Yay, I have cracked the 1.03 barraier. (spelling)
BULLETIN:
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has determined that the maximum size load capacity on my butt is two persons at one time, unless I install handrails or safety straps. As you have arrived sixth in line to ride my ass today, please take a number and wait your turn.
Thank You,
Boombexus.
But seriously, I managed to get back in to this yesterday and iI like what's happened. 20.873, 38.192, 1'03.586. Nearly 2 seconds faster than my best to date. Most of the progress was when I figured out to take the Hairpin in 3rd and the big Esses in 4th with careful throttle control 👍 My next session tomorrow morning is working on that last corner.

Well, I'm usually to busy chasing you, Dodge the Viper and SandStorm around the forums to keep up with my own threads.

Well, I must say that I have always liked a little bit of tail steer in my cars. Helps when you can get it to pull the arse round on entry to the turn, and get on the throttle as early as possible I believe. But it's a catch 22 cause you can't just flatten it, but you need to feed it in. Esp on the exit of that hairpin, and midwaythrough the long sweeping right hander. The trick is to brake as hard as possible, and turn into the corner, getting off the brakes, and trying to hold it steady with a little oppy lock, and good throttle control. Sometimes you stuff it up, other times it's just perfect. But when it's right, it's all good. My largest issue has been too much drift into the sweeping right, and the final double left. And of course, drift = speed loss... But If you can get the grip levels just right with the throttle, then you can make up a decent amount of time. Just takes some practice.
If you are having trouble, perhaps try upping the rear downforce a little, and adding in some negative rear toe. I did try this at one stage, but for me, the car became too understeery, and I was loosing too much speed through the high speed corners for my liking.
