Just did some laps to get settings started.

Basically...

Best lap is a 1.11.3 (though I didn't capitalize on it)

Best t times:
13.500
50.4
1.11.2

Im gonna get into the 1.10 area once I finish with my settings.

New best clean has a 1.11.017 T3.:cool:

Also ran a 13.4 and lotsa 13.5's at T1 and a 50.2 at T2. Almost had a 49 once but clipped the inside corner and crashola. 1.10's at T3 may be on the way , depends on how much time I have. But they're definitely possible. :mischievous:

Ok, gonna go win the car and then I'll hopefully get down to business :mischievous: Will have some updates over the weekend :)
 
If I find some time I am gonna have acrack at this one, dont know how I'll go in a 4WD though, fully modded sounds about right though 👍
 
Best T3 is around 1'12.0xx on a lap where I nudged the first corner a little. If I correct all my mistakes and figure out the best line and braking points, should be able to catch up with the rest of you's doin 1'10's.Im just not 100% sure about my setup yet tho. Might have to work on that.

Does anyone else hate the fact this car seems to stop pulling around 150 mph? Acceleration in 5th and 6th is horrible. Stupid small displacement 4-banger turbo engine :banghead:

1'10's eh? cripes..im really gettin left in the dust here, i gotta try some of these setups out...apparently mine sucks. haha
 
My setup has changed from the one I posted earlier, but I can't remember off hand what I did. If I turn on the PS2 anytime soon I'll post up the revised settings.:cool:
 
I sometimes get these good T1 times and then just freak out and screw up the lap by totally ***** footing it. I just got a 13.391 and then just piddled around the corners.
 
Wow, i seem to be on close to everyone's performance so far! Incredible!

T1: 13.713
T2: 51.651
T3: 1'13.275

Still a lot to improve on, but at least i'm not 10 seconds behind everyone else... :lol:
 
so far my T-times are pretty embarassing. a T3 of about 1'14 at best is all I can pull out (of course I still have to play with the settings a little...)

After a little bit of tuning (mainly lowering the rear stability) I managed to pull out these times:
T1: 0'14.095
T2: 0'52.108
T3: 1'13.921
 
I'm not sure if this OLR is for me. I constantly find myself getting angry I hit this wall, or that. I... I don't know. I keep playing it because its a challenge, but the anger is probably going to take 10 years off my life. :P

This is why when you are constantly hitting a wall you start trying to hit the wall. Make a sport out of the angle at which you crash, the speed and how far you can make the car skid. This makes it fun, but you will need to take the day off from racing and not fear hitting the wall...
 
Hang in there,VG30DETT,anger/frustration can be a great motivation tool. I cant tell you how many times I wanted to pack it in,after spending hours and hour,just to get blown out.
You will get it.You will never know if you quit,though.That is for sure.
Anger only took three years off my life,but the grey hair is really starting to show,though

:lol: My hair is beginning to go white already as well (those dang lisence tests!). Oh well, GT4 will mean anger-management classes for me (else I turn into the Hulk...), especially since they made the lisense tests more difficult. The key point is that I survived...
 
anger is just a part of this series. Somthing im sure even affects Mr. P from time to time (tho probably rarely :P ) Just last night i swear i was just about to ready to snap my gt3 disk in half (blasphemy i know!) but i was that pissed off. So far this week im getting more frustrated w/ this race then i ever did w/ last weeks integra race. I see people pulling high 1'10's and im struggling just to break into the 11's. but i shouldnt be doing that. when you start looking at other peoples achievments and you aim for THIERS and fall short, thats where the anger starts. haha. I find its just best to ignore what everyone else is doing, and just focus on how YOU do, racing becomes much more enjoyable then.

well, its finally starting to come down to a respectable level here, just put up a new clean save of 13.5/50.5/1'11.3...seems to be in track w/ gokents times :D tho he still seems to be a bit quicker. hopefully more to come off of this w/ more practice, im using CFM's settings 👍 except ive changed a few things here and there, maybe w/ a few more tweaks i can eek closer to that 1'10.9 mark ::crossing fingers::

I think I will just do my own thing. I'm worried about getting dropped from pros to amerature, and I think that doesn't help.

meh, if you drop, you drop. No big deal. I came pretty close to dropping my AP History class this year, which there's absolutely nothing wrong with (I was having trouble keeping up...). Anyway, I think I will be moving up to the Amateurs soon, which means that I will be in competition with you (more the merrier :D)
 
Haha, yeah. Besides, how does that childish limrick go? First is the worst, second is the best? Yeaaaaah. Thats what all the kids would say if they couldn't win. SO HAH! TAKE THAT!

No more improvements for me I think, I haven't even tried again since Thursday...I was pretty happy with my time so I'll probably just turn it in tonight.:D Good luck everyone.:cool:
