Managed to get this week done with a clean sweep* across all five races, in three sessions.
On Friday I had limited time so I hopped on for about 30 mins at lunch and got the first three out of the way.
Starting with the Japanese FR Challenge 450 at Tsukuba I pulled my purple Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R - which has a replica livery of one of my son's Hot Wheels cars - out of the garage for a few laps. It's only just over the 450 PP recommendation (about 467 PP I think) and it made easy work of the field. No CRB due to troublesome AI putting up roadblocks going three wide into the hairpin at tortoise speeds. Collected my 100k ticket.
From Tsukuba it was over to Suzuka for the European Clubman Cup 600, for which I opted for something a little left-field: the Zagato IsoRivolta Zagato VGT. It's probably a bit OP for this event, but I remembered the Alfa Giulia often running around 700 PP level, so I thought I'd take something relatively quick to make easy work of it. First drive in it and found it loves to oversteer, so it took a little while to find the balance. Obviously with all the squirelly action I managed to clip an AI or two along the way and lost my CRB, again, but at least that was two wins from two races.
Next up: Lake Louise in the little Jimny. I found this one to be the most challenging of the first bunch, with my car struggling to keep up in the long sections but making some good gains through all the twisty bits. Ended up taking a narrow win of a couple seconds, and predictably without CRB. Collected my 200k ticket and switched off and went back to work.
Logged in again later in the evening as I still hadn't cleared the daily workout distance, so headed off to Spa for the Historic Sports Car Masters in my black Porsche 959, which had been sitting quietly in my garage since purchase a few weeks back. I played with the tyre combos to get close to the PP limit, using a SH/SM combination. Handling was good and this thing has more than enough power to get past the field. Won by over 8s, but again without CRB thanks to some off-track antics by myself and some misjudged AI cornering speeds. 5-star daily workout ticket gave me 100k credits.
Saturday I logged on late. Feeling tired and knowing I'm terrible with Gr.1 and Grand Valley, I cowardly chose "Easy" difficulty and used the Mazda VGT Gr.1. I took the lead on Lap 4 and passed more than half the field. Really didn't need to make it that easy... Final ticket claimed, plus a 5-star daily workout ticket which gave me a Renault Megane Gr.4, which got sold.
*Clean sweep, but that last race at Easy level was just ridiculously easy, so does it even count?!
