This 🤡 🤡 💩 last race that i was 1 minute from the first in 3-4 lap!!!
The only way for a win is by cutting the last chikane....
Hey PD stop giving us 💩races... give us the qualifying!!!!

So...I realise now I post here bi-weekly, no guarantee I'll be doing every weekly from now on, as I might take a break from it soon, as I have all the cars now (infact since April 8th) but I didn't forget last weekly, for which I used the following (and as always hard AI w/PSVR2);
Screenshot_2024-05-28-19-10-29-302.jpeg
(The order I messed up on, first event is the car on the far right, the McLaren was for the final event)

Now as for this week...I wanted to have a weekly with no stress at all....but it seems the GT gods sais no to that, anyways here's my weekly rota, of which they are as shown (hard AI w/PSVR2);
Screenshot_2024-06-02-00-57-30-935.jpeg

  1. moderatly tuned no turbo Toyota S-FR (CM tyres) - this one was actually shockingly close of a finish.....which would also happen later but still...this one took 2 attempts as I messed up the first one
  2. Lightly tuned Daihatsu copen (CS tyres) - with very little modifications aside from a medium range turbo being the big one, this thing punches far above it's weight, great little machine, won on 1nd attempt again because I rolled it on the chicane one lap.
  3. Lightly modified Volvo V40 (CS tyres) - I did initially try this with even less upgrades, but as it turns out the low close range gearbox was the ticket , combined with a low rpm turbo this thing definitely did well here, once again it took 2 attempts at least because of my earlier try with even less upgrades
  4. FULLY TUNED '05 mini cooper (SS tyres) - so....this one was a doozy, I first completed this event in 2nd with a near fully modified V40 (yes, a repeat car because I was curious) but then I wanted to win and beat that damn Alfa in an FF car......cue me trying and failing this event multiple times. Citroen DS3 on SM - fail, but very close....Renault Clio on SM - fail....then as a joke I thought I'd try the old mini cooper on SS tyres...as it actually needed SS tyres to reach 600pp.....turns out that might e been what I needed here, while the tyre choice was a ove what the AI use for the event, the rules allowed it so if I was gonna make this happen this was my best bet, so....this one took 7 attempts across many vehicles until I randomly tried the mini, which in itself took 2 attempts due to a bad gearbox setup on the first try. Superchargers > turbochargers
  5. Moderatly nerfed McLaren VGT (85% power, with 69kg ballast and RH Tyres) - so uhh, you know how the last event ended up being reslly stressfsul for me...I actually willingly said to myself I don't care where I come, as long as it counts - so I surrendered my goal of getting a victory on every race tish week, and besides wtc900 with these damn chase the rabbit scenarios are negative fun....and I did a few mistakes with the car, but crucially I did get 2nd.
6 🌟 parts ticket - weight reduction stage 5 for AMG GT black
6 🌟 car ticket - jaguar VGT roadster, not too bad of a reward...if I didn't own everything already, probably good money though.

Really enjoyed the KEI car race. Did it a bunch of times just because I really enjoy most all versions of Tokyo... WTC 900 was fish in a barrel with the 919 but I really enjoy that car so much. Absolutely planted. The Volvo was surprisingly awesome. I concur about looking at one for the wife for her next car... 😂

In the last 6 months or so, Volvo have announced (in the UK...) that they'll only be making crossovers and SUV's...

Such a shame, as their estates have been stalwarts in that market...

You absolute LEGEND! This will be awesome to use for the weeklies!

Edit: this is what your randomizer chose for me. I'll have another go using all of these!

Had another go at Race 1, 2, and 4 last night before bed, and between knocking up some new liveries...

I have a few of the Nissan 432's, and one in particular is orange with SS tyres (otherwise stock). Decided to use that one, and snuck in a win by only just over a car length with the BRZ right on my tail and me blocking him down the home straight!

Race 2 I used my swapped Beat with over 300hp (and somehow still under 400PP)! I was in the lead before the end of the first lap and went on to win by over 40s. This thing does over 250kph on the straights....

Race 4 I used the one and only Mangusta I've got, in completely stock form. While it's an absolute rocket, it's geared way too short and can't hang with the big boys on the straights. Still, I had two really fun laps around the Green Hell and managed 2nd place - nearly 40s behind Gallo in the Giulia.

Didn't have the patience to try the last race again so I have that one a miss. I've already run the Volvo race a couple more times with another V40 I've bought and tuned. Might run the randomizer again and have another go at the same three races tonight!

I did a thing this evening.

Kudos' car randomiser is cool, but it's a bit fiddly sometimes and I wanted something a bit simpler and more tailored to weeklies. And I had a lot of fun with the last event generator I built, honestly it's kind of addicting when you see things coming together as you're doing web development.

So I built another one for weekly car selection.
That's very kind of you.

But for lazy ass like me, I'd prefer a tool where the weekly events are already set 😅 so I don't have to write them down or take a picture of my phone, then use your tool to manually look through all events to find the one I need + location, and do it 5 times (not counting the fact that we have often a one make, that leads to one less car to chose).

Solid weekly challenge for me. I broke it up over three days to use mileage for the daily workout.

All races completed with CRB. I already owned the cars and didn’t have to spend any credits on tuning. Parts ticket gave me a Stage 5 Turbo. Car ticket was Bugatti VGT.

Now the good part, workout tickets-

3* 500K
6* 1m
4* 500K

Even Gastone would envy your luck .

Banged them all out. Knowing Gallo was using the killer Alfa, I brought my own to The ‘Ring. Ran the fastest I ever have there,(7:18.343), beating him by 31 seconds. And got the CRB. Got another Nismo GT500-‘16. Sold it for 430k. Got a Stage 5 WR for a 2017 Ford GT.

Wow, Gallo runs a 15 minute flat race at the Ring, so you need to run 7:30 or better. Anyone have a 600pp build that runs that? I have been taking out my Tokyo builds and so far I have not been able to do it. I can get 2nd and be 45 seconds ahead of 3rd place but Gallo is still 20+ seconds ahead of me.

Reattempted the WTC900 again with my McLaren VGT. This time I was ready for that last minute rain. End of lap 7 I switched to IM's as radar showed rain this time. Do you think it reached me? NOPE. So here I was losing time on IM's. Had to quit and restart. lol This time it was a no rain race and I won it by about 7 secs. Got the Dodge Tomahawk VGT which I'll keep as I didn't own one yet.
Played around with the Japanese RWD. Had one of my Hachis on RS. Rain came at the start of lap 2 so I tiptoed and won by less than half a second.

Closest I got with a 600pp built was with an Alpine110 2017(unswapped), 2nd place with 11 seconds behind Gallo...

I tried but my enthusiasm is pretty low for the challenges as I’m only at menu book 41 and a half of the challenges you need to finish a menu book……

You don't have to actually complete the menu book to participate in the challenge. All you have to do is start the book to unlock the challenge.

Stock SLR or XJ220 will easily do it, both can run under 7:20. Gallo starts in different positions too, can be quite a bit harder if he starts on pole. I tend to suggest cars that are quick in a straight line for this race, matches the way his car is and makes passing the other cars along the way a lot easier.

My most recent run was with a Cayman GT4 on SS tires at 571PP, no other mods. The Alfa just about caught me at the end of the straight (he was going 220mph+!). Didn't record that one though.

I did it a little while back in a modified MK7 Golf on SS at 590PP, even with a couple of offs and a little Barry R tap. Had to retake the lead in the last sector of corners, but it was still a victory, haha.

This race can be done in a lot of sub 600 cars, it just takes clean lapping, quick passing, and a little bit of luck with the AI not being blockades. It' actually a really fun way to optimize cars for the 600PP bracket, and building cars to compete here is a good time.

Not always easy to pass AIs on the ring, I lose a lot of time on lap one, was 22s faster on lap 2. Got back to Gallo just before the final straight, then he vanished into the horizon 😅 had him in the beginning of lap 2.

Been using the Porsche GT3 RS '22 tuned to >700PP, first lap 7:27, second 7:05. Not too hard to win with that car :embarrassed:

Personally I've always found the Ring WTC800 race to be one of the most difficult races in the game on Hard difficulty, unless you use a cheat code car like the 787B or whatever. The AI are pretty much flawless and there are only a few places to safely pass. I only managed to win once with a GR3 car only because Fraga ran out of fuel right before the finish line lol

I had run the Nordschleife race for fun last week in a tuned 640 PP Dino and I thought to just go on with the car. I really like the Dino although it has a tendency to get very twitchy at certain places around the track. Changed the settings to SH tires and 599 PP and went racing. The first attempt was a second place, 15.05 overall, 5 sec behind Gallo. I then had a couple of restarts. Wasn't content with my driving on one hand, was in trouble with Gallo on the other. After he had pushed me into oblivion in two consecutive races when I just had overtaken him, I really had enough ! Slapped on SM tires, went full Dino power for 620 PP, went N2O down the final straight ( second lap only ) to not let him close up again and got the win - the replay photo above is from that race. 💪

Slow is not automatically less fun...

The Alfa Giulia Sprint GT is slow, but it is one oft the most fun cars to drive in the game...on the other end of the spectrum, there are the Tomahwaks:they are incredibly fast, but at least for me, totally boring to drive
Agreed. I'm also a huge fan of the Alfa Giulia Sprint GT... I was referring to slow-as-hell things like the Fiat 500 F, VW Sambabus, etc. I find them much less exciting (dynamically) than the V40. Character by the boatload from a visual point of view, maybe, but driving a stock 500 F around anything with a hint of a hill in it is worse than watching golf on TV.
