Mr P
Best T2 so far 1.03.9 ............ This car is twitchy :dopey:

I was headed up the hill after turn one and I thought I could still see Mr P's tail-lights in the distance..........
I was wrong.......... it was just the sun.

Nice T2 Mr P. 👍

lol

P hasn't broken that barrier yet. :mischievous:

1'03.9 (tcs off) here too. (can't get close to that with tcs on)

I know there is plenty to come off, so let's see it p. ;)

Don't worry, you know you've got me on that final section. :D

Regarding tcs and asm.
"there are no tcs and asm requirements."

I don't know how to say it much more blatently but I will try.
How about "TCS/ASM optional"?

Wow, just grabbed a squeaky clean lap, great T1 time, but I'm losing masses of time on you guys in sector 2. Was struggling with wheelspin on this one and opted, much to my own disgust to turn on TCS :yuck:

Here's where I stand at the moment.

T1 23.900
T2 1'05.226

:)

Fastest T2 i've gotten today was a 1'03.962, with a nice run on the last part of the track, but i need to work on the beginning half.
:Edit:
With TCS on :grumpy: .. i've been running both, but cant get as fast with it off..

tcs is optional

Has been from the get go.

About tcs on vs tcs off...
I can't get the drift of the twisty section without being able to break traction, tcs wouln't let me do that.
I believe we could all do much better with this exact same car set to tcs level 2. 👍
Too bad arcade is pretty much all or nothing. :irked:

Yeah, I reckon I could control this car easily with TCS on1 or 2 but with none it's too slippery at the back. I was horrified when I had to turn TCS on, but I'm quite pleased with the increased traction it's given me.
T1 - 0'24.367
T2 - 1'06.478
I reckon I can do better I just need to be braver and accelelerate earlier. I think I can pull a 1'05.low or a 1'04.high if I tried. I'm tied up this weekend so I don't think there'll be a huge improvement on my time:grumpy:

Damn it, I just realised we've supposed to do this in a Vertigo, I've been running in an esperante, I can be an idiot sometimes :ouch:

          !!!!!!!!
at Blake !!
I still havent run this yet - I seem to have so little time free nowadays with house stuff and working long hours. I'm going to try get a few laps in this afternoon.

After a couple of sessions I actually managed to get a few clean laps. :D Haven't got a clue though about my T's, as I've only checked them the logger. I have a faster dirty at approx:

24.6
1'07.5

It should be possible for me to make it clean after another 500 laps or so.

BTW. I'm also driving with the TCS on.

Does this car have full downforce? cause it sure doesn't feel like it. I feel a lot of understeer.

My best t1 so far has been 23.7, could've been 23.6 since I don't always look. As for the T2, I'm stuck around 1'05.2-1'05.7

Well now I'm using the right car, idiot, I have worse T times but my final sector is a hell of alot quicker, so all in all a better lap time. When I was chasing my esperante goast (which I loaded for comparison sake) it was funny to see it fly up the hill after turn 1.

Time is in - 24.081 and 1.07.184 TCS and ASM on
Couldnt get to grips with the car at all for some reason, a really poor half hour effort. NEXT !!

fastest T1 23.5xx, but i rarely drive on this track so i am having trouble with lowering my T2 times.

Flat 24 and 1'05.

I hate this car utterly.

Recent fast lap times 24.032 and 1:05.765, but I've gotten my T2 into the 1:05.0xx range before. I just need to find a smoother way through the nouvelle chicane (I think that's it's name).

Does this car remind anyone of the Elise btw?

I've seen 24.0 T1's, but am still WAY off at T2 with no clean lap to my name.

I hate this track..... :banghead:

oh yeah.....100th post :P

Well I'm running out of patience with this one quickly. :irked:

Plus, my entire racing set up has been thrown off thanks to the addition of a new leather recliner. :D

If I'm lucky enough to get something keep-able and clean. I just hope I can match the final time of my 1'03.9... I think I can do it since a good 1'04.3-7 should be able to match the 1'03.9 final time.

Anyway, gotta run, back later tonight though. :D
bye.

I haven't been back to this as I have been playing DRIV3R 👍

My 1st run will be submitted as my last for this week even though I know there's lots left after T1 , Good Luck Guys

btw... my T1 is 23.5

Yep ..... DRIV3R is awesome :sly:

Had another session just this afternoon - didnt run a clean lap in about 1 and 1/2 hours !! I managed a T1 of 23.7

I hate this car - Kent can we like never use this car again !!

Actually, no.
This car will be used again eventually, and if you're having trouble with it: all the better.

This is one of the most important cars in gran turismo 3 for 1 very important reason... (not specifically the arcade version, but the vertigo in general)

The reason I say that is because the vertigo is one of, if not the best handling cars in the game.
http://www.racing-line.org/courseselect.php?SelectedGame=GT3&SelectedCourse=03

Now, of course that is because of arco, but even with that aside, notice that the less powerful and better handling vertigo can take the top spot on the most technical course in the game.

That really is a great car.
Nearly 200hp short on the competition and it still kills. :mischievous:

The vertigo is a great car, flat out, a great car.
Just learn to use it and you will love it one day. ;)

Good luck until then cause it really is a handful. :irked:

I will be back in about an hour or so and until then I am gonna run some laps... back with progress shortly. :D

btw, P, still a great lap you've got there.

I havent been able to improve on my 1'03.962 T2 for the past few days, and im kinda tired of trying.. but i'm sure i'll get a few more laps in before the deadline.
Good racing all...

I'm with Kent on this one, the Vertigo is a seriously underated and much overlooked little machine!

I use it most of the time before I scored the RX-7 LM. Its a great little car.

I've only used it once or twice before, at the monet my car is the Castrol Tom's Supra so hopefully we can use that soon, my time will be in tonight.

Hopefully, next time the car is used, it won't be on a tight track. Understeer :grumpy:

I decided to save my thumbs for other games(Driv3r).
