How would that conflict? You tune the car in GT mode go to Arcade mode and select it from your garage.

soryy, I got confused because when I was selecting the car it said it only has 127 HP, which I know is complete B.S. 'cause tuned up it's about 300 or so, found out it staus changed when I started driving, no stock Miata has that acceleration:lol:

Allright, we get to use my car!:D My Miata in real life doesn't have 340HP though:lol: Thanks Kent;)

I was just thinking the other day that we haven't run SSR5 II in a while, nice choice there as well:cool:

I'm ready to race, but got a minor problem.

I'm not sure what Mazda MX-5, we're talking about here. In my PAL-version theres a:
MX-5 at 16.900cr.
MX-5 at 17.000cr
MX-5 1.8RS at 22.950cr.
MX-5 1.8i at 23.280cr.

No MX-5 LS.

Could somebody please clarify. Thanks.

Hi NielsG:
:D And "Congrats" on your Division win for Week #63! I just saw a post somewhere that explains the whole "PAL/NTSC" Miata fiasco. If you can't find it send a PM to "Famine." I'm 99% sure he was the author.
Good Luck 👍...UB57 :D

In NTSC, the LS is the one selling for 23,280cr.

157 hp, 1070 kg at the dealership.

Thanks for the very rapid answers. 👍

UB57. Found the link. But it's still a little unclear. Here it is if anybody else wants t o take a look.

HareTurtle. Together with the above I think, I got it.

I'll hurry back to the dealer and buy me a fresh MX-5 1.8i.

Looks like I'm superfluous here then... :D

Finally after a two week break I can race again, now that I have the car and money to do it!!

Good luck to all.

25.9
48.5

My T1 was pretty good, but there's more to come at the end of the lap.

Update:
25.6
47.8

Don't know how the other Div 2 runners will be doing but I'm calling it quits tonight on

T1 - 26.654
T2 - 49.686

Had a 26.4 and a slightly dodgey 49.0.

Suprised how much time there is to be had between T2 and FIN.

I also am somewhat dubious as to how much of a difference the setup will make. I certainly think that people will be posting close times with wildly varying set-ups.

Anyway. 'Night all.

After first session:
26.669
49.576

I did see a 26.0 but crashed before the T2.

"BOW YOUR HEADS"!

The Emperor has returned to the 'Planet' after enjoying a much deserved break from merciless humiliation and degredation. Someone of royal breeding, such as myself, can only take a certain amount of 'butt whuppin' before a hasty, but dignified retreat is in order.

Well,.....anyway...this brand new '0' miles sunburst yellow Miata is all muscled-up and ready for a quick breakin shakedown at Rt5 II. The results after a handful of laps in the car with stock settings except for tranny tricked gears is:

T1= 26.082

T2= 48.487

More later as my crew gets this puppy dialed in.... :odd: :D

hahaha oh how i miss the Planet. ur post is jokes Emp.

i love this car, and track. should make for some fun times.

25.833 / 49.158

What a damn nice car to drive, the Miata has always been one of my favorites in GT3, but beyond the beginner league you rarely get a chance to run it. This is refreshing and what I like to see in the weekly. A nice handling car with a decent, but not grossly huge, amount of HP on a circuit that rocks.

Nice combo GoKents.

This was my first session, may not get time for another until this weekend but I do want to run this one more, Iam stoked and want to do well in a weekly race for once in MANY MANY weeks!

nice!

Fun car on a fun track! Good one GoKents! 👍

Best clean save: 25.762 48.784

I know I can shave a couple of tenths if I can just turn early enough on that left after the T1, but no matter how early I turn, I'm way wide of the rumble strip, and struggling to stay off the outside wall.

i think i am getting the hang of sett up my cars just ran a t1 26.670 t2 49.827 but i think i can get some more time off of t2 and maybe t1 butt will have to see

Ok guys... first off. :D

Right now I am running the super speed way enduro with this miata in its exact setup for ssr5.

It is doing well... pulling laps in the 39.2 range while everyone else is in the 40 range. (except the elise which I will take care of with pit strategy. :mischievous: )

However, I wanted to mention this because it is a perfect way to break in your car and earn 200,000 credits along with a prize car.

For real though, it is cool since the setup (including tranny) works perfectly. (except a tire change to t2s is needed)

So yeah, I suggest running that if you are new and don't have credits in your account, or if you don't feel like breaking in your car on route5.

Also, I ran some laps with my car at 330 hp...

Got down to 47.9 clean & kept.

However, 47.5 is not far off, and I can only imagine that 46.9 will be possible once I have a fully broken in engine.

Does anyone know the fully broken in power on this sucker. I would think it is about 350 or so, but it could be more.

Anyway, I will be back later today after I finish this enduro.

Catch you guys then. :D

Kent: The car will be fully broken in at 340bhp.

My comparitively miserable best at the moment is:

T1 - 26.353
T2 - 49.589

I think most of the other times up at the moment are Div 1?

Had a clean 49.395 but the fastest lap was on the 49.5. In fact, further to my last post, having been two tenths down on my best at T2, my lap ended two tenths up on the 49.395. meaning i found a whole 0.4 in the final sector. There was no obvious improvement either. Anyway; I think the final positions will be anyone's guess with all that time in T3.

Frankly I don't know how people are getting 47.xxx's. I think I'm still braking somewhere that is not needed. Is the turn after T1 flat?

Hmmm.
I wouln't hold my breath, but still glad to have you with us. ;)

I just ate lunch and took a break once I hit lap 30 out of 100.

Holding first place, as I should be, and continuing to dog those damned idiot ai runners.

Back at something like lap 65 or so.

Till then... later. :D

Btw, I think you may be wrong about that 340 fully broken in figure... I will find out soon enough. :D
Do you have a full 200 miles on the car yet?

Well, it looks like you're right ray.

I just finished my hour & 7 minute long enduro...
Ended with 193.? miles on the odometer.
Put me on 340hp.
I doubt that final 7 miles will increase hp any, and I doubt that the extra 10 hp will make a major difference in my time, so... until I get any real improvments... Later. :D

340 is correct. I have a prize LS with all the trimmings.

I know it's still early in the week, but Div 2 and 3 turnout is looking a little thin for this one, which is suprising since it's a combo pretty much everyone can do.

I still can't fathem how I'm losing ~1.5-1.9 secs to Div 1 runners when there's only 4 braking points and maybe a small lift just before T2. I can only assume my lines are wrong, but they're pretty conventional.

After tonight's session I think it's highly unlikely I'll get into the 25.xxx's, and pretty much certain that the 48's are out of reach. :(

I need to take a fresh look at this track again. There has to be something I'm missing here?

Brake into 1st & 2nd corners. I drop down to 4th, but don't brake for the turn after T1. Brake into the hairpin. Flat thru the right, smaaaall lift for the left before T2. Flat thru the esses. Very sliiight lift on the left to settle the car and brake for the right. Flat thru the one before the tunnel. Slight lift at the tunnel entrance than flat.

Check this video of me at SSR5 II in the Oreca Viper. That's pretty much the line I use in the MX5 too.
