 I was thinking of trading her in for a sportier model  J.K.. Those wheels are a bit much but worth it from what i gather from all the write ups i,ve looked at..

Does any one have suggestion on the best lines for this track

My best T's

T1 23.1
T2 50.8
T3 1.18.1

I think I need to work on my T3 A lot :(

Its not the lines you should be looking at its your set up ;)

Have a look back a few post and find the set up you prefer:)

Im no specialist though:(

Laters;)

Well, Noojra...

Being that your t3 is at 1.18 you should be willing to take just about any advice...

If I was you I would concentrate on doing this...

Even out your springs.

avoid an oversteer set up and dont use an understeer set up either.

Then use major, and I mean, major tcs.

This will help you... its an ego killer to some of us, but straight up, it can make you faster.

Then with a "medium" set up and high tcs, you should be able to concentrate on your lines without worrying about holding the car together.

just incase you want them... a basic version of these "medium" settings would be...

12/12 springs
75/75 ride hieght
9/9 bound
9/9 rebound
2/1 camber
0/0 toe
7/7 stabilizers

5/5/5 lsd
(tranny where ever you can put it that you like, but for now just use the overall adjuster)

max down force

TCS (note the capital letters) *10*
(that is the max tcs, and I would suggest using that, then bringing it down slowly until you find the right spot.)

Lose the asm, and then raise it if you want, but I would never use the crap.

Good luck and come back with specific problems.. it will make helping you a whole lot easier.

Not sure if they still have them, or at what price, but I picked up a momo force at www.newegg.com for $110. I also didnt read back enough to see if you were talking about the momo force or the momo racing wheel. Ive tried both, the momo force is definately the better one. The only things I liked more about the momo racing was the firmer brake pedal, tha clamping, and the little shifter. The little shifter is neat, but the novelty wears of quick. And if you drill a hole into your desk with the supplied template for the momo force, its perfect (actually doesnt move for me unless I really tug on it).

The quality of everything on the momo force is better, and the gears in the wheel mechanism grind less. The leather feels great, and the pedals are so sweet.

Oh yea, and newgg is THE BEST computer parts store in the world, hands down, youve heard it from me. Best prices, best inventory, best customer service. You usually only find the best prices at some ****ty place with a horrible reseller rating, checkout neweggs rating, something like 9.7. Also, order it wednesday, recieve it friday.

Ill try and get a time in for this week, I have a busy weekend though.

I'm in shock and withdrawal ....no GT3 all day yesterday
Today I'll get a few DS2 laps in, and try a few of them set up's :)

Had a good session tonight at work.:mischievous:

Best CLEAN save : 21.297 / 47.182 / 1:09.597

I think total so far I have driven between 800-1000 miles to get this best lap. I KNOW more time can come off because I have run a clean T1 of 21.183, a T1 of 21.009 with a little lawnmowing, and have touched as low as 46.9XX at T2 and 1:09.3XX at T3, but the chances of me running all four sectors together at these kinds of speeds are not very likely at all.:irked: If I get motivated I may run another 500 miles over the weekend, but I'm pretty happy with this run I have saved.(and my thumb hurts!) I used my setup above to achieve these times with just a little more tweaking to the LSD and gear ratios.

Happy motoring!:D

I think Im gonna be a bit cheeky !! ;) and try run this race - after running the qualifier of course - Im gonna have a blast tonight get sum times tomorrow for ya !

Hello BigJamesGTI :
:D Not "Cheeky" at all & of course it's OK. Welcome aboard & as you're a new arrival you may not be aware that this OLR is slightly different. The "Fast Guys" (& "Gal") here are VERY Generous w/settings & advice helping slower drivers like myself to improve race by race. Enjoy your stay...UB57
:D

cheers UB - I hope I do better than the amateur league, I love GT3 and have bin racing in a team on here last year ! We can only do our best though !!! I'll stick me times on ere tomorrow !! YEAH !!!

I may very well pass on this weeks race and not do many of the following for a while either. The GT3 World Speed Challenge is taking off, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

silly question here - Do I go to free run off the same menu as the garage option ?? It has been a while !!
nevermind - I spose I'll find out wen I get on the PS2 tonight !

You should go to arcade mode and select free run there;)

But buy the car from granturismo mode first;)

laters:)

Thanks for the Advice Gokents I will try your suggestion. ;)

By the way I'm a big Kenshin fan:D

I AM SUCH AN IDIOT

I only just realized something. I'v been using T2 Tires all along. :banghead: (even for the last race) No wonder I cant keep this car on the road.

I guess it because My PS2 has been down for over a year and I havent played GT3 for so long.

Wow after just on lap I'm already 7 seconds quicker:D

This car is great

Don't you just hate when that happens??:irked: :D :D :D

So post your splits and let's see how much better you've done now. Probably a nice improvement eh?:)

Got my first decent clean save worth mentioning today. 21.4/47.0/1'09.5 and thats was w/ boom's settings, only made a couple tweaks to em. Ive only put about 100 miles on the car so far so hopefully theres still room for improvement w/ more practice/tweaking of the settings. This car handles surprisingly well considering its gargantuan size. haha. It is a bit tail happy for some of those hairpins tho...you really gotta watch it

My best almost clean lap is

T1 21.999
T2 48.947
T3 1.12.290

I ran off on the grass coming out of the first corner, just before the S turn:banghead:

Ill give it another go tommorow or maybe later tonite. I think I have to work on my exit speed.

By the I used Boom's settings Great setup Boom!

It looks like you're losing time between T1 and T2 the most (the 3 tunnel sections) the2nd tunnel into the 3rd tunnel is a critical section to lower your lap time IMO. Make sure that you stay to the inside of the 2nd tunnel on exiting, even if it means going a touch slower,so that you have a good position to take on the right that follows and leads into the final tunnel.

Also, after the turns 3+4 Ihave 100% throttle from turn 4,all the way into turn 6 never letting off the gas the whole time. But you must be on the right side of the track after turn 4 so that you can take turn 5 full out. Hope this helps, CFM

if i buy it ill have like 10,000 creds left so thats a nono

i keep trying the endoru and im stuck with the c5r, and

fo90/s this stinks. lol i want to race this race. but

i need the car first

I know you can pick the car you want if you press X when the circle is under the car but you have to time it perfectly. (press X just before the circle is under the car) there are a few FAQs on the net that show you how to do it. but to me it just seem like dumb luck

Hope this helps;)

Thanks, but ive tried it.:( no luck back to the enduro. :(

I was about to come on here and ***** and moan to boom that his settings suck because this fat arse car couldn't turn when I realised I didn't save my game after I bought and fitted Super Slicks, the car was running on Medium Slicks. Doh.

Times with boom's settings:

T1: 0'22.731
T2: 0'49.790
T3: 1'13.119

With lots more to take off.

Here's a suggestion that you can do in the future Cobraboy.
If you just barely have enough credits to get a car, go ahead and buy it, but just don't save your game. Now you will have the car and you can race it. If you don't mind leaving your PS2 on all the time, you can race that car the whole week. Just don't save your game, that way when you reset, you'll be back where you started with the same exact amount of credits as your last save.

Feeling "partly cloudy" today.

Managed a 21.142-46.737-1:09.338, but it was tainted.:irked:
Pressed on and did a 21.401-47.047-1:09.405, clean and faster overall as well.👍
Time submitted.
FWIW, I used the default setup, except:
lowered to 55mm
0 rear camber
rear bar at 5
max brakes(does this do anything if they're even?)
LSD 10/20/20
3.422
2.465
1.867
1.476
1.219
1.051
3.500 final,final
drink.gif

DF max
ASM 0
TCS 5

Bed time.
