Nice lineup and once again a Car ticket! Ironically there are two Nurburgring events and I'll be exactly there this weekend 😅

So, as usual, Kudos says:

  • Japanese FR 450: Skyline KPGC110 (no swap)
  • Lightweight K cup: Suzuki Jimny (Will go for the swapped one)
  • Special Event: duh
  • Euro Clubman 600: Renault 5 Turbo (gonna be interesting)
  • WTC 900: Audi RS5 DTM

So today I rerolled my ticket. But unfortunately it looks like PD really thinks that I don't have enough VGTs. Nothing changed, I still got the Skoda and that's the 3rd VGT I got from those car tickets. I sold the other 2 immediately but this time I may wait a bit....

Nice another car ticket which of course will give me a VGT just like the last few car tickets have.:grumpy:
I know billionaires don't have to worry about these things, but if i don't have the VGT already, I keep it as it saves me having to burn 1m on buying it and gets me 1 car closer to Sarah "congratulating" me on 400 cars.

Race 4 - Countach 25th Anniversary '88 - great event! It is pleasure to overtake legend by legend - and everything on iconic track...!

Race 5 - CLK-LM '98 - forgot the layout, long ago, I farmed cr here, but as I said, long ago...hit the fence maybe 50 times. Came to fitst place, but lose it due I had to go in pits for fuel for final lap. I had FM4, bit obviously isn't enough for 1 stop. Got the car ticket and Bugatti Veyron gr1 duplicate, that I sold for 503k.

My chosen ones for this week:

Putting the new engine on the Sileighty and did a shakedown.

The S660 blitzes through the night street race in Tokyo. Its contemporaries were in awe.

The V40 surprisingly excels at the tight Red Bull Ring.

A lightly tuned Ferrari F8 on Sports Soft tires decided it had enough playing around with Gallo's Giulia. Set a lap time of 6:46 at the 2nd lap. Again, Sport Soft tires.

To cap off the challenges, the Alpine VGT sporting the famous BWT color scheme zooming past the competition at the Nurburgring GP.

Fun races this week, first three are pretty easy and at fun tracks too. Clubman Cup 600 at Nurburgring is a lot of fun, there's a lot of cars under 600PP you can win with but it can be a real challenge if they're slow down the straight. Ended up using the Diablo GT just because I wanted to drive it, really fun car and quite easy to win with. Lowest PP I've won on this is ~545, there's a few weird outlier cars that are super fast around there, especially if it rains. There was a good thread a while back testing out different cars which might help some people. WTC 900 I used a Porsche 962, probably should've started on RM but ended up on RH and struggle to catch until I pitted and swapped over.

Cars for this week:

@RCKakashi14

Me also thought about using the Alpine at Nürburgring GP. Which strategy would you recommend ?

On hard difficulty:

- Since the weather can change, better have Inters or Wets ready. I used Mediums.

- Max out the downforce of the car. I added turbo as well then detune to meet the regs.

- The GT-R GT500 pits at lap 8. You can definitely catch it even if you pit at Lap 6 (I used FM1).

It is easier if the track stays dry.

KPrime again to choose me something different:

Japanese FR Challenge 450 - Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88 - Haven't actually driven mine (even since winning it in the early days) so this will be a good chance to actually finally use it!
Lightweight K-Cup - Suzuki Jimny XC '18 - Mine is massively OP, so might buy a new one and tune it up lightly.
Volvo V40 T5 R-Design One-Make - I wonder... 🤔 - In that lovely Rebel Blue, of course!
European Clubman Cup 600 - Porsche 911 GT3 (996) '01 - Might buy a fresh one and run it near stock.
World Touring Car 900 - Porsche 919 Hybrid '16 - A good excuse to pull out my recently made Vaillant livery and give it a run.

Liking the fact they've given us 6* parts and car again - fingers crossed the 6* car will be another I don't have, or a valuable one. Had the Porsche VGT Roadster last week, which was on my list of "To Buy for Completion" so that saved me a cool million.

Had some time this morning so gave these races a go.

The Supra at High Speed Ring in completely stock form was more than enough to manage a win. Not by miles, but a CRB and easy win nonetheless.

I decided to just use the Jimny I already had - seeing as it was just under 400PP. The win didn't come easy, seeing as most of the AI were faster in a straight line and got past me in the straights. But I kept it clean and won with another CRB.

Then a newbie, in the Volvo at Red Bull Ring. Loved driving this thing in cockpit view, getting into the lead on the last lap and bagging a third CRB in a row. The payout for this is decent! I'll definitely give this a few more tries, maybe even buy a second V40 and give it a light tuning.

I bought a fresh new 996 GT3 for the Nordschliefe and gave it a few parts to bring it just under 600PP on SS tyres. Also removed the rear wing for that GT3 touring vibe (in green on gold BBS LM alloys...). With the AI driving up the middle of the tight track I couldn't bank a CRB here, and I couldn't manage to catch up to the Giulia GTAm who finished 18s clear in front. But it was a lovely drive and I think I'll have another go tonight.

Final race was a complete nightmare. I started off trying to get a clear couple laps but AI decisions meant I restarted twice. On the third attempt I decided if I had the same issue I'd just keep running and ignore trying for a CRB. Halfway through that race (lap 6 actually) and one of the Raybrig NSX's decided to tap my rear quarter on the run down to the final chicane and send me spinning into the grass. Returning to the track I got smashed by another car (no idea which one) and found myself all the way back in 18th! I lost 26s on that lap alone!! So I decided to just go balls out for the win... Missed out by 3s to the GT-R '16 on the final lap, but made up so much time driving super aggressively and just bashing cars out of the way to vent some frustration! Not sure I'll bother running that combo again for a while!

Parts ticket gave me a bore up for the Supra RZ '19 (to go with the shaft I got for it last week) and car ticket gave me a Lexus RC F Gr.2, so I'll keep that ticket and re-roll at the next update and hope for something better!

Did anyone already win the Volvo race with the stock car at hard race mode ? I can reach the podium when I put myself in "hard race mode", however I want to do better ...

in the gran turismo series obviously:D
Yeah, unsurprisingly I know that...

⬅️

... but that's the series, not "the game" like you said. There's no relevance for how many Civics there have been in the series to how many are in the game.

(I also know that the "Cuillere" is a bizarre autotranslate of "Spoon", and quite what you've done with the Gathers Drider Civic boggles the mind)

I didn't...needed SHs, and some tuning parts(sport clutch, sport breaks, sport suspension, the sport computer and sport silencer)

You missed one:
