Had a session this morning. Like all others here, had many runs trashed by small touch!
Finally achieved this, keeping clear of walls, invisible or otherwise.
38.078/1:02.848
28.917/53.642
28.981/53.729
(Total T2's = 2:50.219 [according to Excel])

t2 1'02.973
t2 53.426
t2 53.978 :nervous:
Last section,in particular the tunnel,is very hard to maintain speed.I'm still losing time there.

jadaman
lap1 t1 0,37.937 t2 1,03.058
lap2 t1 0,28.886 t2 0,53.853
lap3 t1 0,29.925 t2 0,53.801
its not an easy combo :indiff: :indiff:
How did you gain .05 on T2 in the second lap but with a whole second slower t1? Looks like a typo to me, but just checkin 👍.

New best at :
38.512 - 1'03.490 👎
28.915 - 53.604 👍
29.274 - 54.059 👎

which gives a total T2 of 2'51.153.
I expect a 2'50.5 by the deadline.

I've ran a 28.550 --> 51.950 on a hotlap for a sector time of 23.4, so it's entirely possible. In fact he probably still left .400 or more in that sector, unless my math is wrong.:dopey:

Alright, just checking, because it seemed like such a large time gain.

I'm now 3 tenths past my overall goal and will most likely stop there unless someone in D2 passes me. Had a so-so finish to lap 1, a good lap 2 and my fastest ever flying lap on lap 3. I can shave another .5 off my 1st lap overall time, but running the 2nd and 3rd laps to match what I have now will be tuff.

My splits are on the leaderboard.

1'02.948
54.196
54.298

All in all: 2'51.442

Still way behind, flat-out. :grumpy: I'll give it one last shot tomorrow, but doubt I'll do much better.

Funny thing is I really like this combo and I feel fast. :dopey: You guys splits tells me different, so I am looking forward to see some replays this week, so I can see, where I lose all that time.

Nice splits Tuff, passed me up on the leaderboard 👍.

Edit: Did a few laps and saw 1:02.112, 53.212, 53.678. Last lap ruined a great run. Hope to get some more time with this one.

The best places to lose time are the left/right/left before T1 (on my best laps I don't go below 96 km/h) and the double left-hander after T1, where 150 km/h is what I try to achieve.

@Tuff : Jadaman has been promoted to div 1 but he still appears in green on your leaderboard.

My final time:

37.611 / 1'01.968
28.573 / 52.840
28.528 / 53.130

I lost quite a bit of time in the last lap, but I'm satisfied with this run. My lap 2 was the best flying lap I've seen so far.

Time submitted. 👍

Awesome splits Tomski:bowdown:
I can't get that consistant yet with this combo. Maybe by tomorrow night, but probably not quite that fast:tup:

I did manage to take a bit off my time and met one of my goals, but my ultimate goal has not yet been met. My thumbs are starting to get tender:ouch:

Edit: Here's my current splits for Tuff's Leaderboard:

37.771 / 1.02.399
28.764 / 53.084
28.854 / 53.137

T2 total : 2:48.620

My T2's sucked on all 3 laps but I made up for it from T1-T2, I was really hauling thru there tonight. When I was practicing I ran a 28.5 / 52.650! That will probably never happen again:lol: Also saw a T1 of 28.3 once. I just haven't got it all together yet:grumpy:

iceman you are right it was a typo 28.925 was the right time thanks 👍

www.gtonline.nl ilink meeting

Who is that guy who drives in third person with a D-pad?
Must be a rookie.  Oh now I see it,it's me ;)
Nice pics,jadaman.

Just gave it a go for the first time. Will hopefully improve by the deadline!

1. 38.195 / 1'03.242
2. 28.940 / 53.984
3. 29.003 / 53.969

EDIT:

1. 38.038 / 1'02.898
2. 28.972 / 53.441
3. 28.898 / 53.351

Finally ... progress! I put in about 4 hours on this today. I was starting to wonder if I'd ever get a save that was clean AND fast :D I love this combo ... it'd be a killer hot lap race, too.

Best clean save:
37.591 / 1'01'959
29.000 / 53.593 :(
28.862 / 53.206

Which works out to: 2'48.760 (I think).

The first lap is a personal best, overall, the other two are mediocre, both with bad first sectors :grumpy: , but I did manage to meet my original goal. If this were a hot lap, I'd say there's a lot left in it, but I don't know if I can get a faster clean save.

My personal bests are (from various laps):
37.504 / 1'01.7xx
28.54x / 52.969

So if I do the math, I'd say there's at least 1.000 left on track at my current pace.

It's going to be interesting to see how the last sector plays out ... that right hairpin is tricky :mischievous:

I agree, the T2's for this track are a little deceptive as there is a LOT of time to be made up or lost after T2. It will be interesting to see everyone's final time.

Nice run you got there Luxy, Your math was a touch off and you have the same exact T2 total as GT3mich. I listed him before you because... 1) he ran it first... 2) he's in D1.
I bet I can guess who the next person moving up to D1 is going to be. ;)

Leaderboard current to this post.

On a side note, I bought a Driving Force Pro last night and got about 2 hours into trying to get used to it. It's tough to get used to at first, but I think in the long run I will be noticeable quicker (partially due to switching to manual trans). If someone is thinking about buying one.... 👍 and I was VERY skeptical as I had tried a wheel when GT3 first came out and absolutely hated it.

Done for me this week

37.991 / 1'02.759
29.078 / 54.309
29.282 / 54.122

Time submitted.

I don't know if will obtains some "dymanic" points with this times, great work flat-out 👍

I want give thanks to Tuff too for the leaderboard 👍 (although this week I see me very low)

And to Kent for maintain a endless series of interesting weekly races 👍

Time submitted. No improvements.

I'll second Barbols thanks and thumbs ups. Great work, guys. 👍

See you next week. :)

Great times coming in guys! :) I feel like running again, but I already submitted my time. :irked:
And besides that, I don't think I can ever beat my lap 2 time.
Great first lap sectors Luxy, you made some nice improvements. 👍

My time for submission is as follows:
38.321/1:02.990 (have seen 1:02.5x)
28.905/53.559
29.066/53.896
I might've eased off slightly towards the end of lap 3, to get a CLEAN save.(2:50.445 according to excel - slightly slower in splits, but a faster overall time)

:) thanks tuff. Actually, it was your splits I was chasing last night. You posted quick ones early in the week, which made me keep on pushing 👍

Thanks, Tomski. I'm still a bit frustrated, as I can literally see where all the time is going down the toilet in the replay (a little wide in turn 1, and too careful in turn 2), but like you, I don't think I'd be able to match my first lap again :scared:.

Very nice T2 on your second lap, BTW. Once this is all over, I'd really like to know what your second lap time was. :)

FWIW, here's what I'd say is most important:
staying as tight as possible to the inside on turn 1, a little bit of sliding is ok, and be up into third as you come onto the short straight.

not slowing down too much for turn 2 (probably the easiest way to loose time). Some sliding is ok, as long as you're on the gas early. Staying tight to the apex is crucial. Upshift into 3rd well before the last left onto the straight.

in the hairpin, stay left on the entry, break hard down to 2nd, then let off until the car comes around, taking a late apex line, and hard on the gas, staying in 2nd gear.

on the uphill chicane before T2, not sliding at all (it kills you on the long, flat out run after T2). It can be done full throttle, without sliding.

In the last hairpin, not apexing to early on the left jog, braking down to second and staying very tight to the inside (on the rumble strip), then getting on the gas as early as possible. Avoiding a slide at all costs.

For the final turn, staying tight to the inside, letting off partway through. Minimum speed, 85/86mph, and cross the line at 115mph.

I finally met my goal last night, so I'm done, time submitted. Still lots of time to be had, but this run I saved is finally very consistant, resulting in a decent total.

37.865 / 1:02.246
28.850 / 53.172
28.685 / 53.128

T2 total: 2:48.546

None of my splits are very exicting compared to my best hotlap, mostly due to the poor T1's, but that's as much as I could do without a wall touch for 3 in a row.:irked: Nice runs everyone, this was a tough one for sure. See you all on the results page tomorrow:cheers:

Very nice write up, Luxy. 👍 Unfortunately a little late for me, but otherwise I think it would have helped me shave of some time a couple of places. :)

Had another go. Improved my overall time by quite some margin so I'm happy. Still hundreths to be found in there though!!

37.666 / 1'02.142
28.588 / 53.513
28.792 / 53.192

EDIT:

Sorry for the second edit of this thread (!), just improved again. I don't think it's enough for top spot but hopefully I'll be in the top 3 or 4.

37.542 / 1'02.008
28.515 / 53.115
28.707 / 53.023

I loved this combo. The NSX is a fantastic car to drive on the limit especially on this track. Shame I lose my nerve in the 1st sector of the last lap though!

I don't know if i can allready participate but here are my times...

T1 / T2
37.514 / 1'01.796
28.621 / 52.862
28.682 / 52.973

I think these are good times but my last 3rd of the lap is not so good....

^ Wow! very nice T times. I've seen your name at the stop of many GT4 Prolouge license records, and I had a feeling you would be fast. Welcome to the Weekly 👍.
