Great hint, thanks - the car's seriously fast here. RM / FM1 / pits after lap 6 ? Correct ? Did you use the mid range turbo ?
All in all - you named it - a pretty easy win. 👍
Didn't give it any more power, but same strategy as you ran. I would think if you run RH and FM3 or take it easy on RM you can run without pitting, not sure if the overall time is quicker though.

Would you mind sharing your LM55 setup ( if you have one at all ) or even a couple laps replay ?
I'm driving my ass off but can't get remotely close to your lap times without the big turbo.:lol: No speed here but the will to learn !

Lake Louise should be easy for me as it just snowed here in Charleston SC (8 years since last time)

From a test session with tyre and fuel usage on, ran a 1:32.619 in the race just after but when I saved the clip of that it was literally 2 seconds long.

Whoo boy! Has this been week. I decided to give Hard difficulty a try. These were not the cars to use for that...

weekly-challenge-202501w4-r1.JPG

Tsukuba - Nissan Fairlady Z 432 '69 - Upgraded the tires to CS so I'd have some grip. I couldn't quite catch the leader, in part because of stupid brake checks from the AI. Finished P2. Good enough for the first ticket.

weekly-challenge-202501w4-r2.JPG

Suzuka - TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00 - I upgraded to SS tires. This car is a handful. Weight transfer, body roll, and power oversteer. I did not enjoy driving it at all. I managed P3, but just barely. Second box checked.

weekly-challenge-202501w4-r3.JPG

Lake Louise - Suzuki Jimny XC '18 - Lots of upgrade on this Jimny. It made for an easy win, especially with the AI taking a sub-optimal line around T1. Second ticket obtained.

Spa - Lambourghini Countach LP400 '74 - Another untamed beast of a car. I left it stock, since it was already close to the PP limit. I was all over the place, but still managing to gain on the leaders, at least until I started drifting around Pouhon. Lost control and went straight into the wall. Still managed a disappointing P3. Fourth box checked.

Grand Valley - Nissan GT-R LM NISMO '15 - This car. It's just awful. I tried a no-stop on RM tires. Could only muster a P8 finish. Going to have to try again. Maybe with another car.

Cool, two races remain for me. The snow event at L. Louise and the Group 1 race at GV. See, it will be easy because I'm familiar with the tracks and class of cars being used. I'll most likely grind the Group 1 races because they are so fast the race usually takes roughly at least 10 minutes. So it will be a breeze for me, and I always use the legendary Tomahawk for this event.

You are going to do 10 laps at GV in 10 minutes???

Pretty fun week. Better than the past two weeks,IMO.
Went with the SF for GV. FM3 for some laps then FM1,RM, no stops. The AI didn't stop either. Just couldn't catch up to 1st. I was only whittling about a second/lap. Lost by 13 seconds. All good with second.

Spa in my Mustang that I've used in a few of these historic/vintage races. Easy win.

Suzuka was a good one. 368hp Delta on SS. Tail happy. Got past Valerio in his obnoxious Alfa when he was in 7th and from then on he was trying to keep up with me. I tried to keep a car between us and he ended up 3rd.

Easy win at Lake Louise in my 127hp Jimny. I think the gap at the finish was 30 or so seconds.

Tsukuba was fun too. Used an un-driven AE86 Limited seen here splitting the Nissans. Stock on CS. Barely won it by over 2 seconds .

Took out a stock ND Miata at Tsukuba. Got 2nd. Good enough.

Took out a lightly tuned Porsche GT4 (608pp) to Suzuka. Got 3rd. Good enough.

Took out a mildly timed Jimney at Lake Louise. Easy 1st place.

Took out a Ferrari GTO ‘84 with SH tires to Spa. Got 1st. Fun race.

Took out a stock LM55 VGT Gr.1 to Grand Valley. Got 1st on a no stop fuel saver race. Took first on the last lap in the tight bends. Wong was not even in this race. Ran a 16:17 race time and won by 1.5 seconds.

Not really any fun races this week, but I did choose an 80’s theme for the week.

- Japanese FR Challenge: stock AE86 on SS tires
- European Clubman Cup: E30 M3 Sport Evo, tuned to 596pp on SS tires
- Jimmy Cup: Jimmy Sierra, really could care less
- Historic Sportscar Festival: same E30 Sport Evo, but on SM tires
- Gr.1 Prototype Series: Sauber C9, no stop, FM4 on RM tires

Daily Marathon ticket was an engine ticket and gave me the Chiron W16.

Thanks for this setup, I was able to lap consistently in the 1.35 on FM6 with RM tyres (on Hard difficulty). I did crank the rear wing to 1500 just to help with rear stability, especially coming off the high speed S into the hairpin (Turn 3+4 into Turn 5)

I felt the need to short-shift in order to make the necessary fuel milage. Shift just went the revs reach the edge of the suggested gear indicator light, about 90% of the bar if that makes sense.

I think I also have to thank Miyazono-san for holding up Wong for much of this race. So much so that I was in the lead when Wong pitted (not that I think they needed to)

I managed to knock out the final race in the GT-R NISMO. I did it the coward's way: by lowering the difficulty level back to Normal. 🤷‍♂️

weekly-challenge-202501w4-r5-2.JPG

Grand Valley - Nissan GT-R LM NISMO '15 - Ran a no-pit strategy on RM tires like last time. With the lower difficulty setting, I was able to gradually work my way up the field this time, taking home a P2 finish. Final ticket obtained.

Something I noticed while using the Corvette C3 and I didn't know the real car is exactly like this. The windshield wipers are hidden under the hood:

I wonder if this detail is also present on games like The Crew 2 and I just don't remember at all

They are not under the hood. That is a cowl flap at the base of the windshield. When you turn the wiper switch on, the flap is opened to expose the wipers.

Japanese FR Challenge 450: Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero. Just the same build from the Silvia Sister event to get it done. Easy win.
European Clubman Cup 600: Mercedes AMG GTR. WIP GT4 build, got the job done with the default SLS GR.4 setup. Easy win.
Historic Sports Car Masters: Ford GT40 Mark I. Car feels illegal with how easy it is to drive on default. Super easy.
Gr.1 Prototype Series: Super Formula SF19 Honda. Realizing I didn't have to use a GR.1 car, picked this just to be like "What if?".
Jimny Cup: Jimny XC. Already had it modified so just slapped on Snow tires and off to the races I went. Fun if slightly challenging.
