Me too, but at least I'll give it a shot this week as I just may have a little time left to spare... (for once :rolleyes: )

I like this car. Once it's setup it's surprisingly fast. I like this course too. Find the line and cruise on through. What's that saying, "Rewards bravery and punishes mistakes."

Well, I had a bash last night.... My GF went out, so I was home alone for a few hours, and needed something to entertain me....

Got quite frustrated by the end of the night, cause I found a line that was upo to 0.5 sec quicker through to T1, but couldn't get the enxt set of corners right, and ended up losing 1 sec between T1 and T2... grr..

Anyway, a time which can be improved on, but best so far...

T1... 17.564
T2... 46.854

And as for the understeer... I've not had too much trouble with that except for one or two corners.. The rest are nicely held together.. Havre to work on dropping that 0.5 sec...

I'll get to work on a setting (no-one else is willing to try it it seems so I will take a crack at it). Has anyone seen my notes on MSpec's tuning guide?

I'll post the setup i have so far later on if i get around to booting up the ps2. its just a quick one i threw together to start off with, seems to work alright tho im sure it could use work. the setup cures half the understeer, the other half is up to you. you cant power thru turns very well w/ this car unless you really break the tail loose goin into a turn. otherwise its up to precise brake points, finding your line, and applying the right amount of throttle to get thru it. this car can stick to the road pretty well if youre nice to it, but its no supercar

Well, I'll post up my setup tonight when I get home from work and after my run... Not saying it's the best, but everyone has to start somewhere.

MSpecs tuning guide??? What's this talk of?

46's huh?

Well Im a bit off. (more like an eternity behind.)

But hey... I just got a new game, so my time this week wouln't be too much anyway.

I also have a mid term for psychology (sp?)

I think Im gonna do a lil' but for the most part, Im gonna take a little time to rest up for the big bvb.

Dont wanna burn out just before the comp starts ;)

Hi All,
Just had a go at this weeks event,and the first clean save has a
T1=17.4
T2=47.1
This car isnt so bad once you get into it.

Later,
cinjun8

He's right, it just takes some getting used to before you get really settled into the behavior patterns of the car (it's like the the zonda racer; very unique handling kinks). So far the best I've managed to pull is .2 seconds higher at T1 than cinjun8 and 2-3 seconds higher than cinjun8 at T2. I'm gonna need to give this car a little bit of a spankin' before it will ride well, hopefully I'll see some competing times by the end of the week :)

1st. decent save....

T1 17.7
T2 48.2

Dear Aunt... Hate the track. Hate the car. Hate Kansas. Took Toto. XXX Love Dorothy :grumpy:

That makes your times approx..

T1 = 17.6
T2 = 50.1

Edit.... Whoops... Learnt the difference between higher and lower Dom..... idiut...

Damn... I want your settings..... And I thought mine was at least half decent... 2-3 seconds is alot...
Huh :odd: Wouldn't that be the other way around ?.. If cinjun8 says his times are :
T1=17.4
T2=47.1
And Jpec07 says his times are
.2 seconds higher at T1 than cinjun8 and 2-3 seconds higher than cinjun8 at T2
In my book that makes his times:
T1=17.6 and
T2=49+

? ?

I had a message about what it would mean if someone claimed a 44.1, however, no one did, it was only a mis-calculated estimate.

My bad.

Then again, this should be a reminder... if you put in a time that fast, you gotta prove it.

But since no one put in a time like that, its all good. :D

Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for any confusion... Misstook higher to mean faster... Rather than overall time being a higher number... My Bad... Corrected my bad bad post....

I was beating myself up on this trying to come close to these other times :eek:

I'm loosing an entire second in just the first quadrant. :mad: I didn't have the computer on to double check, and all I could remember was Bombexus said "NA stage 1 only". Reading it this morning, I see "Your choice of tires". :banghead: Now I don't feel bad about my 18.X; 50.X runs.

Back to the DS2. :)

Those are the accurate times right there. My times are relatively slow here (have had trouble managing the car...)

Come on.. Puhleeze .. it would make it so much easier to for the reat of us :D

I think you'll find he means it will be easier for the rest of us cause it will be one less person to have to beat.... :lol:

Just might give the sims a go for a comparitive idea.... :scared:

well my fastest are 17.6/47.4 but i got 17.7/47.7 and shaved .5 seconds off so relatively speaking i could shave another .4 off that if i match my fastest sector times.

my settings are
19.8/17.8
55/55
4/9
4/7
2/1
1/-.5
3/5

Brakes 17/18
LSD 15
25
45

Gear preset 32
Downforce .85/.80

this rarly understeers (if correct braking is used)

I can't answer for Small Fryz, but the Panoz seems to react better to early braking for turns. I've tried to adjust my driving to brake earlier and accelerate out past the apex.
For instance, at the "coliseum turn" (double-right turn), I brake at the beginning and downshift to 3rd then accelerate once I'm past the first right-hander and shift to 4th as I'm going into the second right-hander. This seems to minimize the understeer exiting turns (it does for me anyway).

yeah if the car response is good if you shift the weight to the front bu dont brake while turning just tap brake while you turn into corner and it should be fine
