The jump at the end of the long "straight" where you're at about your top speed for the lap?

No brakes there. Lift off gas, shift to 4, lift off gas some more, shift to 3, lift off gas some more and turn hard.

I dunno if I'm doing this eggzactly right, but that's what I'm doing. :)

Thanks. :) Yes, that's the one I mean. I have been trying without breaks and slams HARD into the wall. Gotta try it with your teggnique. :D

You slamming the wall on the right before the 180º? iF that's the case, you're taking the jump too far to the right. You want to be near the left edge and turned slightly left upon lift-off. :D

Nope. I am near the left edge before the turn. I slam the left wall, after the turn, because I got to much speed through the 180 degrees.
Just tried it your way a couple of times. It's doable, but far from easy. :D I'm off to bed now, so I'll keep working on it tomorrow.

Hmm, I've got the line over the jump fine, but I've been using the brakes a few times around the circuit, more fool me.

Just spent a while trying to improve my times on the area before T1 and only managed a 27.1xx. Best save has a 59.9xx seen a few 59.7xx and one 59.6xx. Just a little bit left for me but not much more. If I could get the area before T1 down well I would be in the low 59's but i can't seem to improve there.

I'm getting pwned by a div 3 guy again =/ I'm completely incapable of beating 1'00.5 for a T2, I don't understand it to be honest, I'm only a few tenths behind at T1 and then suddenly I'm over 2 seconds behind - on a straight! I could understand it through a series of hairpins but I'm just completely stumped for how to get some more speed out of this thing.

That turn before the last straight can be a killer, you have to try to carry as much speed out of it as you can. Most times I dont take it full throttle rather at half throttle. It seems to give you a smoother line and a higher exit speed. As for me having lower times than you all i can say is that I've really worked hard on this one and have consistently improved my times. Good luck and im sure youll find some more time.

Am I in the WRS or not?    I've sent several pm's to Kents but not any answer.Sorry for this complaining guys,I'm just somebody who hasn't patience.

Yes, the WRS is open to everyone. If you sent your Qualifying time to Kent, you are in. No need to get worried, Kent is a busy man. Just start running this week's race, and send in your time for it by the deadline.

Everything will work itself out. :)

BTW, welcome to GTP and the WRS! 👍

So,even if he don't respond to my qualifying time I'm allowed to submit times???I thought that wasn't possible,I was beginning to wurry.

(The following is true for most rally races, especially this one)

Anywhere you are using the brakes, stop! Use throttle-control instead. I think the only place I'm braking is at Turn 1.

I have 3 braking points throughout the lap .. Turn 1 / Turn 2 and the Turn just before T2 :)

maybe I should try the 1 braking point also 👍 cheers for the tip ;)

With no idea if I'm in or not, this is my best lap so far:

T1:29.029
T2:1.04.110

Race some laps tommorow,I'm not really used to the car and the rally circuit.

I've been trying eggmanns 1 brake point strategy. I find it very difficult to adapt to it and gain time from it. :boggled:

I think it's very interesting that top racers like eggmann, GT3mich and Mr P use different strategies and, I assume, therefore also lines. Makes me believe that I'm better off staying with my original strategy and concentrate of refining my driving and lines, with inspiration from these gentlemens ideas, rather than force a radical change in my driving style. :)

Woah! You guys are fast!!!That's a total lap time of 6 seconds faster then mine!!!You must be a Div.1 driver.

But how are you guys going into the first three turns? The first I take in 3rd,turn 2 in 3rd and turn 3 in very low 3rd to high 2nd.

Here's a small mpeg of my driving line from the Start line to T1 Hope it helps ;)

Actually im in D3 . But I do work hard to get the best time when I race, as should you. It takes quite a few laps and hours put in to get your times down there with the big dogs. Sooner or later youll get a car/track combo that suits you well and you will get a very good time. Just keep working and I can guarantee you will become better as a racer.

Edit: Thanks a lot for the vid Mr. P 👍. Better watch out for me now:lol:. J/k man I know i could never beat you.

It's been a while since I ran in the weekly. This one is just too much fun to pass up. Good to see some familiar faces still around :D

27.2 / 1:00.3 so far ... I can't see where I'm leaving 1.5 secs ... yet :mischievous:

Time submitted. I've got a plane to catch....
Have fun in Week 76 and I'll see you in Week 77!

T1 27.289
T2 1'00.902

I suck like an old lady with no teeth, sucking a tootsie-pop, pushing a super-deluxe, triple-bag easy-glide vac with turbo-suction and a self-emptying dustbag, which has an octopus suckered onto it, at rallies!

Finished everything that I needed to do before my hols and now have an hour to give this a shot before bed, should be interesting to see what I can get in the hour :)

Damn, I wish I had more time because that was fun :)

Had a much quicker dirty time but here is my T's for the clean lap

T1 0'27.007
T2 0'59.557

submitting time now

Good luck all, sorry I couldn't compete on this one

Not really man, there are probably three or four D1 guys already a second ahead of me at
T2 and most likely even more at the finish line. These guys are incredible. But thanks for the compliment, and wait until you see those results 👍.

In fact, only 1 racer found out that there was going to be a rally, and in true sportsman form, he didn't ask where it would be or what car it would be in. 👍
You mentioned me Kent :)

I am so taking a run at this if I can, still haven't got arcade mode cleared on the game I started right before my brother took the only working PS2 in the house with him, thank Kaz he's coming back for the weekend. Oh and I'm not just looking forward to his PS2, it's just the only thing on topic here ;)
