-Port becoame the default device. I don't know about the software, but I'm sure the later versions are able to discriminate between PAL and NTSC users...

AFAIK, the actual hardware was and is the same.

Anyone having any luck with this? I decided to switch from my DS/2 which is my normal controller to my Driving Force pro which I have only had for a short time, since I had nothing to do the other night. I spent 6 straight hours driving it because I'm still not used to the wheel yet, but it made this particular car so much more enjoyable to drive (after the first hour or two bouncing off every wall in the joint). I came up with TWO separate laps with T2's of 56.6 and both finishing times were ok but within .001 of each other:P But upon inspection in the analyzer each have a very minor wall touch:irked: I won't really have any more time to try again until Monday night with the wheel, if at all, so I'm still sitting on my 56.888 for now:( I may be able to get some DS/2 time if I get a chance to play at work but I've been really busy there this week and that doesn't look promising either, so we'll see...but I really wanna get that elusive run in before the deadline:banghead:

P.S. glad the setts helped out Buffalo.:)

Dood...that's pretty fast. :P

Whups my slow arse....by more than 10 seconds

This is another family visiting week for me, so needless to say, my concentration has suffered for the last two weeks. I've tried the car a couple of times with a handful of miles on the odometer.....not very promising for the second sector yet. I can see the first sector coming around, but T2 has a lot of challenging ground to cover.

Of course, with this combination, it's going to take a ton of miles to just get a feel for everything......I'm not going to have the dedicated time to achieve that, so maybe not this week.....maybe so. If I get a feel really soon by some miracle!

There are some really good times bouncing around, and I'm glad to see some new faces.....I'm hoping to meet all of you on the track under better conditions soon!:P :mischievous: :D

Sidewalks are fine, but walls are not. ;)

Good luck and have fun.

I will be back in the morning with some updates on my times. :D

:banghead: Oh, I am such a dumb idiot!!!

I had a nice time that I should've saved....and didn't.

Now I wish I had.

I had been pulling a T2 of 58.xxx and just kept screwing up the lap either before T1 or either before or after T2 trying to improve on it.

Hotrod's setup was a good one. I slapped that on and made a couple minor tweaks and had that car running good.

After bashing the wall on the downhill straight, I shut my PS2 off in disgust.

Oh, that makes me so mad. :banghead:

Oops, I'm not quite that fast - minor typo there:embarrassed:
I did get me a clean save of 56.6XX with a good end section to boot. I saw a number of 56.5's and one 56.4 that I couldn't hold together, so maybe there's a bit more for me yet to come:mischievous:

Hehe..I figured it was a typo. Just havin' a bit o' fun ;)

Finally have the Motorsport fully broken in (ran the final Beginner's League Championship and the first Amateur League Championship; may as well get a few bucks while I'm racking up the milage) so it's back to Seattle II.

Not running the best line as I did before, but still managed to improve:

18.4/57.0

No doubt, I'm leaving at least .5 seconds out there seeing as the previous, lower HP ghost is ahead in one or two places...

Guess what?

There's more than you think... :mischievous:

I still haven't been able to capitalize, but... I did get a clean lap up to t2 that included a 56.0. (ruined at the bottom of the hill. :banghead:

That was also with a slow open, so frankly, 55.9 is possible for sure. ;)

I just need to nail one down because at the moment, my clean save is in the 57.1 range... (I think) ;)

Back later today maybe, till then,

Edit:

Well, I just finished for the week.

Looks like my final lap is semi fast, but still has a ton to lose.
18.1 -> 56.5

That pisses me off too, because I managed dozens of 17.6-8, but never tied one to a fast lap. ( I mean, except for the 56.0 that I lost at the bottom of the hill. :banghead: )

Well Im out for now, but keep up the work racers.

btw, Don't forget to include your division with your time. I made a statement about the results of doing so and I think you all should take heed of my notice.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41460
"I also want to mention that next time one of you puts in a time without marking the division, you are going to be placed mid pack with whatever division you seem to fit with... hear that, this means that if you want the right placing, or that podium in div 2, you better put you division in with your time."

Anyway, good luck and have fun fellas. :D
Later.

You're right Kent, there was a bit more here as I saw a 18.0->56.150, but I never ever got a T1 less than 17.950, I don't know how you have gotten as low as 17.6:eek: Maybe your gearing is a bit different and you pull ahead on the straightaway or you are braking later than me in the T1 zone:odd:

Anyway my final lap for submission has a T2 of 56.3XX. See you all at the results thread, and good luck to all you racers:D

well i got put on a new shift at work so i am going to have to post my times early from now on but for division 3 i think i did good t1 18.786 t2 59.019

Well... I haven't done anything to the gearing, so I would say it is breaking for the first turn, or my use of rumblies at the second turn.

Either way, it is obvious that you are loosing time there. (just as I did on my keeper. ) (18.1 on final clean lap)

I know how bad it can piss you off too... I just needed one good lap with a 17.??? so I could break into the range of times I was hoping to get, but oh well... maybe I will do well next week.

Until tonight when I post results. :D

btw, don't forget to get your times in on time, include divisions, and of course, have fun. :D
Later.

Submitted my time, a fter putting a bit of work into it earlier this week, couldn't run it much over the past few days. :irked:

But hey, there's always next week.

Time Submitted...haven't been able to run since Thursday, work got in the way...oh well, I enjoyed the car/circuit combo for once, wish I had more time to run I know mid T2 57.xxxs were in my future, maybe better.

18.288 / 58.200

Time submitted:

19.555 59.395

Very tough car/track combo for me, in a week where I had very little seat time. Guess I'm aspirating exhaust in Div. 3 this week, but next week may be a different story.

Wow! Almost forgot to submit my times for this week.. Mine wasn't anything amazing but T's of '17.863 and '56.529. Not quite the lap/time i wanted to break, but i guess not bad for having a faulty PS2 Version 1 laser that has been giving me Disc Read Errors all week, and not playing GT3 for over a month.

The first sector was a little tricky, but my fastest T1 was about 17.45 or 17.5.. can't remember for sure.

But anyways, good race everyone and see ya next challenge.

results shortly... meaning about 5 minutes.

Later. :D

gokent i had the same problem, my fastest t1 was 17.554,
but then i alway's blew the laps wen my t1 was below 18 sec,

my fastest lap was with a t1 of 18.2 so i lost al lot of time there:banghead:
