A little heads up, the Honda Integra Type R with a Naturally Aspirated Stage 2 tune and a regular computer chip, with everything else upgraded, will yield a 320hp and a 3.003 PWR. This is with 200 miles on it and fresh oil, so should be pretty well broken in.

I'm working on getting a........that would be telling now wouldn't it?:P  I can be almost positive that I will take overall last again, but I'm just having some with with these "chose your car, but there's one that stands out" races, and winning some nice keychains while I'm at it:lol: :D

Threw the Integra Type R around the track a few times. No horsepower increase so the previous set up should hold. Anywho, this was the best for tonight:

T1: 25.859
T2: 52.640
T3: 1'34.559

I need to start getting to work. I should do better, now that I have more time under my belt.

After first session in the Integra Type R (PWR:3.060):

26.8
53.9
1'38.5

I also tried out the Beetle Cup Car (PWR:3.098). Faster but no clean laps till now.

I don't believe the Integra - or any of it's ilk, like the TRD Celica, FTO, Alfa 156 - are going to be the cars for this track. I think a shorter wheelbase and lighter body is in order...

I found this wheelbase issue to be one of the first on my mind... so I looked into it and guess what?

Of the 3 competitors on my list, the integra was the shortest of the group.

Even crazier than that is the fact that the civic type r has a longer wheelbase than both the trd celica and the integra type r.

At the moment I am breaking in an integra... I will be back with progress by the end of the day...

Till then,
Later. :D

Hey dude, I'm gonna have to ask that you're not so specific about your car choice, this is a competition where strategy is key.

Jk.

But you know, I think you're on the right track, and I suggest everyone looks into a short wheel base car.

As darin is doing (hopfully later it will change to "was doing") I was using the Celica, but after running it around the track a bit and seeing how it handled, I'm thinking the shorter wheel base cars the best bet.

I mean, the celica has a wheel base that is acceptable, but overall, I think it might not be the best choice for this race. ;)

My first choice was the Celica, but my wee light motor is only .5 behind it and it hasn't been setup yet.

Times so far in me wee motor

26.503
53.117
1'34.638

I'm still slower than in me TRD but I'm getting there, and having waaay more fun!

im still deciding on my car, got it down to 3.

for all you guys who arnt enjoying understeering around r11, flame away cos im the one who sujested using FF lol

Um no.

There will be no flaming in this thread. ;)

And trust me, the people who can't stand this race are not going to be around to post or flame or do anything for that matter.

I figure that if people are gonna skip out on "normal" races like the spoon s2000 or the 787 at tokyo, then they are also gonna skip out on something like this. :D

Now, as for my racing this week...
Not going very well, but getting there.

About the car to choose, let me give you guys a hint.
The Mitsu FTO GP prize car can hit 3.00? and has .31? twr

Also, what's amazing about it is that the car can do that at 370hp and at 340hp (those figures, both twr and pwr apply to both hp figures).

Great car, and even better is the fact that it has a wheel base of 2500 and a track that is just slightly larger in front.

So yeah, if you're looking for the better car, that's your best bet. ;)

I'm still trying to decide between the trd and the fto... hard pick because I have toyota loyalty thanks to the racer in my front yard (toyota camry  ).

I don't agree (yet). Since we have a fixed weight/power ratio, the lighter the car, the less power you'll have.
I tried both VW Cup cars : the Lupo (277hp) and the Beetle (382hp), and there is no comparison possible : the extra 100hp make the difference in the straights.
The most power I could have in a FF car and still be above 3.000 ratio was 445hp. But the car is a barge...
I still need to try the FTO, it should be one of the best cars for this week.

I got no idea about this one.... this is one thing i still havnt mastered... tuning a car.... and with the tuning races it will show, ahahahahaha

Luv FF cars but... Drive a Turbo FF myself... so maybe in theory i should be ok,hahahaha

Gooood track choice.... luv it.

:D

Looks like Divison 3 is gonna be mine for the taking. :D

I can't stand this race.

Natural reaction, when the going get tough, but I know, that it's in the difficult races, I learn the most. And improving is one of the important fun factors for me.

Probably.
But please post your splits, so we have a target. ;)

Yep. But there's only actually one straight. A nimbler car will more than make the second or so it loses on the straights right back up again by T1.

I've yet to actually try this, but with this track being one of my favourites in GT3, you can bet your ass I will be racing this week.

After testing 3 different cars; I was finally able to get a decent lap in w/ a 265 HP car running a 3.09 p/w ratio. ;)

T1- 26.868
T2- 53.724
T3- 1:36.275

There's at least 2 to 3 tenths in there. More testing to follow. ;)

So yer DS2 cramps are gone? SWEET!
If so, welcome back, and thanks for the comments on my avatar a couple weeks ago. :)

Another session and:

26.913
53.635
1'36.457

Cut over 2 seconds and still lots of time out there. :)

I still think its a neat-o avatar :)

Wrist cramps aren't entirely gone... I can play somewhat... and as you should know... I can't turn my back on a good FF round ;) so hopefully I can find enough time (cause playing time is short 30-60 minutes tops with hours of break inbetween-- just to be on the safe side)....

Somehow I doubt the Mini will be able to gain enough power to keep up though... and without pushing it up to maximum power... the Integra doesn't usually stack up against the TRD Celica as well as it should.

EDIT: YAY! Finally! My 100th post... I can get my own personal avatar :D

Don't think I'll run that FTO around R11. Absolutely despise that car after running the Arcade Version at SEGTP II earlier this year.

Kent, I could send ya a car file for the Integra Type R that I fiddled with. All you would need to do is add the part upgrades and do the oil change to get it close to the limit.....save ya the time of trying to break that thing in.
