It's Tsukuba... just pull out of your driveway and U-turn into your neighbors'. You've got 3/4 of the track down. ;)

That made me really LOL....
I'm 'OK' with turns 1 , 3 , 5.
2 and 4, I'm losing a second.

I did around 20 laps at Tsukuba on the weekend. Managed a 1:07.8. I think our pace was pretty close at GVE-R PTP. What did you run at Tsukuba?

Glad the aliens took up Tuesdays race. I'll go onto Thursdays and hope thats a planet Earth race :)

1:08.1.... I know were the time is lost, I just can't get the car to turn-in and keep the revs up.
If anyone would like to show me a line around this track I would be grateful.

follow ghost. IIRC in the practice races pre-season he drove off into the sunset sniffing 6's ... seemed to have it pretty well figured out.

Mav, timeattack and Forced all in the same race, with a few of the fastest earthlings thrown in as well?

It's actually a shame we won't all get to watch that. Here's hoping someone will upload the replays to youtube. 👍
So will Tuesday have any average paced drivers here?
Ah what the heck. I'm in. Carra, an average paced driver? Well, you found one. :D
 Two guys that can get top 20 times on time trials calling themselves average. You guys are both very fast.

From the looks of it, I'll be finishing dead last. At least I'll get to watch what should be a spectacular race.

No last place is my spot. You can finish 9th. lol

On CS tires? Wow, that will be fun to see.

Thanks. It will be an awesome race, I wonder if anyone can get the replay to Wardez so he can stream it?

I said you WOULD be doing 1'06.9's. Not "I WANT HIM TO COME AND KICK OUR BUTTS WHILE DOING 1'06.9's." hahah!!!!! Oh boy this is gonna epic!!! :)

LOL:)

Compared to the aliens: Forced, RT, Aderrm, TimeAttack, Tony... that's a big list right there. There are more that I am forgetting.

HA. you give me too much credit. Don't underrate yourself there hotshoe! ;) You have Alien DNA in your blood as well :)

We should force all the Aliens to have neon green wheels on their cars so that people know to stay out of the way.

One step ahead of you ;)

Too late, you gotta wait till thursday bruh. Your name alone takes up like 4 spots, you should've signed up earlier.

Bahahaha I lol'd at work today when reading this

No one else wants to drop the $$$ on a hardware video encoder? Don't get me wrong... I really really want a BlackMagic Intensity shuttle; just hard to justify the 2 bills until I have more practical applications for it.

I could try and record it with my go pro HD somehow....;)

I will post my PB tomorrow afternoon. Want to see if I can go a few tenths quicker first. :)

Not underrating myself, Forced, just being realistic ;). I might open a room for practice early, in case RT doesnt do it. With THAT lineup, I'm definitely gonna need practice

I open the room about 10 minutes after I get home from work. So yeah, as you can probably guess I won't be opening up an early practice room. ;)

Well I worked out a deal with my brother. He's gonna be streaming the race for me, I'm just training him on keeping the camera on first place, so any epic action mid-pack will probably most unfortunately be missed. But hey it's hell of a lot better than nothing.

I guess I can train him to avoid the situation where the camera stays locked on a leader that's doing a "Vettel" and in clear space ahead. So I'll say, " Keep the camera on first place, as long as there's people around, if there's not, keep going back one place until you find action, then go to first if the first guy gets passed."

Except that I was going to cap the room at 11 people. I guess I could add another spot, and hope that everything runs okay.

I'm cool with someone just uploading the replay. If it's awesome one of us can cap it off the replay file and punt it up to the youtubes.

What lap times are they getting? :scared:

High .1's :). I'm at a .40, but have only done about 50 laps practice (two 25 lap sessions.) I can match sectors down to the thousandth at the .1 pace, but can't link it. I'm going to shoot for a .1 in my practice session before quali. But that (for me anyway) would be something tough to replicate in a qualifying situation. Nailing the line here is super difficult (for me anyway) compared to other tracks. Either way it will be an epic battle!

The scariest part...T/A thinks a '6.7 is doable :scared: :)

So, Low 7s are still good?

I did 6.7 :sly: the full lap was 2:06.734 I think

You mean 1'07.734? lol

'7.7's is definitely a quick lap, if you can do that consistently you'll be in the hunt. But I think consistent .5's, '4s, will be necessary to battle at the front over a race distance. I believe TA was consistently running in the .3's. I'll be ready for the race once I polish my corner-by-corner plan of attack a little bit. I'm sure Mav is going to be right at the front as well. And haven't heard from R1600 or the others. Going to be a little dogfight!

I'm still not sure if I'm racing tonight. I have like 3-4 laps of practice total on this track with this car.

Nope, 8.0 is the best lap time I can do more than once. I have a replay of Mav and Joey running 7.5s like they're easy. I'm going to study that and see if I can just copy everything. I might get on pace.

We're definitely in for some bumper to bumper action tonight  I think for the most part the races will be won or lost in qualifying, so putting the car as high up on the grid for the start will be crucial.

Lastly, I just hope all of us can race on a equal playing ground, instead of one guy having a 2-3tenth advantage/disadvantage due to issues with the connection :ill: At this level, a clear advantage/disadvantage in pace can all be down to luck unfortunately 👎

See ya guys tonight

I ran a 10 lapper with joeyfast22 a few days back, I was never more than 1.5 seconds back and ended up being .8xx behind at the finish. I'm pretty sure we were lapping mid 7's the whole race. I have sort of a love/hate relationship with this track, love it because I am generally pretty quick here, hate it because its so freaking boring. IMO of course.
Also I'm not going to be able to make it this week, have to do some stuff after work on Thursday, so there is no chance I will be home anytime before race start.

Honestly I would love it if we had more small tracks like Tsukuba in the game.

I'm ok with small tracks... it's just that Tsukuba is dull. Visually it's just a green and brown smear and the track layout is just 3 nearly identical U-Turns and a straight with a larger circumference U-Turn. I wish the moto-chicane was in the "normal" layout... breaks up a lot of the same-ish-ness.

It's sad when the top-gear track is more interesting.

I agree, Tsukuba is pretty bland (at least IMO) and generally becomes quite uninspiring after just a few laps

I like short, slow and technical tracks (like Autumn ring or Monaco) with slower cars like the FT-86, but Tsukuba is just too dull for my taste :ill:

I think ******** is pretty awesome actually. I think you guys may just feel it's bland because it's virtually flat, it is somewhat of a mini-Indy to that regard, but the technicality shows itself in the gap times between drivers. It has the largest gaps of any track that small because there's so much hidden time. Looks simple, but the good drivers are doing some extremely fine technical line optimization while doing their best laps around there, funny thing is some of them are so naturally good at picking lines they don't realize they're "just doing" the crazy hard lines most of us kill ourselves trying to stay on - thus it seems bland. Drive on you crazy diamond.
