I just tuned the Nismo 400R but it isnt selectable in arcade mode. However the Nismo R tune is able to be selected. What gives?

Road Car = anything with-out sponsors decals and/or racing numbers.

Mine's and Nismo is not a sponsor decal, so yes, they would be eligible.

Actually it has to do with whether or not it can run in the roadcar only races / racecar only races.

Just tuned a Nismo Gt-R S-tune and came out with 599 hp and a p/w ratio of 2.504

Getting consistent mid 1'05's at this point with a gt-r s tune but theres many seconds to be shaved off.

My little bro is playing Medal of Honor for some reason, so at the moment there is no game time for me. :grumpy:

However, I am gonna go run some stuff and see what can be done with 2 cars.
R tune
Ctr2

:D

Let me atleast try to defend that monster.
If I can't drive it, I will come back and say what everyone else has said.

1 thing though,
If I come back with decent times. :sly:
Ya'll better give that car some respect. :mischievous:

Deal. ?
Good. 👍

Hmm, after looking trough my garage it looks as if my R-Tune has full lightweight, so that car is out of the question for me, but my Nismo 400R should do nicely. Or I could always go for a normal Skyline. I've also got some other interesting cars lined up for trials once I'm done the Dream Car series.

Did a little research. ;)
I'm 90% sure (the RUF made me doubt the others) all cars are broken in and have had oil-changes.
You will of course need to modify each car to suit the rules for this race.
Cars in red are not eligible for this race. (Mine's Skyline might make it with no oil change and no weight reduction)

Man this is a tough choice, power or weight. Also I have to test out some cars. Right now, it looks like the Subaru 22b and Evo VII will do good for me. Unless somebody knows a better handling car; Anybody have a secret weapon?

Great post tuff.

Do us all a favor and pick out some stuff for us that interest you. :D

Back soon, looking forward to it,
Later. :D

I almost submitted my time tonight out of frustration. I've tried the Audi (don't bother), an Evo, an S-Tune, and the CTR2. I tried the CTR2 and rejected it because of the understeer, then found that I got an understeer on all the others too! So back to the CTR b/c my initial times were faster, but it's no fun to drive.

17.740
38.842
1'06.865.

There's much more there but it's so frustrating tiptoeing around corners :(

Great post tuff.

Thanks for the pat on the back everyone. :)

As far as cars that are interesting though, I might not be much help. I haven't driven 95% of those cars.

I would however get a good laugh at someone like MrP beating all of us in the Suzuki! With his speed and the p/w ratio really close, he could probably do it to.

Tip: Everyone likes the "popular", big hp cars, but don't underestimate a lesser hp good handling car at this track. Especially in 4wd class as all the big hp cars have NASTY handling characteristics to try to smooth over. Who knows, that Suzuki could be a wolf in sheeps clothing. ;)

Good luck everyone!

After 5 quick laps in my fully modified celica gt-four (PWR: 2.64x) i am down to a T2 of 1'04.xxx. I am still running stock settings; i like the way this car feels, it sticks to the road quite nicely. i'll try some others and let you all know the results.

I tried a Nismo 400r, Subaru impreza 22b, and a Mitsubishi EVO VII RS.

The 400r got eliminated for me, but the car did feel good.

The 22b feels better and is more consistent, but the Mitsu I think is faster and has better potential.

All were able to manage a low 1'05 and more.

Anybody running a wagon? That would be cool for the first place and fastest replay. 👍

Well I'm going for the Suzuki now.

Well, ran another 33 laps for a grand total of 40 laps in the car; yielding these times:
T1: 0'15.768
T2: 0'36.177
T3: 1'05.032

During the session I was seeing alot of 1'04s for T3, so I know I can shave a couple seconds off it yet.

AngelX,
You're not by chance using the rally car celica are you?
Rally cars are race cars and race cars are not allowed.
Sorry, and if I am mistaken, sorry for that too. :D

I just thought I remembered the rally cars all being in the 2.6pwr area. Well, most of them... evo 6 race, impreza race, 206 race, celica race... all are in the 2.6 pwr range (I think). :D

Anyway, I still haven't had time today.
First it was the bro playing M.O.H.
Then it was me mowing the lawn.
Now it's my bro on gta 3 (which I haven't even started yet, being that I am loving gta vc at the moment).

So yeah, :D
Back later with my work on the two cars of interest (for me).
CTR2
R tuned
-here I come!!!

Thanks for clearing up the rules for me guys. Running a 22B Impreza my best clean lap so far is:

T1-16.096
T2-36.164
T3-1.03.780

The car handles real good through the everywhere except those first few turns at the start of the lap where it feels like it needs a front splitter and wing for a bit more downforce. Sort of lacks grip through there. This track is very cool though. Nice combo Gokents. :)

Edit: Oh and the pwr is 2.581 before being fully broken in. 418bhp at the moment.

Gokents, don't worry i read the rules and am running the right car, i forgot the oil change and its not broken in yet.

Anybody running a wagon? That would be cool for the first place and fastest replay. 👍

Have just tried out the Legacy touring wagon for SAG. No go I'm afraid. Had it running 502HP 1272kg and PWR of 2.533 or so. Fastest T3 I saw after messing with the setup was way back in the 1'07.xxx region. :grumpy:

Working on something else now, run 2 laps, no tuning yet and seeing mid 1'05s looking more promising, I must say! :)

I'm running the CTR2 atm but considering switching considering some of the times I'm seeing posted.

For those struggling with understeer on this car, I have a few suggestions:

Get the variable center differential and set it to 10% front / 90% rear power distribution. You're now close to running a rear-wheel drive car.
Set the rear toe out to about +1.0. Generates some good low speed oversteer without compromising straight line speed too much.

That's all I really had to do in terms of turn in.

0'16.7
0'37.5
1'05.2

Those are roughly my best, there's more to come if I stick with it but I may investigate other options and see what's fastest.

i decided to stick to setting up my car without a vcd so ill see what i can do with my mediocre tuning skills.

I've run some laps in the 1'06.1xx range, but I'm split between whether to run the Evo V GSR, Nismo 500R, or the Celica GT Four.

Updates. :D

Ran with the ctr2 down to 1'03.6
Ran with the R tuned nismo down to 1'03.2

:mischievous:

Now who said the ctr was a waste?
Sure, it's not the best, but it's no slacker either. :D

Also, Hotrod_269, :D
Mind if I ask what kind of car you're using.
418hp puts you in one light car.
What could it be?

:D
btw, I really don't know what it is. :)

Plus, at the moment I am looking for a good lightweight car to run with.
Some under 1300kg.

So yeah, catch you guys a little later after I get to put in some real time...

The above laps came with about 40-50 miles in the ctr, then after that I did about 10 minutes worth of work on the r tuned.
Trust me, there is plenty to come off that r tuned time. :mischievous:

Till next time,
-

Its a Impreza WRX STi 22B. I had it fully modded, but I detuned it a bit, No turbo upgrades and a sports intercooler (i think) is the only difference between fully tuned and the car I'm running. And its lightened as much as possible.

I had a decent go with the R32 GTR S-Tune with a pwr of 2.501 fully broken in, but it handles horribly compared to the impreza and can't get it below 1.04.xxx.

Some quick times there Gokents, unfortunately I don't have a R tuned skyline, one of the cars that seems to avoid me :guilty:.

Oh well, might go play a bit of GT now.
