Can't let Kelly and Dann have all the fun.
T1/ 29.551
T2/ 1:03.720
Lap is clean and saved. It is very easy to have a good run going just to throw it all away on that damn last left corner. :banghead: Thats it for me for a while. I'll keep an eye on this though. :mischievous:

This means WAR!! :mischievous:

Got a Camaro now.
Initial times
T1 : 30.674
T2 : 1:06.246 (how cool is it getting a split with the name of the course in it?
:dopey: )

Setup:
SR : 15.4/13.8
RH : 60/65
DB : 4/6
DR : 5/7
Cam:2/2
Toe:0/0
Stab:3/5
BB : 18/13
D/F:1/1.05
Tcs : 3 (ASM:0)
LSDi : 8
LSDa : 38
LSDd : 12

Still no clean fast lap, but I am picking up speed. Best Ts of 30.4/1'05.4

I've given up on my own setup and I'm using Kel's (except for LSD and stabilizer settings). Anyone else finding it faster to drift through the first corner?

Nice work mich. 👍

As for me,
1'04.6

Or something like that

Have only run the combo once and it felt pretty good.
Actually, it was interesting because of the fact that I was taking major time off with each lap.

I love races where you just keep shaving your lap time down no matter how many times you try.

I figure that with another session 1'04.0 might be in my future, but at the moment I am only guessing and hoping. :D

Back later when I get the chance to run some more, but in the mean time I want to wish you all luck and remind you to keep at it.

Later. :D

Ran more laps while I was half asleep

No improvement on the T2, but I have run identical T1s of 30.152, which is my fastest yet, so there is tons of speed out there for me to find.

Also did an oil change, hp appears to max out at a stout 993.

OK, Kel. I'll see your lap and I'll raise you

29.246 - I've got the track name too :D
1'03.974

I aced it up to T1 but lost some time in the big 180degree left hander.

I'll get Mich later :D

EDIT: Just noticed that's 3 tenths ahead of Mich to T1

Tuff, Can we have a T1 leaderboard this week? :D

I'll stick for now Daan, not really in the mood for racing tonight :( I won't forget about it though, so you can bet...I'll be back :mischievous:

Nice going btw 👍

Nice driving Daan. Shouldn't you be getting ready for the Board Challenge :P
I guess I need to shave off .3 seconds at T1 :mischievous:

Using my settings!! I do try but I'm pretty crap at setting up :embarrassed: something is not quite right with them gears :(

If it has helped you improve your time then cool! glad to have helped 👍

Leaderboard updated.

Sorry daan, nice try though. Future advice for being on top of the leaderboard would be to offer a bribe. I'm not above taking some cash.

I spent the morning running some setup laps.
These were the best for me:

12.0/12.0
60/65
10/10
10/10
3.0/2.0
0.0/0.0
5/4

14/24

5/50/60
2.989
2.101
1.554
1.213
1.009
0.864
3.500
Auto24

DF Max
ASM 0
TCS 1

Provisional PB splits:
29.092
63.665

Different laps. This leads me to think that a 63.3xx is there.

If you've run your thumbs raw and have gotten the most out of your current setup, give these a try.
Unless, of course, you're doing low 3, high 2, already. If so, disregard. :dopey: :D

This weekend I'll be at the Giants/Dodgers games, so today and Monday are my only chances.
I hope their pen performs better than they did last night.

T1 = 30.9
T2 = 1'07.0
after 10 more laps, and lots of improvement expected.

The only problem is I started a new MGS2 Substance game, and it takes a huge part of my free time :guilty:

*Update:New T2 at 1:08.612.Still strugling with that double left.Improvements expected altough it won't gonna be much better.

After a week of 12 hour days on the j-o-b....and a night of laying motionless in the bed recuperating, I think I'm ready to hit the track again. Nice close racing last week at G.V.....enjoyed rubbin' paint with all of you's :)

This Tokyo II is not my best direction on this track.....I'm still brooding over the last time here in a maxed-out S2000 LM following Daan, Oliver DePlace, and many other notables around like a lost puppy.

I expect another spanking here with this Camaro....but, I'll do my best nevertheless.

Well, enough small talk.....my mechanics are telling me that the car is ready for a couple of shakedown laps....."Let's do this thing!"

Edit: I peel off into the pits after the intial set-up and a handful of laps.....

T-1 = 30.1's
T-2 = 1:04.8's

Lots of refinement is needed, although the Camaro handles fairly predictably with my current sets. I need to spead the gears out just a little to suit the track and the rest will hopefully come with more track time.

"....just listen, Bubba....down on the front bar, down on the front springs, up on the rears, down on the rear camber, up at the front....less front ride height ....and....uh.... Well, just do that for me!"

"Okay.....you're the "big time 'know-it-all' driver".....whatever you say".

".....just listen, Bubba....down on the smart mouth and up on turnin' wrenches!"

After going back out on the track with the fresh set-up, and within 4 laps.....

T-1's @ 29.5's
T-2's @ 1:04.1's

...not great, but it's an improvement.....we'll take it! :)

Edit: The best clean lap so far contains:

T-1 = 29.395
T-2 =1:03.800

Still struggling to get a good smooth rhythm through all the turns....still kind of jerky

Man,I cannot get past the 1:08.000 line,I'm making some rules for myself:

Not getting past the 1:08.000 line=not submit time.(then I'm able to push harder)

Wow, back from Boston last night and sat down to have a go at posting some kind of respectable time on this in the next 2 days, before flying off again!

Added the NA stage 2 and Super-Softs to my Camaro race car, 993HP now.
Tried a couple of laps with my original setup, couldn't break 1'08. :scared:
Dialed in ODP's setup and instantly dropped into the 1'05.9s! ODP!

Now with a couple of minor tweaks to that setup to suit my own driving style, I have a clean T1 30.1xx and T2 1'05.3xx saved.

Going to keep at it, there's lots to be had here and there's still parts of the track where I'm positive I'm not on the optimum line, lots of left foot breaking (well, OK, top of thumb breaking, since I'm on a DS2!!!) to avoid scraping the walls out a couple of bends.

Had a look at Tuff240's leaderboard, its curious how there's 3 distinct divisional bands this week, unlike previous weeks when there's been D2 and D3 racers posting times that sprinkle through the D1 racers. Wonder whether its the track or the high powered vehicle that makes the difference? I may shortly become the exception to this rule so far, as I'm at the back of the D1 pack and will most likely be the 1st D1 racer to slip into the yellow area!

T2 now at 1:08.451,still isn't better.I like this car very much but I just can't find a way to drag it trough a 100% clean lap.I will be looking forward what brings up tomorrow.

new times, and managed to maintain it into the last sector as well. I think I might have a bit more to come.Which is surprising, cos I normally am not great at Tokyo (although that is mainly in the other direction)
T1 : 30.361
T2 : 1:05.296

Nice time, mark. Looks like a podium for you this week. 👍

I'm now at:

30.708
1'06.554

Still some time out there, but I'm not sure, if I've got the patience to get it. I am not to fond of this combo. To narrow and to much power for my taste and driving abilities. It's been fun till now, but I fear chasing the next second will cause a lot of frustration. :D

Hi guys! Just letting you all know that I'll be dropping in from time to time. Just looking for a friendly race, ya know. Some of you know me, some don't, but most recently I've been in UB57's spot races and the name Godzilla caught my eye, soz I HAD to see what was up there! :)

I spent a little time earlier in the week getting a basic settup, then some more time yesterday getting a clean one (or two) in the bank. The track does feel narrower in this direction, or the car is wider, than the original Godzilla spotty. Makes it tough to get a fast and clean lap in!

One thing I did find yesterday is that the Camaro will turn a little better with a slightly softer settup than what I had on previously. My SR was around 12/14 with DB at 9/10 and DR at 10/9. Now I have SR in the range of 12/15, and DB of 8/7 and DR at 7/6. Still playing with the Stabs, but around 3/5 feels good. This thing still pushes no matter what I do, just gotta learn to live with it I guess.

ATM, my splits are 29.182/ 1'03.053 with a 1'02.8xx as best.

Leaderboard updated.

Sorry everyone, I've been busy with the Torc race and I didn't receive a topic reply notification.

I just accidentally deleted my replay also. :ouch:
Ran a few laps and got within 4 tenths of my old time. I'll give it another go before the deadline I'm sure.

*Edit- New run for me that is a little faster than my erased one.
