Looks like this could be a good one. Nice choice on the low power. On a side note, where's the title? Week 88:.......;)

Edit: I see it now, just a little late in coming 👍.

As I'm new to WRS (my 1st week), and the last two weeks I've watched you've used 'ARCADE' cars which cannot be 'fine-tuned' as in ride height, camber etc... I have a question...

I've just brought a Evo V GSR and fitted all the allowable bits, do we run the car with standard 'default' settings or are we allowed to 'fine-tune' the car???

Thnx.

This will be my first WRS in Seattle...

There are parts where the car can be on (fits with 4 wheels) the pavement behind the kerbs.

Legal, if the wall is not touched???

I wondered that as well, but I concluded (IMO), where it's on the inside of a corner, it breaks Rule 4 : No short cutting. If it's on the outside of a corner, then it breaks the WRS rule of 1. You must have 2 tires on the track at all times., and as the ripple strips define the tracks edge, being past them but not touching wall, breaks this rule.

Are these conclusions correct GoKents???

On Seattle Circuit, there's also the "sidewalk" parts, they are also considered part of the track. So it's okay if you drive over them, just don't touch any walls.

Week 88 leaderboard is up. 👍
I drove 33 miles to start the break in on my beautiful new black EVO V and get used to my new wheel with this combo. Starting to get a little comfortable with the wheel now and like it more and more everytime I turn GT3 on (it is all I will use until I get completely use to it).

My best clean lap is on the leaderboard waiting to be destroyed by the D2 regulars. Hopefully I'll be able to somewhat keep up with them this week. :scared:

EDIT: 57.5 miles now. :D

I'll join you, it is always scary to be the first to put T's up

32.445 ~ 1.16.425

Edit: fine tuning the car and getting to know the track:

31.9 ~ 1.15.5

Oh, and can someone remove those railways? By back hurts when being thrown sideways from them :ouch:

Worked at a couple of settings... in the process of trying to correct a run with one touch in between 1st and 2nd split :(

T1 - 31.808 (best 31.710)
T2 - 1.14.849

I still can get time outta last sector, on the run I'm trying to fix ;)

Well,
Actually hellnback,
You assumed wrong. :D :lol:

Tomski has it right.
On this track you just need to avoid the walls and follow the normal olr rules.
The shortcutting comes into play if you run through the pit lane instead of taking the final turn. Big No No! :lol:

Also hellnback,
Looks like you're gonna be in division 1 and up for scrutiny. :D
Consider it a compliment because you have already posted a great time. ;)

I will hopefully be able to run this a bit, but at the moment school has most of my time so we will just have to wait and see.

Until then just remember to keep it clean and tune it right.

Also, if any of you guys with a great setup want to help the slower folks please do. It can be hard to tune a 4wd car and I am sure everyone would appreciate the help. (I will come forward with settings when I get the chance to set something up :D )

Oh and finally,
I'm glad you guys like the car... With this mod setup she handles really well... almost no understeer. :mischievous:

Anyway, catch you guys next time,
Till then remember what I mentioned above... Mod it right and keep it clean. :D

Later. :cheers:

Yea, I am really liking the AYC! Makes for awesome oversteer turn in on maximum setting!

Don't need any toe on this one, which is cool... except that the turn exit is lacking a little and it pushes outwards quite a bit, however, that can be compensated nicely with some rear wheel spin :D

Inital splits:
0'31.596
1'14.052

Hi everybody!

It´s been long, long time after I last drove in WRS, but here I am again. Have you missed me? :D

Great combo there, Kent. 👍

I'll be back.

Nice splits Link! 👍
Tried some more laps, still messing around with the settings.

EDIT: 31.528 / 1'13.939

Yea, thus far the splits are falling, but not the all important final time... seems that last hard right turn is in needing of near perfection to get the kind of lap time I already have...

Getting close to 'finalised' settings, once there I will post em up for others.... not that very many drivers ever seem to get substantial gain from my sets, if any drivers at all ;)

Here are my current settings:

Spring Rate 6.8 / 5.3
Ride Height 100 / 103
bound 10 / 10
rebound 10 / 10
camber 2.3 / 1.8
Brakes 24 / 24
Toe 0 / 0
Stab. 3 / 3
AYC = 130
VCD = 10%
Downforce 0.19 / 0.46
ASM = 0 TCS = 0

Still working a bit on the gears

First clean save: T1 31.255 T2 1'13.319

Oh yeah, I shift @ 7000 rpm.

Here's some sectors from me and my crappy set up

31.622 / 1'14.193

Sweet car I'll try out Tomski's set up next ;)

Sets:
4.0 / 15.0
99 / 99
10 / 10
10 / 10
2.7 / 1.5
0.0 / 0.0

5 / 5 / 5
1 - 2.724

VCD = 10%

New splits (not clean.... yet)
13.095
1'13.186

EDIT: Nice times Tommy.... didn't know you had gotten so fast as of late 👍

And oh yea... I also shift between 6750 and 7000 (1000m tests resulted in very minor discrepency shifting at 6750 and 7000, so I figure as long as I am between the two it is all good :D)

in a few moments im going to try let some EVO rubber on the floor...
this is a good challenge for me because i don't like very much this track.
but who cares... it's a challenge.:banghead: ......
good luck for all..:cheers:

t1 32.480
t2 1'16.595
322 bhp

Thanks for the info guys,I'm gonna need it :embarrassed:

wI think I'm done for today... have to pick it up later in the week... I Can see another 0.650 from the final lap time with this new, CLEAN (yay :)) save:
0'31.214
1'13.021

I had only gone and installed a racing muffler :dunce: ok back to 318bhp, back soon with some proper sectors :D

lotus350
:confused:
My blue Lancer V GSR was stock at 322 bhp, same as Sjaak's.
Since this car comes out of the car dealer at 276 bhp and without any blue color option, I guess it's a prize car (or perhaps a special div2 car :lol: ).
Best so far is at :
T1 = 32.300 (best seen at 32.0)
T2 = 1'16.009 (nothing better seen)

This was supposed to be my only practice session, so these might be the times I'll submit eventually. Unless I can take some time friday night late...

My oldest son is sick, so updates on the T Times Leaderboard will be as I get a chance.

Current to this post. 👍

flat-out

Yes you must have a prize car, I'm now at 322 👍 best sectors have been 31.3 and 1'14.1 the lap was not clean though 👎

Well,
Actually hellnback,
You assumed wrong.

I intentionally didn't assume, In my post I concluded (wrong as it turned out)... :D

because...

ASSUME = ASS + U + ME :D

Yeah, Tomski put me right with the Seattle Track regs when I PM'ed him when I saw him online...

Thnx Tomski :)

Where do I find this leaderboard??? (Bet it's right under my nose somewhere...)

~~~~~
Div I you reckon huh GoKents??? Blimey!!! Talk about getting thrown in the deep end. Since GT2 was released (played it for about 2 months), all my GT playing has been GT4P in the last month or so... GT3 only now... :(
I'm gonna have to work settings abit more, I've basically only lowered it a little, added a little camber, little rear downforce, and made it little stiffer in stabilisers...
Looks like some have set times to shoot at anyhows...
31.100/1.13.105 my car is still on 318hp until oilchange, hoping the 4 horses will make a difference. I will try some more soon, cyas.
