Well Ive got just enough time to put in a second session this week and thats what Im gonna do.

I got about 5-10 laps in at the begining of the week and that was about all I need to find some settings.

Now its just a matter to trying to keep up.

Whats the fastest t2 as of the moment... does anyone know?

Well, this car and I don't get along, so I will be back to let you know just how far off pace I am.

Atleast during this second session I will actually be able to just start and not worry about settings.

I will either post just before I leave, or after I get back from the bar. ;)

I don't see what's the whole big deal about this car having understeer. This is an awesome car. Very fun to drive. So after my initial 10 laps, with stock setup ( ASM 0, TCS 1, Max Downforce ) I got:

T1: 17.4
T2: 46.8

This is not a clean lap however.. but the two wall touches did NOT save me any time.

On a note of confusion... How come the deadline is now Tuesday instead of Monday :confused:
 
Well I think the tuesday thing has to do with the actually workings of a clock...

If you turn in a time at exactly 12:00am on monday, that would really be the latestest moment of sunday night.

So to turn in a monday night deadline of midnight, the technical time would be tuesday 12:00 am.

As for the car... Your right t13r.

I was amazed at how much better this car felt once I played with it.

When I first got gt3 I never used this car because I thought it was ****.

Now I see that it could be a viper killer.

Also, I ran a lap so close to dirty its not funny, however, after extensive review, it is clean indeed.

Just too close for comfort.

It's a 17.5 -> 47.1

Now its off to the bar for me to take care of some buisness.

btw, even though my 47.1 is alright to turn in, I doubt it will be a turn in lap.

I can bring that time down. (I think :D )
 
Oh yea... Didn't think about it as being Tuesday when it hits 12:00 am, so that's right then, confusion gone :)

Gave it another 10-15 laps to try and get a clean lap.. End result is this:

T1: 17.3
T2: 46.3

There are two really close calls where you probably wouldn't be able to fit your hand in between the car and wall, but there is no contact. If I dont have another go at this, this will be my submitted time. So good luck guys :)

BTW, I slightly altered my previous setup...
Ride Height is now 80/80
Dampers are 10/10, 10/10, and rear stabilizer at 5

If you will note, the time deadline is in Grenwich (sp?) Mean Time. So on Tuesday at 0700 GMT, it's actually, Monday at midnight my time, Mountain Standard Time.

Hope that clears that up. :)

ive tried for 400km and all i can get is 17.7/ 47.7
 
Adjusted my settings a little bit and whipped out a fast time (by comparison to what I was getting, this is like warp-speed). Anyway, here are my T-times:
T1: 0'18.063
T2: 0'48.870

That is one of my "miracle times" (times only God could provide me). Maybe with a little more racing I will be able to lower that time by hopefully a second or two. Keep racing... 👍

Edit: Scratch those times and mark these:

T1: 0'17.957
T2: 0'48.359

more than .3 seconds off my overall time with these, time submitted...

Well, after seeing that my times would no longer cut it, I went back to the drawing board, bought a new car, re-modded and ran in, and had a go starting with the base settings again.

I agree with T13R after this experience.

The car is actually quite good standard, and I don't know what people are complaining about.

It is quite neutral, and you can set it up in the corner for any style. Neutral, Understeer or oversteer. I suppose it is a little different to most cars, and so that makes it seem harder at first.

After 20 laps, I was under my previous best, however I had just clipped the wall, and while I knew it actually made my overall time slower, a hit is a hit, so I had to keep pushing. Able to finally complete (with a little tweaking) a better first section, and complete the last without hitting a wall, so I'm now happy with my new times...

T1 - 17.119
T2 - 46.284

I'm glad that we can talk about T1 and 2 times, cause otherwise I would have given up with my previous best, which clearly was nowhere near my best. I'm going to relax now.. Time submitted... Going to do some web work, which will hopefully benefit the comp.

I dont Believe it after a 10 minute session in my new car I now have a

17.3
47.1

That with T13R's setup and a little tuning of my own

Camber 2.5 - 1.5
Toe -0.5 - 0.5

I gave this an attempt, but I couldn't concentrate. Btw, other than some inconsistency in turning attitude, which is annoyingly prevalent in this game, I've found the car to be fairly nuetral. It's better than the last car.

I just won the Esperante, hard to say if I'll turn in a time this week. I was on vacation and had things to do and I really didn't like the thought of buying this car (I won it through the Time Trials).
 
Crap...

Fastest T2 so far is 47.7 ... Bugger is that I had the feeling I needed some acc. from the previous short session... Lo and behold - down 20 + odd Bhp due to lack of oil change...
 
Hi Guys! It's been a 🤬 weekend, but I'm a bit elated to see your times. :cool:

I'm buggered as to how some of you are making a 17.1 T1 because I'm a half second behind that. :mad:

Best so far I've made is 17.6 and a T2 of 47.6 👍 In a moment of glory, I ran a 47.2, only to miss my braking point for the Coliseum roundabout :washed right out into the far wall :banghead:

ATM I've got another 2 hours of game time before I head to the office ;) I'll PM my time in then.

Not a podium :irked: but getting better. 👍

hmm. have only had one session w/ this, and that was the first night the race was announced. haha...work sucks :( I'll have to see what i can pull out after i get off work tonight
 
Oh yeah - And ehhh Boom.. Something without walls for W34. I'll come up with a clever name if that's the case :D (Like "Rally Round the Family", "Germans in the Forest" and those good ones alike)

No walls would be nice, but I want to do Laguna Seca, have yet to see that in the WRS, and would much like to compete on it...
 
Okay, I get home, read this thread and fire up the game.
I started w/Tier's setup and after 4 laps, I see:
17.132
45.950
BUT, there's a slight scrape at turn4. Just once, I like to clean my first fast lap.
Continued to a:

17.426
46.166 +.281sec. (overall)

17.303
46.228 +.245sec.

Eventually ended up with:

17.209
45.903 -.016sec. submitted

I was too protective on the final turn and left .2sec.

My target is still .3sec. away (ain't happening).
This track will quickly pile on the miles. I mean, it takes a half a lap to check your T1.
I actually wore out a car (125mi). I can't remember the last time I've done that. Oh wait, it was Week18, Oreca Viper@MFII.

I ended up changing the LSD to: 10/60/25
and RH @ 65mm (in addition to what Tier had).


Anyone have trouble logging in tonight?

:( You had to post that so close to the deadline didnt you :( Oh well, I guess I will have to settle for second.. maybe even third, who knows! I wouldnt have had any time to improve on it though, so I'll try to be happy with what I got. Very nice T2 ODP 👍 ;) And yeah, GTP was almost impossible to access for a big part of the day.

You are the first one to finally use Tier btw :)

I posted as soon as I could. It took 1½hrs. to PM boom.
I was thinking, 'Oh great, watch, now I won't be able to submit in time'. It's happened before.
As a matter of fact, I got home early (4am) today. This allowed me to at least start running before dinner (finished @ 6pm). Many times, I don't finish trying until 10-10:30pt/ 11-11:30boomtime.

Right on ODP 👍 Cant believe you remembered that, I even forgot about it heh.

What was supposed to be my first WRS ( week 25 i think ) ended up being nothing because the site wasnt working for me when I finally got the time I wanted. I wonder what causes GTP to do this? Where is the server located? Is it due to maintenance? Or to huge amounts of traffic?
 
What is this tier?
Or is that another reference to T13R?

Think I'll have to slow myself down... Don't want to be getting promoted a level to have to contend with those sort of times...
 
I had a chance to give this a run last night, my time won't be anything special, just ran it to fill out the roster a bit. I did see a 46.0 on a dirty lap and several 46.1's along with many sub 17's at T1 with a lowest T1 of 16.880 so I knew if the ODP came along he'd get a 45 for sure.;) I think my submitted time was a lousy 17.1/46.5 but I let it all hang out from T2 to the finish and really knocked a big chunk off of my overall. I could easily see myself getting into the 45's if I would have started Monday or Tuesday instead of Sunday night.:lol: Good luck everyone.:cool:
 
time submitted. not as great as i'd like it to be, but what do you expect w/ an hour and a half of racing. final times were 17.5 :( /46.5. I did take well over a second off my overall time from my first run i did earlier this week, so i guess thats somthin to be proud of
