Send all final times via PM to Me. (GoKents)
Remember to include your division.

I want to add a final note.
At this power, with the fine tuning available and no tire wear to worry about, this car/ track combo should be well balanced and quite an enjoyable run.
I hope for the best. 👍

Later. :D

Okay, Z06 only sitting at 47.5 miles (389 Hp) and the sectors look like:
20.792
38.905
58.659

This car definitely feels balanced, yet also VEEEEERY lightweight. Oh well... should be fun

after 10 quick laps
0'21.xxx 0'40.137 1'01.030

good combo gokents, nice decision not to max out the hp, i like it

In your nationalistic week Kents i was hoping for a Cobra at Seattle....but....you give us this. You know how I feel about american race cars, especially the corvettes...but in my proud American feelings I'll stop whining this week. Plus this does sound sorta fun...never driven this car seriously (other than once or twice).

I do have a feeling though it could get ugly though..

haha.

Before i muck this one up... you cant purchase anything from the engine and exhaust department?

I did an oil change and its now at 388bhp. p/w is 3.631

Just want to make sure i get this race correct..

That is correct.

However, you also need to perform the lightweight modifications.

This will bring your pwr ratio closer to 3.000, and once you have fully broken in the car the power should be at 398 and the pwr should be 3.007.

Good luck and have fun. 👍

Bought and tuned the car to the specs and ran 31 laps around the Test Course to break it in.

Then, strolled over and ran a few laps and pulled these sector times:
T1-21.380
T2-40.062
T3-1:00.295

So, by comparing these preliminary times......looks like I'm about a couple seconds off of Link's time. Not too bad for myself.

A very close tranny is the key to this course. Also, I was able to pull 3rd gear through the Corkscrew........wonder if everyone else is able to do the same.

I can, but the exit is sloppy joe splattered on a wall, guess I should go tighter? Anyway, that's about what my best lap was Red, still much time to be found though, me car's been a lil' loose in the cabboose lately, anyone got some help fer an ol' geezer?

After first session:

21.017
39.465
1'00.588

I'm driving with the default settings, except for the gears, ASM and TCS. I love the handling of this car, and Laguna is always a pleasure. In other words: Fantastic combo, Kent. 👍

Thanks all, glad you guys like the combo.

As for a loose caboose...
Well you would really need to post your settings, but... just for starters, try putting your front and rear springs closer together.

Right now I am running springs at 10.5/12.0 (front/rear). However, when I started the race I ran on stock spring settings for a while. The stock settings proved to be close to acceptable and for that reason I am going to guess that a spring rate difference of more than 5 is not really needed for this track/ car combo.

Good luck and have fun with it. :D

This car is SO not my taste....blah....but I'm sticking with it but honestly have absolutely no friggin clue how to tune this car. Oh and I bought it brand spanking new and only have 55miles on it...

21.596 / 40.322 / 1'00.889

Hopefully I'll get another session in Sunday or Monday as I am going away this weekend.....

Time submitted, I know I'm not gonna do better than what I got, as it is the only clean lap where I took the second corner and that annoying piece of crap corner right before pit lane perfect, both make and break laps here.

T1-21.271
T2-39.703
T3-1:00.226

Knocked 8 tenths of a second off my lap from last night. Key was that I changed my final ratio to bring the gears closer and, also, adjusted my style so that I was able to punch it into 4th gear on the downhill portion of the Corkscrew and not lose control of the car.

I believe that latter part alone is where I made up some time that I was losing elsewhere.

T1-21.245
T2-39.548
T3-59.524

Fastest I've been yet....and the run was CLEAN! I was surprised that I kept the car under control through the key corners (especially coming out of the Corkscrew) and still kept my speed up.

As a result, another 7 tenths that I've further chopped off my time. :D

Attempting to grind the rust off myself.

12.0/10.0
82/82
10/10
10/10
2.0/2.0
0.0/0.0
7/6

7/9

40/50/5
Tricked
4.500

ASM 0
TCS 2

There's really not much to the setup. Very forgiving car.

Splits similar to TML.
If I can knock off .2, I'll be happy. Knock off .4 and I'll be very happy.
I need a new avatar.

Short morning session before work:

21.152
39.714
1'00.107

Hope to find some time to race Monday evening, otherwise this will be it. Good luck to the rest of you. 👍

Time submitted.

Great car and track combo,,,,,,, shes a pretty fast big car on one of me fav tracks....

:)

Morning all !! Im finally back after a few weeks off from the weekly.

Time submitted with splits of
21.070
39.376
59.433

I see a few new names on the weekly boards and if you were wondering, Im in Div 2 (If you weren't wondering then thats OK !!)

I enjoyed the chevy more than I though - Hopefully my time will see me near the top of Div 2.

Good luck all.

Well this is the 1st actual time I have entered officially in one of these, well im in Div2 and I just ran 10 laps with a quick setup I made, the car seems to drive well (no understeer) and I might do the next weekly if I have any time.

Im not the best of drivers but I feel this lap was okay, I know I could of knocked another 2 tenths off but oh well.

21.394
40.187
60.035

BigJamesGTI, I shouldn't be that far behind you. :D

Also, coming back to GT3 after playing Prologue for 5 days, I never realised until now how light and arcadey the cars feel.

Long time, no see. ;)

All you guys out there listen up !

ODP is back!

btw, since everyone is putting cards on the table, I may as well mention that I have a few runs in on this race as well. :mischievous:  ODP is Back!

Anyway, I'm happy to see people enjoy the car/track combo.

Catch you all later,
- :D

151.7 miles... 395 Hp

Improved my lap time by 0.400

But lost 0.150 in the T3...

I also lost 0.350 from start line to T2, but gained back 0.200 in the corkscrew alone... suggesting I shouyld be able to get about 0.200-0.400 out of the lap yet

Be back later :)

I was watching a show about downhill bicycle racing when I thought the area looked familiar. Turns out it was Laguna Seca.

I've run out of time.
20.633
38.655
58.476 submitted

BTW, I changed the gears.

2.295
1.668
1.279
1.075
_.925
_.815
4.600

Oh, and I also set the LSD at 5/5/5. No faster, but more consistent and easier to drive.

I'm :) , but was hoping to be :D .
.2 remains to target.
I'll post the replay in the results thread.
Good luck 👍

Well, flogged the car for about 17 laps and had a good one going......but, blew it by going wide on the 2nd to last corner of the track.

Ticked me off, too. Would've shaved another 2 tenths off my previous best if I hadn't done that. :banghead:

No more time to run this one,so total and sector times submitted

T1 20.940 T2 38.858 T3 58.598:D

Excellent Car/Track combo Gokents:tup:

Still a bit busy here but I should be able to get some times in for this event after my Monday exam, well, you can count on it actually :)

Ok hey fellas!

First off, I accidentally deleted your private message HighonPSI, so if you want me to get that data ;)
I could probably use it too.

I know I will need data from atleast 1 helper this week so I can compare data with other racers with similar times.

So yeah, thanks for the effort with what ever you decide. :D

Also, I'm putting in some laps this week... still off pace, but working at it. ;)

And odp, you lucky dog!

Do you have any clue how popular downhill is here in Louisiana?
I used to, used to be a mtn biker... since I moved down to louisiana. :irked:

Oh well. :D

Anyway, catch you guys later on once I've nailed the lap I'm looking for.

btw, don't forget to include those divisions when you submit your time.

Oh yeah, big time important notice.
The GTP will be down on monday at some point during the day.
We are upgrading to vB3 and it will be gtp version 6.

This could interfere with the weekly race series.

Considering the deadline is at 1am est. monday night/ tuesday morning, it is possible that the entire system will be down for us.

If this should happen, just plan on the results being posted tuesday morning.

I doubt we will run into any trouble, however, remember that the site may be down on monday at some point...
That sort of trouble may interfere with you all getting times in.

So be mindful of the site down time and try to work around it. :D

Hey gokents. say the site is still down monday night, and I don't get a chance to submit via PM, is email ok?

Um, hmmm... good question.

Yes, go ahead and send me your time with email if you want.

I can understand if you really want to send your time in at the last second. ;)

In case anyone wonders.
Clicking on my profile will lead you to a page where the gtp provides a link to send me a private message or an email.

Use that since I am not going to post my email openly. :P

Catch you all later, and good luck this week.
