Good luck Mudslinger! 👍

Some T times to keep Mr P honest;)

Nice 👍

26.7 / 58.8 :sly:

still on PAL/DS2 will boot the NTSC up now as we have quite a gathering here! :)

.. Fear my momo and chipped console :scared:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

An hour of work and now i have a 1:00.062 T2. Still a little room to improve but i dont think i will be getting much more. Fun race though, I love this track.

...Wow, 3 seconds off the pace already eh? I'm gonna have to shave and get into this then if I'm gonna have any hope of breaking my Jenson Button streak and not finishing 8th.

I don't know where I am losing a whole 2 seconds on Mr. P. There doesn't seem to be a corner where you can lose that much time. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Bout time you got back into it, almost thought that Lotus debacle had robbed us of getting whipped by you.

0'28.287
1'01.870

Just watching the replay, am I the only one who thinks the car looks horribly boxy? Belongs back in the PS1 days... Ugh the dust is coming from in front of the car where the wheels just aren't... This is terrible.
Yeah, the car looks terrible, probably accurate, but terrible. More laps will be ran tonight...

@Kent -- You say the suggestions will make a difference but you also said you had this picked out since last week;)

Sorry, couldn't help pointing that out.

Simply explained...

This week was picked out based on my decision that I formed a week ago.
Other weeks I wait to decide on a race until the night it is posted.

However, I always consult the suggestions thread.

One week the race may be straight out of the thread from only an hour before the deadline.
Another week it could be straight out of the thread, only from 3 weeks back. ;)

May I remind you of this page in the suggestions thread.
So obviously I listen. 👍

But hey, if that's not enough for you. :scared:
Not to worry, I know that you mean no harm. ;)

Till a little later in the week,

Oh haha Kent;). When you said to refer to that page I didn't know what to expect...then I got it thrown back at me, lmao.

Oh well, I deseved that:lol:

Anyway, as you said, no harm done.

Is there a reason for revealing your sector times or can't you keep a secret?

We just do it so we can see how we're all stacking up so far, who's driving a Fiat Panda by mistake and who's turned an Escort into a Ferrari. There's no obligation to post them, it's just an individual choice.

Another hour of work and i got my T2 below the 1 minute mark to 59.8xx. Still about .5 left for me I think.

Damn I suck at Rallies! 👎

I suck worse than a
"Super-deluxe vacuum cleaner, a triple-bag, easy-glide vac with turbo suction and a self-emptying dustbag!"

So far, only clean lap out of 20 has

T1 27.679
T2 1'01.435.

Mucho practice needed before Friday methinks.....

I think the area before T1 is the key to the whole lap. The first turn is especially important, and i have found the braking early, letting off the brake, turning in as close to the inside as possible, and accelerating out. The next succesive turns give me some trouble and the best i've managed is a 27.0xx, while many are getting below that. If i can get that area down i think i can compete well this week.

Nah, I'm much worse. My best T2 is in the low 1'02.xxx range... I have much ground to make up.

T1: 0'27.749
T2: 1'01.231

Where I'm going to find 2 more seconds I don't know, but I've found 1.6 so far today 👍

Hmmmmmm... is the only way to get your sector time to write it down during the lap or can you find it after somehow?

My best laps I am getting 1:01's for T2. It's a tough track and i haven't done much rallying, I think i can still do better.

Do you save your session best lap replay? If not - you should be ;) It is in the rules after all, but once you've got that saved, you can load that into the Replay Theatre and write down the times from there.

You should write it down in your memory. :sly:

Or watch the replay as I do.

When I'm on a good lap, I usually look at the bottom half of the screen when the t times come up, so I don't raise my blood pressure.

I have no way to upload my replays so I don't save them :indiff:

I always miss the sector times when they first appear because im too busy watching the road and tach. My memory isn't good enough to remember 11 digits without risk of mixing them up! But maybe im just a 'tard.

or maybe your time's are embarassingly slow like mine kekeke
i got 1:04:xxxx at the t2 lol i hate being a n00b on rally stages

Just because you can't upload your replay doesn't excuse you from saving your replay. If you submit a time it must be saved on your memory card. If its not saved, don't submit a time. The sector data in the analyzer is helpfull to prove your time in case there is a problem. Also, you need to review the replay to be sure the run is 100% clean.
No improvement in my race yet.

Ran a few at last on the Momo (NTSC)

26.6 / 58.6 👍 seen 26.5 T1 not an awful lot left ...

I'll get back to it over the weekend ;)

Good Luck Gents :sly:

Any tips would be much appreciated.
(The following is true for most rally races, especially this one)

Anywhere you are using the brakes, stop! Use throttle-control instead. I think the only place I'm braking is at Turn 1.

That is the best tip so far. And just a tap on those brakes at Turn 1 to keep you off the far wall. Also, at turn 2 if you lift off the gas a little it will leave the car in a better position for taking turn 3 and 4 a bit faster.

Eggmann, GT3mich. I'm also breaking at the first turn after the jump. Are you not?

BTW I'm at 59.930 now.
