Beru gets it. He is just presenting a suggestion to include T times in the final submission. He said twice that he was just using Icemanshooter's times as a hypothetical example, not for any other reason than to illustrate his point.

I know it's a double post, but I added a week 77 T2 leaderboard on my website also.
It is here: http://www.tuff240.com/week77.htm

After looking at some peoples T2 times on eggmans leaderboard, there is a large difference with their finishing times.

Most noteabley Darin's as he went from last on the T2 board to 2nd overall and 1st in class.
What was your submitted T2 time Darin? (I remember you saying your posted T2 wasn't your fastest.)

Icemanshooter and rollazn also made up a lot of positions as well.
Curious to know your real T2 times. (Sector times would be even better. ;) )

I can't confirm that, i'm sorry. I didn't even know what lap I did it on. But I did about 40 laps in free run before I noticed I pulled the time.

Well I can't upload files with .sps or .max extensions, so I zipped them together. Attachment contains NTSC Sharkport and MaxDrive files.
Thanks Eggman, but I'm using a Pal version of the game, so .sps files won't be of any help. Sorry.

Concerning the speed at T2, I reach a minimum of 92 km/h in the tunnel, than I'm at about 125 km/h in the left-hander. (Higher speed carries the car too wide and I cut in the grass in the next right curve).

I saw the "example" but nowhere does it state that it was an hypothetical example, there is a difference between the two, but whatever, I'm cool.

Sadly for me university work, my birthday and a subsequent rebuild of my computer stole away most of my week leaving me no time to run nor a chance to submit my only time that would have netted me last place out of every racer, so perhaps fate was with me after all.

I'll be back in for 78 once I knock over one or two more assignments. Kudos to everyone for some incredible close racing and impressive times.

So what you are saying is you have the 3rd fastest time overall (fastest in class), you ran it in a 40 lap session, you don't even remember running the lap AND you didn't save it?

Nah - I don't save replays much. Nor do I care for them.

But if you noticed. Read the first post. Personally, I thought I lost. I just decreased my previous time by .2XX.
So, I thought you guys would be doing 1'17's and 1'18's.

OK, I just want to re-iterate something very important.

You are to save and keep your submitted lap replay this week and every week.

After all of this, I am worried that I may have to create a sticky thread regarding the rules of the WRS.

I don't feel like doing that, but it seems to be a must at this point.

Plan on seeing something like this soon.

But in the mean time.

Remember.
Save your submitted lap replay every single week.

That's why I drive so slow - saves you the pain of being torn apart by an angry mob claiming you're a liar ;)

(Makaveli2K3 springs to mind - W17 if I recall correct)

Just so you know, that is the very reason he never came back... not because of the insult of being asked to verify times, but because he had eventually admitted to cheating.

I remember it well since Mr P and I took 2 & 3 place overall thanks to his little trial mountain II stunt (was in a racer's choice week where the speed 6 was the best).

Don't know about the week... 17 maybe, could have been 32 for all I know.

Just remember the circumstances, not that stats. ;)

This should also serve as a reminder that as long as any one is playing in a large scale racing league, they should always plan on actually having to support their times in the case of any possible incidents.

Remember that being called into question is not a direct insult on a person's character; it is actually a means of recognizing an excellent racer's performance and then evaluating the racer's worthiness of praise.

Or it can be a personal insult. ;)

I hope everyone tries to keep all of this in mind the next time they are asked about the specifics of a great lap (then again, that's why keeping replays has been a standard rule from the start).

What I don't understand is if you run 40 laps without a save, how do you know all of them are clean(esp. the best one)?

Kent, I was there, remember

And I just did a little digging, 'Twas in fact Week 17 ;)

I am sadened by the fact that out of the division winners this week MrP was the only driver willing to post a replay/video of his win.

I am aware that some here don't have the abilty to do this but there is always the anayliser data, right?.
Posting a replay, video or data when winning a race isn't just for the purpose of proving your time, far from it, because thats not the point, and one I'm not trying to make.
IMO it more to do with allowing other drivers who have spent hours on a race to view and analyse exactly where time was lost and gained for the purpose of learning more about this great game. That said however, I do believe most strongly that its simply a matter of courtesy to do so.

As an example; if it wasn't for MrP posting his replay I would still be here scracthing my head wondering where I went wrong in this race, thanks mate 👍

Now on to Darin,
rules are rules right? Without them chaos is king and this is exactly what happened this week.
This is not the first time Darin has encountered a problem regarding his lack of replays within the GT community and to blantantly flout the rules again over the same issue is, well, unbeliveable to put it mildly.

For me Darin's times this week are worth jack and don't deserve to be placed above other drivers who take the time to follow the rules by the letter, but thats just my opinion

Speaking my mind as usual and more often than not resulting in offending someone, but I'm afraid thats just the way I am, soz.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my NTSC X-port replay would be available in a couple days (maybe I did?). I know I mentioned to you Sphinx that I had to take my personal PC to work for a bit and that is the reason I have not had access to my x-port.

Well it's still here at work, but today I brought my PS2 with me so that I could do some x-port stuff after I get off the clock (around 6pm). One of the replays I need to transfer is week 77 replay. So mine should be up in about 2 hours as long as my PS2 didn't melt in my car at these 100 degree temps we are having.

No worries tuff240, my post wasn't aimed at you.
I've got a load of replays to upload right now so I may as well upload my replay for this one whilst I'm at it.

Here you go

I'm not gonna argue with you or anyone.

But I didn't prove my sectors - so, to you and everyone else, it seems like I cheated.

So, kent. If you choose - Go ahead and give rollazn the win and disqualify me for not putting me sectors.
I didn't save the replay.
So its more a shame on me than anything.

So, Kent, its your choice.

Didn't say you were cheating and I haven't noticed anyone else saying it either to be honest. I'm just fed up with people like you who blatantly make a mockery of the rules even though you are fully aware of the them, and for what exactly, just because you "don't care much" for something that is essential in OLR?? Enlighten me with your justification in breaking the rules with such contempt, perhaps I’ll learn something?

Read again. I've said what I had to say.

But i'll say it again.

I didn't prove my sectors. Apparently I see that as the root to a few of ya'll complains.
So - since I didn't do that. Just disqualify me anyway. I'm not gonna argue.

No you read again
My gripe with you is NOT about you proving your times, its to do with YOU not following RULES

You don't have to tell me, or even talk to me. I've talked to GoKents about this already.

YOU are not GoKents. So lay off.

I've already corrected myself.

If you wish to argue with no one, please continue.

OK I'll "lay off" but only until you decide not to "care much" for something again and again.
