Hello guys I got a question... I got that F1 2002 mod but there is something bad about the tyres, they're supposed to be grooved tyres but the grooves look like they have been painted on the car and it seems like they are even slicks for a moment, is there a way to fix that model mistake for the SD 2002 cars.

I already thought taking tyres from 2001 or 2003 would work but after changing and saving the sets, the tyres looked the same.
Or is there an even easier way for this?

And what values should be in surface.ini for an invisible collidable wall?

I just tried it, the car doesn't bump as much anymore, but the invisible obstacle is still there.

But this is progress for me anyway, thank you.
Perhaps there is another invisible collidable wall meshes. Which is the track you are modding?

About the STC Audi A4 here is what i do after downloaded her at ACTK (dont know if its the last version)
In CMshowroom adjust these settings:
caster: 6.6~
KPI: 13.xx~ (was at 0, not good)

in car.ini: test those values, they are good enough imo
[CONTROLS]
FFMULT=1.614
STEER_ASSIST=1.000
STEER_LOCK=480
STEER_RATIO=16
LINEAR_STEER_ROD_RATIO=0.0033

In Game, adjust front TOE to -10~ and rear TOE to +10~, drive like a charm except the gear ratio too close in 2/3/4
for the gearbox, have a look there:

PS: this car have also a problem with the 'rod_length' parameter (both front and rear) which also conditions the TOE and camber parameters

Please can you let me know how to make the caster and KPI adjustable? My CM is 0.2.6

Yeah, seems like people are getting annoyed and impatient because a few of us are trying to make a really nice car even better. Not sure what to call that, but it's a really baffling attitude to have in a modding thread.
I guess in these attention-deficit days some people just want a steady stream of mediocre stuff that they'll drive once before moving onto the next one. Quantity, not quality.

Hi gents, how to modify KPI and caster:

keep in mind the front caster is always negative (except on supermarket trolleys)
just play with the '2' point of the upper WB or/and the '2' point of the lower WB to set the CASTER. -6/-7 is an average value.
Points 1 and 3 of the upper WB have a lower position than the point 2, while points 1 and 3 of the lower WB have a upper position than the point 2, upper WB is always shorter than the Lower WB, all that combined with a good KPI makes the wheel when charged keeps a greater negative CAMBER

to set the KPI (in this case with DWB) just play with the '2' points of the upper and lower WB. Always to keep a negative CAMBER, the KPI must be positive. 13 is an average value.

I've just tried the original mod, there's the same problem and nobody's seen it. :boggled:

That is as true as none of us can escape death or taxes...

For my part, I apologize if at any time seemed that I was complaining about the development of the mod, that was not the intention... It's just that some of us are like spoiled, impatient children... 😅
