Hi All,
Just ran my first session,with a
T1=23.1,
T2=50.3.
I am sure there is more to come off this,as the car has yet to be fully run in.

Later,

@boom: I am on call this weekend and I may get to improve on my current best lap. So, I may be updating (actually, I already have :embarrassed:). I hope this doesn't inconvenience you.

Current best:
22.923
49.393
674HP
¼sec. faster total.

CarbonFiberMan's settings w/4deg. rear camber, tranny trick, brakes 24/22 and LSD 5/60/5.

I forgot to save the game after my last session and had to start over. I ended this session @ 59mi.

It sure drives nicely @ 674-676HP
More power=more tire spin. It could make it harder to drive, but maybe it'll be way faster.

Well, I'm off to bed.
Goodnight all.
:) :) :) :)

I got rid of the TCS altogether and changed a bunch of other stuff too, and my first two sectors got slower, but my lap time went down two tenths.

I managed to sneak a few short minutes while at work to post up my time for the day. :D :embarrassed:

I like what I've done! 👍 :cool:

T1 23.099
T2 50.056
:eek:

I don't think I'll have time tomorrow to get any more laps down, so I'm PM'ing my time in. :(

I like this car! :mischievous: :)

Well done Ellegance 👍
Nice sector times :) Gonna be tight in the amateur category once again. Nice to have new drivers around :)

Grrr. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to attempt some better times.

PS. I'm going to watch some Solo IIs tomorrow, hopefully I'll return with some nice pictures to show off.

I ran the car with 688HP and it's harder to drive.
But, it's also much faster.
Tainted: :(
22.863
48.952
.7sec. faster than before.
I ran wide exiting the last turn and couldn't improve on my existing time. :irked:
Now, I know my time isn't all that and I feel unfulfilled.
Anyway, something to shoot at.
Gotta fly out tomorrow, so what I have is all I'll get.
Oh well, good luck and good times.
:) :) :) :)

I know how you feel ODP. You now know you can be .7 seconds faster, but it's not so easy to settle with what you have, and you feel unfulfilled... Happens to me ALL THE TIME :banghead: T2 is a very nice sector time indeed.. one second faster than mine!

Great times there Oliver!

I went looking for a bit more stability, as my previous settings still drifted a bit more than I like. So I decided to use the shocks more to tune the cornering rather than the ride height difference.
I'm using all the same settings I posted except for:
Ride Height 92/95
Sh B 7/9
Sh RB 8/10

Those changes got me:

T1 23.159
T2 49.687

Still not on pace with Oliver, but that was my first lap with my new settings.

WOW I tried your advice and I beat my old lap by about .6 👍
I now have a T2 of 50.8 :D. I hope I can still Improve

finally had a chance to run a few laps with this. Initial times w/ CFM's settings are 23.6/50.5 w/ the car barely broken in yet, so definently more to come off w/ time and tweaking of settings. Not sure how much attention the weekly series is gonna get from me in the next few weeks w/ this board challenge coming up, but i will try to put whatever time i can into it :)

::edit:: new save w/ some tweaked settings 23.3/50.0 :)

23.477
50.283

Not sure how good of an overall lap time it will be. It was three tenths faster than my previous best, but I was scared I messed it up so I pussyfooted it around the long curve. :(

Arrgh I ran a 49.3 only to have a wheel barely pop off the rumble on the final turn for a split second. It was an awesome lap too, what a crock of shi:mad: . This is why I hate Deep Forest.:irked:

Ran a 23.360 and 50.381 with settings from CFM and Eggmann mixed together ... could not get faster than that no matter how hard I tried, but T3 was almost full throttle all the way, so will perhaps make up some time on the last section.

You don't have to blush with a time like that haha, jeez that's fast ... if only you could make it stick ! Good luck, I take it you guys still have time tonight to do a few laps, I've already sent mine in, as when I get to wrk tomorrow the cut-off has passed ...

Sorry about this kragbees, but I'm not gonna get a time in tonight (you'll win by default if you get a time in at all). Hopefully I will be back next week...

Jpec, Tis ok, I took a few minutes tonight to run. I figure that way we'll have at least two entries in teh beginner category.

T1=23.504
T2=50.569

Yes, everyone experiences this. You need to go by the time listed in the replay file and not what it says at the end of the video replay.

Speculation has it is that the very last frame of the replay is missing so that accounts for the time discrepency.

Heh, I go by that anyway because it's usually about a quarter-second faster. I have actually noticed that the variance in times is also present in the T1, T2, and T3 times. I believe this is because of the way that replays are saved (storing time indexes to the thousanth of a second of acceleration, deceleration, turning, and braking). The times in general are about .05-.3 seconds quicker than the actual race, which acounts for the difference between the time you recorded and the tiem listed at the raplay's end.

Well my final run has splits of 22.857 / 49.422 , but I know I lost about .200 or more from T2 to the finish, so we'll see how it ends up...I'm pretty sure Oliver got me but maybe I got a shot if he messed up the end too:P Good luck everyone, see ya in an hour.:cool:

PM sent, nevermind the blabbering in there boom, just me bein a drunken fool. I thought for a minute that I sent it late but it was indeed on time. :embarrassed:

Another mad dash home from the airport. :lol:
I've managed to improve, not 15 min. ago.
22.851
49.200

Right smack in between my previous and my fastest.
I'm glad there were no problems logging on. This time.
