Gluck in that 3000GT. . . It can't turn! :P

Finally got what I was looking for @ 1'02.715 with a much better setup. Wish I could have gone under 42 in that lap. My T2’s remain at 42.2

I'm not in this one oficialy yet but I submited my WRS qualifyer time a few days ago, so i've ben doing some runs just incase I get my wings before the deadline. I've ben working with the regular S2000, althgough i was going to go RX-7, but everybody seems to have that idea now and the S2000 is the closest thing. The fact that its one of my favorite cars notwithstanding. So anyway with my less than adequate tunings, about 340 hp, and about 20 laps of seat time, here is my best so far. I hope to be able to compete officialy.

T1 :15.6
T2 :45.4
T3 1:07.1

I think those are the worst times posted so far. Oh well, Im sticking with my S2K anyway. I think I'm going to like the arcade car chalenges better. Heres hoping, to be competitive in week 100 that is.

BTW, Monty, could you tell me what tuning you did to your ZZ-S... I'm curious to see what you did, as I couldn't squeeze out a PWR all that close to 3.000 with the Elise while still doing my regular routine for tuning...[/QUOTE]

Sorry i didnt reply before Azurmen! But im very glad to see you managing a very good lap with your lightweighter; and my settings?
The ZZ-s cr.54600
Gearbox

Cant remember r.h but dont go all the way down.

Brakes 24,22
Gearbox: Long 1st and 2nd, keep the 3rd, then shorten 4th and 5th, the 6th was difficult to find, but it should hit the limiter after the bridgechickane at the start finish.
:scared: watch out so it doesnt dip under the pwr 3.000.

And though its twitchy Azur, it corners better than any gt3 car 👍 very fast

Y.T Monty

Good luck to all GTP racers :P

Kent
Corps,
I never use the tranny trick.
Just never take the time too. :ouch:

I always leave the tranny at stock settings, then move the final drive ratio until I'm topping out properly.

Thanks for the tip!

I just ran a pretty good lap after setting the final drive. Helps a lot, I can hit 140 before the finish line now!

Newest time Supra RZ

So close to 1:05's I can taste it.

Ok, as I have seen, the pop cars are the RX-7 and the GS, well I tried the Z06...pretty fast I must say but I don't feel comfortable on that car and I don't have fun at all on it.

Well, it came to my mind one of my favorites on GT3 and real life, the Evo VII GSR. It's kinda tricky for me to get the right settings for suspension(still messing around with it) and I have the T times of 15.230/44.148/1'05.285. P/W is at 3.056

I think with the right settings, I might bring this baby down to mid 1'04's

I have just setup a car for this race (using the original rules on page 1) and came up with This run:

t1: 16.128
t2: 45.696
t3: 1'07.495
lap: *******

Now I noticed that we ARE allowed weight reductions, so I gotta go back, refigure out my budget, check out some other cars and race some more.

I also noticed that everybody posts their t-section times, but not their total lap times, why not?

If I only used the t-section times I would have a faster lap, as I screwed up on the last section on an otherwise great lap. :indiff:

Anway, great race, Kent! 👍

Because we are not allowed to. We are only allowed to post about our t-section times. (Edit it out of your post. ;) )

It adds a little suspense, but we can still judge how we are doing against others.

Generally we post our fastest CLEAN lap t-section times. Or we also post what times we have run, but will mention having had a small off or ruined the run. It lets everyone else see maybe what is possible in a section and also lets others see what we are possibly capable of on a good lap.

Ok, my bad! I missed the part about no lap times! I was too excited to get the car and go racing. I am warned now, and my previous post is edited...

I have a question concerning oil changes and the power to weight ratio... Since the oil change adds horsepower, should we do it before all other mods or do it after? I mean, if I add all mods to a car, have the power to weight ratio at 3.0, then add the oil change, the ratio will be in the 2.9~ish... is that free horspower or do I need to factor that into the total horsepower? Seems to me that if we need to factor that into the total horsepower then doing an oil change should be the first thing done to a car...

You'll need to factor that in. If the PWR in the stats is below 3.000, then thats a no no.

And no new lap times from me... I think I drunk too much :P Did manage a 1'04.7xx with my Opel... but that lap was slower than my other lap with a 1'05.0xx... shomehow :P

New laps for me too... I managed the following times with a car that is not American or Japanese, and it's a lightweight:

t1: 15.940
t2: 45.406
t3: 1'07.149

I must park my GT3 for the night, gotta go to bed now. More racing tomorrow!

Well, there's two things you might be looking at, that exceptionally large T3, or a certain bouncing avatar ;).

Time submitted early this week. No improvements, but no more time for this one. See you in week 100. :D

Yep, I slipped (I also didn't go to sleep...). T3 time is corrected, now it doesn't show my lap time anymore... doh! :dunce:

i've done some laps with the grand sport, but i've noticed something...
my t3 time is something like 1'02.466:tup: but i checked again my weigth power ratio after oil change, and for my surprise the car was under 3.0 pwr. :banghead: damm
--Warning--
To the other drivers be carefull with power and oil changes
PS:. i will not post any time:tdown:
sorry, not much time to play...:ouch:
but i will return...👍
good luck and feel the force

Hello Hyundai Racer,
Please check out this page. ;)

Also, since so many of you go excited.
I did a search and found a few interesting pics...
They are all too big to post though (184kb and up is too much for the 100kb limit on attachments).

Maybe in time I will find a way around it, but I promise that any of you loving hyundai's avatar would find these (PG-13) GIFs to be an eye full. ;)

Too bad I can't post them lol!
